Fantastic Intro to Italian Cooking
Oct 2019
Whether novice or experienced this was an enjoyable class. This is one you could take more than once to pick up better skills. Great people running this as well - very patient but kept the class moving along.

Fun, fun, fun and delicious!
Nov 2019 • Couples
We had the best time taking this cooking class with Adela. She was knowledgeable and patient, fun and informative. We would recommend taking this cooking class when in Florence. The food was delicious and, as it turned out, the best meal we’ve had in Florence since arriving 4 days ago! Wish we had the leftovers! Highly recommended. Ciao!!

Fun class with my daughter
Sep 2019
My daughter and I enjoyed our cooking class and getting to know the other people in the group. Our instructor was great and the food we ended up making was delicious! We even got to take home the recipes so we can impress our friends back in Texas.

An fun introduction to Italian cooking
Sep 2019
My husband and I booked the course during our trip to Florence. We cook a lot at home, but picked up plenty of tips in the couple of hours of cooking. It was well organized and presented by Walter and his colleagues. A great way to get to know other travelers. Really enjoyed eating what we made afterwards. It didn't bother us that the food went into 'one pot' in that you weren't eating what you made. Great price and content. Would recommend.

more of an activity rather than learning Italian cooking
Sep 2019 • Solo
Ours was a large class 24+ broken into 4 cooking stations. two stations had their own chef, we had the head chef attending two groups. Be prepared for a lot of standing as there were only a few chairs available in the cooking area. Be aware that you won’t be eating what you prepared personally. All the food is combined together and then served out in a dining area. Hope that everyone is decent at cooking! This also didn’t involve going to a market to shop for the food which is why I booked this class as I didn’t have more time to devote to that, but i’m retrospect, perhaps that’s where you might learn more.
We made a potato flan type appetiser which involves peeling potatoes, ricing them, and mixing together some more ingredients and putting the mixture into cups. some of us chopped onions. note that each person doesn’t prepare everything, you work as a group at your station. if you happen to have a Julia Child at your station, you end up standing and watching a lot, not much doing.
we also made some turkey marsala which involved browning turkey chunks and more chopped onions and mushrooms. Lastly we put together a tiramisu for dessert. we also made pasta for ravioli but that was a bit more of a job than time allowed for so the dough didn’t get thin enough and it ended up being quite thick and tough ravioli. there was a lot left in bowls no one wanted to eat.
This is getting long so I’ll try to remain brief. Dinner was finally served well after 8:00. Other folks joined the eating part, not sure where they were in preparing. i was disappointed that there didn’t end up being enough of the turkey marsala for everyone. the first people served had a decent portion but by the time they got half way served i saw them counting how many more to go and we ended up with about three pieces of meat and it was more of a taste of the fish rather than a true dinner.
all in all i was disappointed that you didn’t really learn at least some tuscan cooking and there wasn’t enough food (other than the lousey ravioli) for a dinner. i needed to supplement on my walk back to the hotel.

Fun, informative and delicious cooking class
Sep 2019 • Couples
My wife and I enjoy cooking on our own but are far from being “chef material”. This class was a fun and informative dive into Italian cooking including panna cotta, homemade pasta noodles, chicken cacciatore and more. We worked with 5 other vacationers and Luca as our instructor. We had fun and Luca was a very patient and kind teacher, ensuring that everyone was involved in the class. One of the participants was French, and he wound pause throughout the class to ensure that she understood all of his instructions (which he was providing to us in English). Great value. Highly recommend.

WOW! the food we made was amazing! the class was kind of big, BUT, they break you up which makes it a perfect size class! The Chefs are awesome and help you with every step, and they explain why certain ingredients are used or why the food cooks certain ways. At the end, you get to eat everything and WOW! soooo yummy!!! I'm now going to have to invest in a pasta machine to make my own! They also give you the recipes for what you made!

Loved the Ravioli
Had Adela as our chef, and she was a fantastic teacher with an excellent sense of humour! We cooked four courses, all of which could be modified as we pleased. Adela also taught us variations we could try if each meal at home, and basic tips for cooking - ie which oil to use, how to chop correctly, the purposes of various knifes etc. Had an excellent group to work with - although the other group brought children which quickly got bored with the long session time.

Amazing four course meal, well taught & explained but Chef Walter. We had a great time with our two teens, but really it would suit singles, couples & groups alike. We met very nice people which was all part of the experience. I highly recommend this class while in Florence!
