Following your guided tour starting from the vineyards and cellars, you will later have a wonderful tasting of different varieties of fine wines, including the Nobile di Montepulciano wine. The noble Montepulciano wine is produced from a Sangiovese clone known as Prugnolo Gentile. The wine tasting will be accompanied by different local specialties such as cold cuts, hams, cheeses, oil and bruschetta specialties, the typical "Vin Santo" sweet wine with the famous "cantucci". The wine was prized in the seventeenth century, thanks to the noble classes eager to receive luxury wine, and became known as the "noble" and "aristocratic" wine, hence the name. After we will visit the narrow and ancient streets of Montepulciano, the walled city of Montepulciano is perched on the high pearl of Tuscany, at 605 meters above sea level.
