30-minute gondola ride didn’t include wait time or walking time to the gondolas. We also had to wait whilst a couple complained and demanded a refund delayed us even more. We were not told anything about the city by the gondolier and we were barely on the grande canal, nowhere…

Dear Suz123nne, thank you for choosing Bucintoro Viaggi during your stay in Venice. We are sorry to read that you didn't completely enjoy our Gondola Ride. The duration of the Gondola Ride is indeed 30 minutes, but we always indicate to be at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before the departure to change your voucher into a regular ticket. We also indicate that the departure point ,after the check-in, is a few steps away from our office. As for the gondolier not providing explanations, he is not a tour guide: his job is to maneuver the gondola (which we can assure you is not the easiest thing!) and therefore needs to be focused on what he is doing, for everyone's safety. Of course, if you have any question, he will be more than happy to answer: but if you look for a guided tour, we have plenty of other tours matching your desires.
