Overview
Explore Vatican City, with time-saving skip-the-line access, in the company of a guide. Visit the Vatican Museums (admission ticket price not included), the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica in a single, half-day walking tour. Get insider info on these must-see Rome attractions through your guide’s commentary, guaranteed to reveal little-known facts.
What to Expect
Choose a start time that fits your schedule, and then meet your guide outside the entrance to the Vatican Museums. Skip waiting in the often-long lines for tickets and pay your guide directly for admission (not included in tour price).

Step inside and begin your tour. Your guide will narrate an orientation and give in-depth commentary on the highlights of the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel as you walk.

Explore Raphael’s Rooms, and hear stories behind works such as the School of Athens, a piece that features images of Michelangelo and Raphael. Pass through halls such as the Gallery of the Masks and Gallery of the Maps. Then, make your way into the Sistine Chapel. A sacred spot and the private papal chapel, the Sistine Chapel is also renowned for its Michelangelo frescoes—The Last Judgement and The Creation of Adam.

Continue to St. Peter’s Basilica, where you'll see Michelangelo’s famous La Pietà. Before wrapping up your tour outside the church, take a moment to rub the foot of the statue of St. Peter for luck.

Opt to upgrade your experience with a before-hours, small-group tour or an after-hours tour (St. Peter's Basilica not included), when the premises are closed to the public.

Waste of money

Worth it for the skip the line!

Having heard how busy this particular part of Rome can be, we booked the ‘skip the line’ tour directly through the Vatican website. This was money well spent, as our tour guide was able to manoeuvre us through the swathes of people waiting to get...More

There was no line skipping!!! We arrived at the tour office at 8:10 for an 8:30 tour. We waited in line in the Pouring rain for approximately 2hours and 30 mins before we actually entered the building to process through security. During our wait in...More

It cost us €48 for 2 people for the entrance fees. We met at the tour office but maybe it changes at different times of the year.

We actually booked a tour that included the museum entry. You'll notice a price difference - the more expensive ones include the price of the museums. Watch for those that don't say "Does not include price of museum entries"
