The best part of our trip was our tour guide Marco! He really made this trip a real experience! Marco was extremely knowledgeable and shared interesting details that kept our attention throughout the whole trip. One can really see that he loves what he does and puts his heart in it! He was very friendly and kind. I am a vegetarian and he made sure I was served a vegetarian lunch which was very thoughtful and highly appreciated.
We booked the trip with a visit of the Cathedral in Siena and it was absolutely worth it as it’s beautiful inside 🤩
Also, I would recommend booking lunch with wine tasting as we tasted olive oil, truffle oil and balsamic vinegar as well, which were delicious. And the homemade pasta was so tasty! We didn’t have high expectations but we were pleasantly surprised by the winery and the staff! I wouldn’t recommend bringing kids to the wine tasting as they were so noisy, it felt disrespectful for the winery tour guide and it was also frustrating for the rest of us.
The time spent in each town was just enough for a one-day trip!

Cristian was AWESOME! He made sure we made it to our destinations in a timely manner and he had vast knowledge/historical facts about the places we were going to. He was very organized and made sure we hit all the "must-see" spots while adventuring around the locations.
The private tour was worth the price - It really helps when you have an awesome tour guide.
Thanks Cristian for making our Florence experience special.

Sandro is the best tour guide and the driver Rosano did a great job. I usually sit in the front of busses to pay attention to the road but after seeing how careful they were I felt more comfortable. Sandro also introduced the local guide in Sienna who explained all the magnificent artwork inside the cathedral.
We were lucky to see all the marble floor artwork this month that the cathedral was allowing the floors to be uncovered.
The wine tasting was exquisite and San Gimignano absolutely has the best view of Tuscany.
To all of you who made our day amazing Milton grazie! 👏👏👏

Roberto (guide) and Claudio (diver) were very nice. Roberto tried to be helpful and was very informative on the bus, but the quantity of participants (63) and the speed with which Robert walked (fast) off the bus made trying to keep up with him impossible for us. The radios and earphones in Siena were not helpful for us for these reasons. One in our group used a cane and another had a bad back so we assumed we would hang back and see the cities ourselves (we did read the fine print about the tour that says people with ambulatory and back issues should not take the tour). Despite trying to be diligent about getting back to the meeting point, I got lost in Siena and delayed the bus departure for about 15-20 minutes; Roberto was kind enough to wait. Another participant in our group injured his foot on the trip and wanted to remain on the air conditioned bus while the other participants went with the tour but he was told that ‘was impossible’ and he had to get off the bus (and wait in the heat). Lunch was mediocre at best. Tiny wine tasting portions (‘only one per guest’ I was told after a tiny sip of sparkling white wine) were self-defeating for the winery. Each waiter poured different amounts for the tastes as well. It is unsettling and annoying to see the person’s tasting portion across the table from you be almost 3 times the size of yours! Had we been able to enjoy more wine during the lunch, the owners may have been able to sell more wine before we left! The food was very bland. There was not enough meat sauce on the pasta; the pasta was boring. The lunch seemed focused for convenience and on maintaining a relationship with Ciao Florence. The cities on the tour are beautiful but trying to see three of them in one day is too much work. Changing the lunch to a cold, boxed lunch that you stop briefly for would give more time in the cities. The bus was packed full; tough to deal with on super hot days like Florence and Tuscany are experiencing right now as everyone returns to their seat dripping wet with sweat. Water was $1 per bottle on the bus; it should be free.
The cities saved the day. Each is beautiful but the visits too short. The long walks from the bus drop off points to the cities are annoying but necessary to meet UNESCO requirements.
All in all, I’m glad I went… but a private/smaller tour would have been more well-suited to our entourage.

The locations of this tour was great, the bus ride was comfortable, siena cathedral tour guide was excellent
HOWEVER, the escort (Elizabeth) made this a horrible experience. She was unprofessional and it felt like she did not want to be there.
Firstly, she had a poor command of English and spoke in a truncated manner by stringing up English words that she knew, mixed with numerous Italian vocabulary. It was very difficult to follow what she was saying. Her tone was also monotonous and unengaging. Although we signed up for the English tour, Italian was clearly her language preference.
Furthermore she appeared inexperienced in managing a tour group. This tour was large in size but overall cooperative. She did not give clear instructions on meeting times initially, and that resulted in people returning late. She was unable to do a proper roll call, and had little idea on how to troubleshoot when people were late. She was also unable to anticipate problems and assist the tour group. She gave instructions to sit back in our own seats and encouraged us to leave our belongings in our individual seats. However a family was late for the first journey, and was not informed of this. Understandably they were lost and did not know what to do, they sat in other people's seats and that led to a chain of confusion. In the end, other group members had to split up to accommodate the family who insisted on sitting together. Despite the commotion, the escort was completely unaware of this situation, she sat at the front of the bus and did not assist with this situation at all.
All in all, we would have had a much better experience without her, the bus driver alone could have given the basic instructions required.

TLDR: Wouldn't recommend this tour to a friend. The sights are nice but could be done on your own at a MUCH more efficient pace, the food is below average, and the trip itself is way too crowded.
Our first mistake with this tour was not understanding the size of the group. When we read the "limited to 9 per group" we thought that meant 9 per tour group, but it meant 9 per booking. If you would rather do a smaller day trip, just be aware that this is a double-decker bus full of people. This isn't the fault of the tour, we were just a little surprised upon arrival. The large size of the group presented a few annoyances. Other groups were constantly late to the meeting points and the tour guides were very patient with people not respecting the time of others. This resulted in us being able to spend very little time at each of the tour stops. You get about 45-30 minutes to explore each place, but this could also vary by tour if people are actually on time. The bus is airconditioned, but keep in mind you are still in the Tuscan countryside so the bus is still very hot. The lunch at the winery was small and disappointing, but the wine tasting was nice. The "hearty three-course lunch" description is misleading. Maybe I'm too used to American portions, but for that to be the only food you received for a 12 hour tour seemed inadequate. There were also no phone chargers or water on the bus. The only highlight of this tour was being able to explore beautiful Pisa, Siena, and San Gimignano. We think you would be much better off renting a car and doing these stops at your own pace or booking with a much much smaller tour.

THe tour was well organized and well run!
It was so cool to see the medieval towns in Tuscany!
It is certainly a must to see sienna, San Giordano and Pisa when in Florence.
We are certainly glad we did.
The cathedral tour in sienna was amazing - definitely recommend getting the guide to explain the amazing art inside - Michelangelo statues included.

Constantino was a great tour guide! He was successfully able to herd 80 people by himself (his partner was sick with COVID that day). His tour was very informative and lighthearted. He was patient when people were late to meeting points but that was usually negated by the driver, Luca's, ability to navigate the tour bus quickly to the next destination. The lunch at the VIP winery was the highlight of the trip. The owner provided a delicious lunch and a lot of great wine! I would have paid the tour price for just that experience!

My husband and I had a fantastic day trip with Elizabeth (Elizabetta?). Whilst being hugely knowledge about the area, she was also incredibly entertaining!
The scenery throughout is absolutely gorgeous, San Gimignano was a particular highlight of the day! We both very much enjoyed the trip to the vineyard and the delicious lunch. This is advertised as a three course meal, however the final course was only biscotti which I wouldn’t usually consider a whole course.
This is no fault of the organisers at all as the itinerary was very well organised, but due to a few other tourists being unable to stick to time, subsequent parts of the trip felt a little rushed. I think it important to be aware you may be on the tour with 70 other people and a small minority may act in their own interests throughout the day impacting the rest of the group. If you do book this trip, please be mindful of everyone and be on time for each departure!
I would highly recommend the day trip for anyone staying in Florence longer than 2-3 days and looking to see more of Tuscany.

Overall, the trip was good. It was well organized and smoothly run. We had time to spend in San Gimignano, Siena and Pisa. The lunch at winery with wine tasting was a good experience with food portions were a bit small.
The main issue we had was that the tour guide really wasn't much of a guide more of a tour coordinator. He did not spend anytime explaining the history and sharing anecdotes about each location, Upon asking to provide some insights all we got was 3 sentences on San Gimignano since that was the next site we were visiting when asked about giving some history.

Hi,
if the train from venice arrive on time at 7.39 am, is it possible to catch this day trip. and if yes any guidance from the train stop to your start location. Thanks.

It will depend on the departure time of the Siena, et al trip. Santa Maria Novella is a 15 minute walk from the bus tour departure place. At the train station, turn left once you exit the train platform control gates. As you exit the building you will see McDonald's across the street. Turn left. You will walk down the primary street that runs in front of the McDonald's. Walk past the commercial buildings on your left until you reach a major thoroughfare that is easy to cross (at the crosswalk). Once across the street turn left. Walk to the bottom of the hill (100 yards?); the bus loading area will be to your right.
It is now July 2022 your site says it needs negative covid test and/or proof of "vaccination" (even tho you still get/give covid). Is this rule still in existence? Do you still need to prove that at that moment you are germless ?

We took our Covid passes but were never asked to show them. I believe that they are no longer required in Italy. They are still hot on wearing masks though on all.public transport (buses and trains). and in crowded places, e.g. concerts. Sanitiser is still widely used with dispensers on shops, in cafes, on trains etc.
