What a fantastic tour! Our guide took a lot of carefully crafted time to ensure the kids were entertained. She also made them a part of the tour as much as possible, from play-fighting (gladiator contests!) to being crowned emperor. Our children were enthralled the entire time and will never forget this experience. Thank you!

Such a great tour! Francesco did a wonderful job keeping my children interested, asking them questions, listening to their questions. We learned so much more about the history and culture of the Colosseum, making the visit so much better. I would absolutely recommend!

We had an amazing private tour of Pompeii for our group of 6 adults and 4 children (ages 13, 11, 6 and 4). Our guide was so patient with our crew (especially when the younger ones were getting a bit tired and needed breaks). We enjoyed learning about the interesting details of Pompeii and our tour guide really kept us interested and engaged with the history! Definitely recommend!

Pompeii Private Tour for Families and Kids. Our group was 3 adults and a 10-year-old child. The discussion of information was interesting, child-friendly and inclusive. The pop quizzes through the tour had all of our competitive juices flowing! Pompeii is huge so it's helpful to have someone knowledgeable who can point out things including the subtle ground art that might have been missed! Thanks to the whole team.

We arranged two tours with Pinocchio during a recent trip to Italy. The first to Pompeii and the second to Herculaneum. I did a lot of research trying to find a child friendly private tour guide for myself, my husband and my ten year old son and I am so happy we went ahead with Pinocchio. I cannot recommend them enough. All communication prior to our visit was very prompt. They were also really helpful in suggesting logistics. We had the same guide during both tours and she was just fantastic. My son was so engaged and absolutely loved the quiz we were set. These sites are vast but our guide navigated us through the best route, avoiding the set route of the local tourists and in turn helped us to avoid the crowds. The guide also took us to the key areas that would be of interest to a 10 year, as well as suggesting other things we could see once our official tour was over. We are a family of four and travel extensively. Private tours are more expensive but for us it was worth it. We had a busy four days in Italy and Pinocchio helped us to see the best of these incredible sites with our son. We felt we were in very safe hands and I would absolutely use Pinocchio in the future.

A wonderful tour of Pompeii and then a visit to Vesuvius. The logistics were perfect / easy for us. The guide of Pompeii was great... He kept things interesting and interactive for our children (who normally cannot stand going to museums). A real highlight of our trip to Italy.

We decided to go with Pinocchio Tours after our close friends raved about how great they are for Family guided tours in Italy. We selected the Pompeii + Winefarm. But we adapted it to go to Herculaneum instead of Pompeii. The team adapted the tour. They met us at the Train station in Naples and dropped us off after our lunch on a Mount Vesuvius winery. Our tour guide was amazing with our Twins (4yo) and Herculeneum was just the right size and duration for the attention span of the kids. It was magical and the story telling from our Guide Maria was just perfect. Amazing. Bravo! Finally, our Driver was great. Our kids can get motion sickness if the driving is aggressive. Kids did great. Even because we were early, took us by Pompeii to peek into the entrance and stop at a cafe down the street.

This is te second time we use Pinocchio Tours and they were more than amazing! My kids love Percy Jackson and this tour was very fun. We really enjoyed the Capitoline museum , so much to see. We loved the guide, 100% recommended!

Donato was so great with the kids (and adults)! He was incredibly knowledgeable and had a plan for how to keep the kids engaged. He was very fun and patient. Highly recommend.

We missed our original tour (our fault) but the company took the effort to find an extra tour for us on short notice. We got Donato, who was fabulous and engaging with our 9 year old and kept her going despite the afternoon heat and us having arrived from the other side of the world the previous day. We can’t speak highly enough about Donato; very friendly and accomodating, and his knowledge was truly befitting that of his archeology background.

We had a fantastic time visiting the Vatican on this tour with our guide Donato. He kept our 7yo entertained with a fun art scavenger hunt while educating us all about the art history and answering our questions. I'd recommend this tour to any families looking to learn and have fun while visiting a must beautiful location.

We had the most amazing tour in Pisa with Pinocchio Tours. Maria Ilaria was our guide and she was wonderful. We learned so much and she was great at engaging with our kids (7 and 9). The driver was perfect too!
