I wished I had read the reviews before we book this, this was the worst experience in Venice ever. We arrived to our tour and was greeted by one on the rudest tour guides I have ever met, he didn't try to speak to us or look at our tour voucher. Instead he snatched the voucher and pointed to us the end to the cue. We waiting and then was directed to sit on a Gondola but my husband and I were seperated I asked to be moved and they didn't acknowledge me at all so I moved myself. The serenade was only on one Gondola not ours, so we had to try and keep together to hear the serenade. Not a very romantic ride at all. Once we docked we tried to ask about the dinner, but not acknowledged us at all. No one spoke English and refused to talk to us, just waving their hands in the air. The senior person was rude and obnoxious and made us feel like we were a nuisances and had inconvenienced his day by trying to ask for directions to a restaurant we had paid for. The entire tour turned out to be a nightmare rather than an amazing experience. The locals had suggested to get a private Gondola opposed to the bigger companies rather than the one we choose, I wished we listened now. We did try to get a refund once we were home...but you guessed it TravelCube the tour company knocked us back with a response of Sorry No refund. This is a RIP OFF!!!!! No Customer Service or Culture, Just Rude people who only want to take your money.

I asked for a refund because the tour was not as described and after the condola ride headed to the restaurant and it was closed and below is their response: very disappointed. Don't book

The serenade on board is not guaranteed, since the tour is planned to have one serenade every 8/9 gondolas, to guarantee all the passengers to hear the music.

The restaurant is working following the time of the Italian life style. The restaurants are open for lunch and dinner, but from 15.00 to 18:00 they are close for siesta. In fact you had booked the gondola ride and serenade with dinner ( dinner time: 18.30 – 22.00)

We booked a number of tours while in Venice and Rome this week and this was the worst. The people at the launch point for the gondola were rude and not helpful. There was also no one serenading in our boat, it was a guy in one of the eight boats that were floating around together and most of the time you could not hear him. The real rip off is the dinner. We were not able to locate the restaurant even with help from locals... NOT THE Gondola people. DO NOT BOOK THIS... just go to St Marks Square and book a gondala ride... that was much better

Gondola ride was fun. Although we were a group of boats, with only one singer, it didn’t bother us at all!
We had to find our way to the Restaurant, but we asked people for guidance. Not an issue.
Then the Restaurant. It was spectacular. The owner/manager made us feel extremely welcome and the food was great.
Tip: Print two copies and only give one to gondoliers. Restaurant requires one as well.
Recomended!!

travelling with my elderly mother, this was her highlight in Venice. The gondoliers were very entertaining, the canals are very special, and the music was delightful. Our dinner was a few blocks away from the launch point. We had the most incredible time with our hosts at Hostaria Ai Coristi! They welcomed us like long lost family. The food was typical, the wine was very good, and the space-quaint. If we ever return to Venice, we WILL come back to see our "family" here.
