Hop back on the bus and make a beeline for Piazzale Michelangelo in the Oltrarno neighborhood, another prime lookout point. Gaze out over the Arno River, spot landmarks like Brunelleschi’s Dome and Palazzo Vecchio from afar and pose for photos by the bronze statue of Michelangelo’s David. Continue your tour in the historic center of Florence and keep your camera close by as you pass the magnificent Duomo and Baptistery, the striking Basilica di Santa Croce and the palazzos of Piazza Signoria. After your morning tour, break for lunch at a local restaurant and refuel with a scrumptious menu of traditional Tuscan cuisine. Start your afternoon tour with a visit to the first of Florence’s two great galleries—the Accademia Gallery, and beat the crowds with skip-the-line entrance. Inside, be captivated by works from artists like Michelangelo, Giambologna and Botticelli, but be sure to visit the gallery’s star attraction—Michelangelo’s original ‘David’ sculpture, upheld as the symbol of Florence. The final stop is the Uffizi Gallery, home to Renaissance wonders including Titian's ‘Venus of Urbino’ and Botticelli's ‘Primavera’. Skip the queue with priority entrance, then feast your eyes on priceless paintings from the likes of Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Caravaggio. Your tour ends here, so either stay on to further explore the galleries or make your own way back to your hotel.

Not organised enough
Dec 2018 • Couples
We went on this tour at the end of December. The beginning of the tour was ok with an Italian guide providing Italian and English translation. We went to the top of Florence and were given some time to take photos. We were then told that as there were so many Italians in another group that we would be given another guide and our original guide would need to join a different group. This was when the tour became very unorganised. We waited for over an hour outside the Accademia in the freezing cold to get in. After the Accademia tour, we walked for a bit around Florence. At lunch we were told that the tour had ended and that was it for the day. Our headphones were taken off us and we were told goodbye. No lunch and no visit to Uffizi. Throughout our time in Italy we took 8 guided tours through Trip Advisor. This was no way on par with every other tour. I really dislike giving bad reviews but after the money spent (£128) on this tour - we were disappointed not to have the service we paid for.

Hello Thanks, we highly appreciate your feeback and we would like to respond that: the waiting time at the entrance of any museum is not under control and everybody needs to respect it, in some periods of the year the city gets overcrowded and even the fast line joined by the people who have a reservation (us) moves slowly. Moreover, we do have the Special day in Florence option available for sale every day (except Monday) that includes both museums Accademia and Uffizi with lunch and it is one of the most appreciated activities we offer but that is not what you have reserved, you just bought the first half of it and we do not feel responsible for this. I remain at your full disposal and we wish we could welcome you again in Florence and have the opportunity to show you more. Kind Regards Antonella

Did this tour and was impressed with the details and knowledge provided on the tour. No fault of the company but was just not impressed as much with our Florence tour with others more as a city. Would have liked to do a food tour rather than sightseeing if I could do differently but again, no fault of the company or guides who did a great job.

Great way to skip the lines
Jul 2018
We found this a great tour to see Florence best galleries. The museums are amazing and the knowledge of the guides we had were great.
We got a little annoyed as the language translation was in Spanish and English so you tended to zone out the Spanish which made you miss the English part. Also it is two separate half day tours in one.
The meeting place was so confusing. It said to meet at a grassy patch by palm trees inside the train station at platform 16, in actual fact it isn't even close to anything like that, it is outside the train station by the car park area, it made no sense at all, lucky we made it there early to ask around. They need more signage to show you were to go, maybe a gazebo or something, and clear correct instructions.

Dear Andrew, We're really glad that you enjoy the time with our guides and that you enjoyed your stay in Florence. On the other hand, we would like to let you know that, as you can see on our website, all of our tours are confirmed in English and Spanish, so normally the bus tours are bilingual, but in the museums each group has an "individual" guide which only speaks English or Spanish. And yes, it is a tour that is given in two parts because we give time to eat to all the customers, it could be a bit heavy to do the whole tour without giving the necessary time for them to eat. Furthermore, you're right, the meeting point is outside the train station, the agency with which you booked had to have communicated to you about this. The meeting point that we are currently using is the one that has granted us the municipality, so we can not do anything but stick to their directives. We are in continuous contact with local authorities to improve the situation, and fortunately starting from November we will be assigned a new meeting point more suited to the needs of our customers. Best Regards, Ciao Florence Staff

This was really two half-day tours with a lunch ticket in between. Both halves were very interesting, but a very long wait at the Accademia Museum made it impossible to take full advantage of this site and still have time for a relaxing lunch before the afternoon tour. It was necessary to navigate on one's own to the restaurant and then back to the starting point for the second tour. This was not clear in the description of the tour. Both tour guides were excellent!

Disappointing and terrible lunch. You still spend at least 30 minutes in each line.
May 2018 • Family
We had several guides, but Larissa was specially bad. She guided us through the Uffizi gallery, and constantly suggested that we should leave because it was very boring. She mentioned that husbands would divorce their wives for making them visit the gallery. The tickets were very expensive and the lunch terrible. Our family of 3 paid almost US $500 for a day tour. We went to a panoramic tour and the Academia in the morning with a reasonable guide. She dropped us at a tourist trap restaurant, where a full meal costs $18 Euro per person. They served us only pasta (not the full meal) and lemon-ice (it would be less than $18 Euro). Then we continue on a city tour and the Uffizi gallery. Don't take the full day tour. And definitely, don't take the meal. Any restaurant in town will be cheaper and better.

Dear Madame, thank you for your feedback. We are extremely sorry for not having met your expectations, we will take your commentary into serious consideration in order to improve our services. However, let me take advantage of your report to express our point of view. All our professional guides are carefully selected by our manager, who examines their language skills as well as their attitude and passion about their profession. Moreover, all of them have already passed an official examination in order to get the certification to exercise their profession as an official tour guide. I am sorry if you did not find Larissa's sense of humour appropriate to the context, I am sure she was just trying to be nice and to familiarize with the group. Anyhow we will tell her to avoid this kind of innocent jokes in the future and to stick to the artistic and historic contents only. Since you are not mentioning other issues about her, I assume that you have at least appreciated her language skills and her knowledge. Regarding the price of our Florence full day tour, I think you should also consider all the services included in the package, that is to say Accademia and Uffizi tickets with reservation (€16 for the Accademia and €24 for the Uffizi), 2 bus trips to such panoramic spots as Piazzale Michelangelo and Fiesole, Florence tour guides at your disposal for the whole day, walking tours and a typical Tuscan lunch. The price is balanced according to the wide range of services offered. As for the lunch, it is served in a typical "trattoria" located in San Lorenzo district, just besides the Duomo Square. Actually you did not pay $18 per person but €11. In fact, morning and afternoon city tours are also sold separately at respectively €55 and €67 (so €122 in total), while the combination of these 2 tours with lunch included is €133. You may agree with me that €11 is a quiet reasonable price for a lunch consisting of bruschettas, 2 different kinds of pasta, a dessert and water and wine included. I am sorry if you did not appreciate the quality of the restaurant, which is actually rated with 4 stars and a half on Tripadvisor. I would like to thank you again for your feedback and I wish you all the best. Regards, Veronica
