I you are going for romantic, take the Gondola at night, because it's quiet. By day it's full of tourist. As most review say, it does smell a bit at certain points, but the ride totally worth it.
Ditch the crowds and opt for a personalized experience of Venice’s iconic Grand Canal during a private gondola ride—the most traditional way to see the City of Water. During your 1-hour cruise, bask in the undivided attention of a private guide who can answer all of your questions about Venice. Plus, traveling by boat means you’ll get unobstructed views of the architecture that lines the UNESCO-listed waterway.
Greet your guide at a designated meeting point at the departure time selected at checkout. Step aboard a traditional Venetian gondola and set out along Rio della Madonnetta, passing the canalside neighborhoods of Santa Croce and San Polo.
Your private guide provides historical and cultural commentary as you enjoy unobstructed views of Ponte dell’Accademia and the Gothic features of the Ca' d'Oro (Palazzo Santa Sofia), and glide beneath the world-famous Rialto Bridge (Ponte di Rialto).
After the ride, your gondola returns to your original departure point.
