    What to Expect
Avoid the stress of the long lines by simply purchasing your skip- the -line ticket in advance and look for our office located close to the Vatican Museum entrance.

Wander at your own pace around the famous galleries such as the Pinacoteca if you would rather admire paintings  from the 13th century to the 19th century or choose another route that will lead you to rooms containing ancient roman statues and sarcophagi such as the Chiaramonti museum or the Braccio nuovo.

Visit the most popular sites including the Belvedere courtyard, the  Greek cross Room, the Gallery of the maps frescoed by the end of the 16th century, the gallery of the Tapestries and the Raphael’s rooms to admire the technique of the renaissance artist.

Head toward the Sistine Chapel, where the elections of popes are held, famous for the so called "conclave" and for the frescoes by the Genius of Michelangelo it contains.

In case you prefer to upgrade to a guided group tour and explore the Vatican with one of our expert guides, you can select the tour option when booking and you will have a great experience visiting the highlights of the Vatican Museums, the Sistine chapel and the St’ Peter’s Basilica. This 3-hour group tour will impress you with the details about each gallery and you will learn more about the history of the Vatican and the popes in general.

Remember that your skip -the line - ticket is valid until the Vatican Museum closes at 6 pm.

    Additional Info
    • Confirmation will be received at time of booking
    • Not wheelchair accessible
    • Please note: Raphael Rooms are available only for the first 8:30 morning tour.
    • On Wednesdays departure there is the possibility that you will be unable to include St Peter’s Basilica. This is due to the weekly Papal Audience during which access to St. Peter’s Basilica could be closed. As an alternative you will be offered an extended itinerary within the Vatican Museums, which still includes the Sistine Chapel and the Raphael’s Rooms. It is important that you come to the meeting point at least 15 minutes prior to departure time. We are unable to accommodate other entrance times. Anyone who arrives late cannot be accommodated. We cannot predict when individual museums will be crowded. In general, long lines are common at major attractions in summer, on most weekends and during peak travel periods throughout the year (Christmas, Easter and local holidays). Our skip the line tickets enables you to skip the line indeed if there is one. Unfortunately there is no way to foresee which days and times will produce lines and which will not. On rare occasions Saint Peter’s Basilica closes without notice. When this happens, we will spend 3 hours touring the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel. The tour guides aim to notify the guests if St. Peter’s Basilica unexpectedly closes upon commencement of the tour. It is beyond our control therefore no refunds or discounts will be issued.
    • Please be informed that the Vatican Museums provide wheelchair free of charge in the main lobby. You can easily pick one up upon entering, before starting your own independent visit.
    • Please note also that - the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica maintains a strict dress code year-round. All visitors must have their shoulders covered and pants/skirts must come to the knee. Please wear comfortable shoes.
    • If you are looking for a tour with wheelchair access you can choose our private wheelchair accessible tour so our guide can lead you through an alternate route.
    • Backpacks, tripods and big umbrellas must be left inside the cloakroom upon entering Vatican Museum. To reduce any disruption for your group, we recommend that backpacks are not taken on this tour.
    • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 25 travelers
    Cancellation Policy

Be very careful - lots of scammers right around the Vatican! We went to the wrong spot and had to be put on a different (later) tour that was actually much better and less crowded! Esmeragda was amazing as our tourguide! La Pieta is breathtaking.

Loved the Vatican and Sistine Chapel and do think Skip the Line ticket was worth the extra $$...but don't pay the extra for a guide. Our guide, Maria, was not well educated in biblical knowledge, symbolism and art history. If you desire a proper guide,...More

Well organised, adequate time, saw so much! The Pieta was definitely the highlight, followed by the Sistine Chapel.

We didn’t realise we had only booked skip the line but in the end we were glad as we could go at our own pace as the museum was so packed. It would’ve taken 3hours otherwise in that hot environment. Wasn’t very well organised at...More

I think there are elevators. The chapel was closed the day we were there, so I can't speak to that, but you could have a stroller in the museum. It's not going to be easy though. As the other traveler mentioned, there are... More
