About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- rhondawT6376SZ0 contributionsHighly recommend this excellent cooking class!! Luca and Carmela are awesome! This cooking class was a true highlight of our trip to Italy! It was organized, fun, and the food we cooked was fabulous! We loved the Tuscany farm, the beautiful indoor and outdoor kitchen, and the chefs (Luca and Carmela) were the best! My husband (who does not cook) thoroughly enjoyed the experience and had so much fun! I highly recommend this cooking class- and we thought the price was very reasonable and totally worth it!Written 15 September 2024
- mercedehkalantari0 contributionsOne unforgettable beautiful day !!!!We had an awesome day .Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, making the experience even more enjoyable. We visited beautiful towns :Siena, San Gimignano and Pisa and had time to explore and shop. The wine tasting at a local vineyard was the highlight of the day. The wines were fantastic, and the lunch was delicious. The scenery with vineyards and olive trees was stunning. The tour was well-organized, and we had enough time at each stop. If you want a relaxing day in the Tuscan countryside, this trip is a must!Written 15 September 2024
- 133heatherc0 contributionsThis is a Walking Tour!If you are thinking of doing this trip please bear in mind the information given in the itinerary. There is a LOT of walking and it is a very long, tiring day. That said, it is a fantastic day out. Each stop was packed with interest, beauty and an insight into many facets of Italian history. I see some people have moaned about the walk to and from the bus. It is actually round the side of the train station and literally a seven minute walk. The buses can’t pull up closer to the station. Our guide, Gianluca, was brilliant. He was calm, funny and clearly well educated with a huge knowledge of the areas visited. It is no small feat to keep track of a bus load of tourists, wandering off and going at different speeds, crossing roads and gawping at buildings instead of looking where they’re going. He kept everyone in check and must have walked twice as far, up and down, as the rest of us. The day crammed a lot in but for those short on time it is a great way to get round. Highly recommended, including the meal which was lovely. The whole farm set up is a wonderful concept and the people there were lovely.Written 15 September 2024

- H5731KOjacka0 contributionsA Perfect Tuscany Day Trip: Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa, and Winery LunchI recently took the Tuscany Day Trip from Florence, which included visits to Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa, and a delightful lunch at a winery. Here’s a breakdown of my experience: 1. Siena: Our first stop was Siena, and it was a fantastic introduction to the Tuscan landscape. The city's medieval charm and historical architecture, including the stunning Piazza del Campo, were highlights. We had enough time to explore and take in the atmosphere. 2. San Gimignano: Known for its medieval towers, San Gimignano was a picturesque stop. The town's preserved historical buildings and narrow streets made for a charming walk. The views from the town’s walls were breathtaking. 3. Pisa: The Leaning Tower of Pisa was, of course, the main attraction here. It was impressive to see it in person, and we had ample time to take photos and explore the surrounding area. 4. Lunch at a Winery: The highlight of the trip was the lunch at a local winery. The food was delicious, featuring traditional Tuscan cuisine, and the wine tasting was a wonderful experience. The setting was serene, with beautiful vineyard views. Overall: The tour was well-organized, with a good balance of sightseeing and relaxation. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly, making the experience enjoyable. It’s a great way to see some of Tuscany’s highlights in a single day. Highly recommended for a taste of Tuscany!Written 14 September 2024

Amazing Tour with a Wonderful, Knowledgeable Guide! It was thoroughly an amazing experience from start to end. The meeting point was very easy to find our guide, Lavinia, and from there she was very knowledgeable and nice. We learned all about the wine, olive oils, and history, while getting amazing views on our journey to the vineyards. All the wines were great, the olive oil experience was unique and educational, Lunch at the restaurant was some of the best food we had all trip and it made you not want the tour to end! I would highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to learn more about the beautiful Chianti region. The 4x4 bus was comfortable, overall Well worth your time, you will not be disappointed!

We don't usually enjoy group tours, but I will recommend this tour to everyone. Our friend booked this for us and we did not quite know what to expect when we met Lavinia at the library. I don't know that anything could have prepared us for this safari. It's hard to conceptualize that truck until it's in front of you.
The ride to the first vineyard was a crash course about chianti and all of it's wonders. Lavinia was engaging and informative, somehow making everyone feel like they were on their own personal wine tour. No question was small or trivial and she took the time to get to know everyone on the bus. Pairing that with breathtaking views, great food and wine means we had an unforgettable experience.

An amazing tour across the Chianti area, we visited several wineries where we had the chance to taste delicious wines as well as amazing local cheese and salumi. The tour bus was very modern and comfortable and this allowed us to enjoy the Tuscan countryside even while moving from one location to the other. The tour is well balanced between tastings, explanations and exploring of wineries landscapes. The lunch at an astonishing location on the Chianti hills was also an incredible mix of delicious Tuscan food and wines and it certainly belongs to the highlights of the tour.
Martina has been an amazing guide, she posses a deep knowledge and passion for wine and tuscan culture as well as a very friendly entertaining and enjoyable personality. She explained a lot of details about wine making process and proper way of assessing wine quality in a way that was easy to understand and engaging also for people new to the topic. She took care of us during the entire day, always making sure that we were having an amazing experience. She even organized an additional olive oil tasting experience at a breath-taking location, such an unexpected and delightful gift :-) This tour is worth the money 100% and I would recommend it to anyone in the Florence area willing to make a Chianti tasting experience.

The tour was awesome. We went as four and were a group of 12 people. Everyone was very friendly and after the first few glasses of wine everyone connected with each other. Martina (our guide) had great expertise and you could feel the passion behind her job. Fernando (the driver) got us safe and sound through the hectic italien traffic. We got to see some of the most beatiful scenery around tuscany and probably the whole of italy. The wine selection was very good and we had to buy a few bottles as well. All in all it was a wonderful day and I would recommend it to everyone who wants to quite literally get a taste of tuscany.

What an amazing tour. Lavi was the best tour guide ever. We drank lots of great wine, ate lots of great food, and enjoyed the beautiful Tuscan country side. I would recommend this tour to anyone and will be looking into additional tours by this company for future trips. Additionally, the 4x4 was quite comfortable and attracted much attention from the locals. all on all, a great day.

If you are interested in learning about the great wines, olive oil and local foods from a completely authentic perspective, this is the tour for you. So much to rave about!
First off, our guide Martina, was beyond excellent. Passionate, knowledgeable and a real "people person" she was the ideal guide for this experience. She went out of her way, repeatedly, to ensure that everybody was having a great time. One of the best tours my wife and I have ever been on. Martina was able to provide fantastic and easily understood answers. Top notch!
The tour was incredibly immersive, roving over the twists and turns as we went from one vineyard to another. The entire experience was very well-curated and each visit was different from the prior vineyard. Food, snacks and beverages were all just great. It was a long day but completely worth it - by the end of our time together, the entire tour group (~20) were chatting away like best of friends.
And no review would be complete without mentioning our driver, John. The vehicle pictured in the photos is truly an imposing beast, capable of handling the rough roads - but John handled the vehicle with skill and considerations. Sure there were some bumps and jolts on the way, but kudos to John for a job well done.
Would highly recommend this experience.

This was an amazing tour, my wife particularly loved the 4X4 military style vehicle (air conditioned). We accessed beautiful and hard to access areas of Tuscany wine and olive region. Stefano our guide was >5 stars out of 5. The vineyards and olive grooves visited were beautiful, friendly, and educational. The lunch was wonderful, the food, wine and views were superb. We recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience Tuscany vineyards.

The Chianti safari tour was excellent. The group was a great size and the tour guide Alessandro was so personable, knowledgeable and friendly. Roberto, the driver of the purpose made vehicle made me and my partner feel very comfortable and safe whilst driving on extremely bumpy roads in the remote Tuscan countryside. If you are interested in the region and the history of wine making in the area the this is definitely a tour worth saving up your money for. We would not usually spend this much on an excursion, but this was a present for my 30th birthday and it was worth every penny. Highly recommend if you like being in the countryside and love wine!

We did this tour in late April 2022 and it was one of the highlights of our three weeks in Italy! Lavi was our tour guide and Roberto was our fearless driver. Lavi was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and wine and gave us so much fun and useful information.
The three wineries we visited were fantastic - we bought six bottles each at two of them (first and third stops of the day) to have shipped home to the States. Lunch at the second stop was absolutely delicious - I am still thinking about the divine truffle pasta we had that day. One of the reasons I love to do wine tours (other than drinking new wine) is to meet people, and our group on this tour was a lot of fun.
I highly recommend this tour when in Florence as a great way to get outside the city, see more of the Tuscan region, meet new people, and drink delicious Chianti Classico.

We were staying in Florence for a couple nights and wanted to do an excursion and go way outside the city. I think we found the perfect tour. The wines we tried that were included were across the board fantastic. The creamy truffle ravioli at the restaurant was probably the best pasta dish I have ever had, ever. Alex was fun and had no trouble at all filling several hours of bus travel with interesting info about what we were seeing all around us. This was easily the best thing we did in Florence and I would recommend it to anyone.

You could leave your luggage at our office in via Vinegia 23R, close the the tour meeting point, and collect it back at the end of the evening.
You should be able to catch a train at 7.14pm, unless there are problems with heavy traffic on teh journey back to Florence.

Hi, I see they state that vegetarians are not catered for. However some of the reviews state that people who were vegetarian on the tour were catered quite well. I have this tour booked for September (and am vegetarian!), should I bring snacks with me in case I do not get catered for? Or should I not worry? Thanks in advance!!
Written 20 June 2022
There were quite a bit of meat options but I do think they would cater to your needs. And there was always at least one vegetarian option - for instance we had a ravioli dish that was vegetarian. And the appetizers (bruschetta, mushroom crostinis and cannelloni beans crostini). But they were very accommodating so I wouldn’t worry
