My friend and I were lucky enough to have the tasting to ourselves. Our Somalia was very knowledgeable and friendly, and the Enoteca and wine was lovely. The only complaint was that we expected a bit more... we both had a few slices of meat and cheese and were done within an hour. Perhaps this was our mistake but don’t expect more than a “taste” with this experience

Massive Highlight of our trip to Rome!

Luca is brilliant!
We prearranged this wine tasting and it was easily one of the best things we did during our three day trip to Rome.
Venue is traditional and atmospheric. Luca is a really likeable character and full of knowledge. He made us feel at home and the time we spent with him was diamond. His knowledge on wine and pairings is amazing and his ability to share this knowledge and explain it to novices is next level. We had an amazing session. 3 wines; white, rose and red. All were great and we also had cheese and meets to go alongside. We came away seeing our wine drinking in a fresh way and we would recommend booking time with Luca whole heartedly.

Good Italian Wines and Cheeses and Prociutto

Tasking took place in a restaurant close to the Colloseum. Fairly easy to find the restaurant. We tasted four or five different types wines, all pretty good. The presenter was well versed in Italian vines and was very knowgeable.
This tasking took place in November 2019 and there was only one other couple for this tasking so really got lot of information and individual attention.

Incredible experience

It was just myself and my girlfriend at the tasting with the guide. She was very nice and taught us so much about the wines. The wine themselves were amazing - some of the best i've tried. Following that, she taught us what types of cheeses and meats to pair it with, just adding to the delicious experience. The restaurant itself was in an easy location and the interior was cosy and inviting. Would recommend to any wine and food lover visiting Rome.

Wonderful Experience - a must do!

This trip to Rome was for our 25th wedding anniversary. Our daughters chose this wine and cheese tasting for us, and it was just fantastic. Here's the thing - Rome is crowded and busy, but when we stepped inside the cool restaurant, and escorted to the table, we instantly knew we would have a fun relaxing time. There was only one other couple on this date, plus Luca. We were given three glasses of unusual single grape wines, and Luca proceeded to educate us on Italian wines, and food pairings. Luca is charming and interesting to listen to. I ended up buying a bottle of one of the varieties - a white wine - even though i normally don't care much for white wines!

Both my husband and I enjoyed learning, I know a bit about wines, and my husband knew nothing. So I would think anyone at any level of wine knowledge would love this event. We enjoyed meeting the other couple too, ended up having drinks with them on another evening!

If we return to Rome, we would sign up again for Luca's wine tasting event. Highly recommended!

Great low key activity!

This happened to be our very first Italian activity in Rome which was an awesome introduction to the city, people, food & wine!! Luca was a phenomenal host. He was so knowledgeable about the Italian wine culture, not just Rome. He was truly a pleasure to discuss wine with so humble even though his knowledge and pallet superseded the groups by far. My husband who is not an avid wine drinker had a blast and I was honestly worried walking in this would be a tortuous hour for him. Thankfully the wine bar, Luca & the tasting exceeding every expectation we had. I would recommend this for a low key pre-dinner activity (what we did) or even a time filler on a first or last day/night in the city.

Informative and authentic wine experience

I’ve had many wine tasting experiences and can highly recommend Luka’s wine tasting hour. He is very passionate on sharing his expansive knowledge of wine. One hour was sufficient time to cover wines from the area. Book in advance. Enjoy!

Friendly and interactive Wine tasting

Our sommelier was Luca and he was welcoming and friendly throughout, both by being enthusiastic about the wine and happy to stop and answer any questions we had. We were sat with a lovely Brazilian couple and we all had an equally great time learning more about the local Italian wines.
