Loved this! What a great experience….mind blowing kilometres of well lit caves. A little train for 10 mins (take a jacket but don’t need gloves etc) then about 45 m easy walk with excellent audio guide.

We decided to do the Hop On Hop Off Bus when our cruise ship docked. The pick-up point is relatively close to the cruise terminal. However, based on the limited buses in use, the time lag involved waiting for buses can be quite lengthy. We rode the bus to view the sites and only departed at the Miramare Castle stop. The stop was a distance from the Castle. On the return trip back to the cruise port, we decided to take a local bus instead of waiting for the Hop On Hop Off. The local bus schedules are rather confusing, so we asked a couple people (locals) and received different answers from each person. The price of the bus ticket is very reasonable. We ended up asking the bus driver, when he stopped, if the bus went back to the cruise port, which was easier.

We precooked our tickets and took the small bus. The buses are prompt, they are clean and driver and hostess were wonderful. We felt like we booked a private tour based on how they treated their guests. The trip is about 1 hour and 15 mins and you should take when you first arrive to give you a grounding on areas of interest and different Piazza's to shop and visit. The ticket was only 11 euros for 24 hours. You can get on and off, but with the small bus you are guaranteed a seat, so hopping on and off is not as easy as they need to make sure guests that signed up for later times have a seat as well. There are times for the small bus and times for the larger bus which enables you to pop on and off. Highly recommend this tour. It set us up for the rest of the day on what we wanted to visit.

This is one of the best Hop-on, hop-off bus tours I've taken. It goes all through Trieste and points out many, many points of interest. The English recorded guide was excellent. My wife's Italian recorded guide was excellent. The price is one of the least expensive that we've found - 11 Euros per adult. It takes about 1-1/2 hours. The bus is not a standard Hop-On, Hop-off double-decker but rather a standard touring coach, which was very comfortable. I highly recommend this sight-seeing tour.

New busses but no ramps for wheelchairs - so no access for any disabled people or people that have trouble with high stairs- very annoying!!!!!!

This hop on hop off tour is one of the best we have been on in the world. Maybe because Trieste is such a lovely place. Bright blue sky clear air and sparkling water. It appears to be a much cared for place by the locals. If you are in this part of the world do go to Trieste it's fabulous.

This small hop-on-hop-off bus is definetely the best way to experience Trieste. The size of the bus makes the roundtrip access even the narrowest streets in the City.

Well worth the trip just sit back and be driven all around town and down the coast beautiful coastline. Beautiful town.

The tour takes about 70 minutes and with 12 stops in the most interesting parts of the city. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good possibility to go to castle Miramare. During weekdays there are only 5 roundtrips a day, which means that a stop lasts about two hours. More flexibility would be great.

Good value and if the weather is bad you have an 80 minutes tour. Cost today £11 each... I don't know if it changes during year. Good audio via earphones. Today has seen thunder and lightning.... But we saw Trieste which made a good day.

This tour provides a thorough overview of the sites and history of Trieste. Unlike some of the larger hop on/hop off bus tours, this is a very comfortable and civilized way to see and visit all the important areas of Trieste. The 24 hour window with the purchase of a ticket allows you to get off where you want and when you want, and get back on without feeling rushed. The guides are very professional and friendly, and the audio narrative very informative. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone who visits the lovely city of Trieste!

This is not a typical hop on and off operation. The busses are small with seating for 25. If you get off you’ll have an hour wait until the next bus comes by. We attempted to get on the 2 pm bus and it was full so we eventually got on the 3 pm and it was full. Others were turned away. We didn’t dare “hop off”! This is really a tour that is guided by a recorded narration. And it’s 11 euros. I’ve been on better hop on hop off tours, but this one is ok for a general overview of Trieste.

as a creator of audio guides and historian I was pleasantly surprised at the level of information received about the city's complicated history. Great hostess Eva from Lettonia and driver Giuseppe. If we had not taken the tour we would not have seen Barcola beach and pineta nor the majestic San Giusto castle on the hill. Top votes for Hoptour, Trieste. The small bus can get in and out of tiny roads .

Very enjoyable and reasonably priced tour. Definitely hits all important areas of Trieste. Excellent narrative. Very personable guide who insured that all important sites were viewed. An outstanding way to see the city. Have been on many hop on/hop off tours. This is one of the best and the air conditioned bus with WiFi is extremely comfortable.

A very good organized tour of Trieste with the possibility to hop of at places where you want to visit longer, and hop on the next round of the bus, such as 6 and 10. The walk to the Miramar is too long when it is hot like today. It would be advisable to bring stop 10 a little bit closer to the Miramar. Enjoyd the tour very much!
