Stunning views, brilliantly organised and we had the best host Luigi!
We had a fantastic day for our boat trip, the whole thing is organised by MBS who sorted out the boats, route and transport of buses for the island of Capri. We were assigned Luigi as our guide who was amazing, he was so knowledgable of the island, the history and was really entertaining making sure we were all attended to providing us drinks for the trip. The blue grotto unfortunately wasn’t open that day due to the high tide but Luigi and the Captain made sure to take us to another grotto cave that allowed us to swim into and had the same effect with beautiful blue waters and sun cove. Would definitely recommend as the price is reasonable for a full packed day with easy instructions of where to meet and what to bring and also reminders before the day. Thank you and Luigi - you’re amazing!

Amazing Day At Sea W/ The Master Captain - Flavio
What else can I say but this: FLAVIO is The ultimate Captain / Capri Guide. From the moment Flavio greeted us in the morning, my girlfriend and sister and I (as well as the rest of our small group of 12 or so people, knew we were in expert hands. Flavio was personable, hospitable, incredibly knowledgable, a clear communicator, and EAGER to tailor or "program" as he called it, a trip personalized to our group's interests. On June 8th, 2024, we had a pristine day on theTyrrhenian Sea, disembarking from Sorrento to head to Capri. - We chose to go to the Blue Grotto early as a group to ensure we did not have to wait or miss our window, even though Flavio offered us the option to go later in the day when the color of the Grotto is at its apex. - He expertly outlined the history of Tiberius and the history of Capri and other fun facts about celebrities and the G7 and real estate pricing as we explored various other grottos / Capri Town / Anacapri and marinas. - He explained to us numerous options we could take once we got on land for three hours by ourselves...from Monte Solara and the lift to shopping to several popular seafood restaurants around the island. - One of the best parts of the day was swimming after lunch and snorkeling with the fish in the green-blue waters...we all really enjoyed this experience...at this time he served us fresh fruit and drinks and gave us noodles to easily float in the sea. (I also had the humorous good-luck experience of having a giant seagull drop a giant crap-bomb on my back while on the boat, so I decided to dive off the rail of the bow (which he said we could do) which was a lot of fun, and a great way to cleanse myself of bird-feces! - All around Flavio was a great dude and we will definitely be booking him for a PRIVATE excursion next time we return (if we can). Thanks Flavio, what a wonderful day. Charlie Cy

A must do on the Amalfi Coast!!!
Ericho and Alessandro were amazing hosts! Alessandro was very knowledgeable of the coast and made sure to make sure everyone had refreshments throughout the trip. The swim stop was our absolute favorite and the stops in Amalfi and Positano were the perfect amount of time.

The best views of the Amalfi cost are from this small boat tour
Excellent tour, must do. Driver was great, professional, knowledgeable. Small boat tour gives one more privacy and room and greater access to the boat and best picture taking. Avoid the crowds. Only one comment that it would be good to have at least 2 hours in each Positano and Amalfi to visit the towns. This though may extend the trip to past 8 hrs, but would be great to consider.

      Positano/Capri Tour exceeded our expectations!
Our tour met and exceeded our expectations. Vincenzo and Elena were the perfect hosts who made the trip most memorable! They provided drinks and snacks and made sure we had everything we needed. They were very flexible with our tour and gave us much time to swim, visit capri and brought us to a fabulous lunch by the sea. We all very much enjoyed our conversations and will cherish the memories to last a lifetime!

      Great coastline with swim stop
The trip was brought forward a day due to the weather which luckily we could do. Lots of great sights along the coastline. Free time in Amalfi and in Positano which was great to get a bite to eat. The drinks on board were much appreciated. The only thing lacking for us was more details of what we were seeing / passing apart from that a very enjoyable trip

Beautiful scenery, fun atmosphere, and a highlight of our trip!
The boat trip to Capri from Sorrento was great. The scenery is beautiful, the 3 hours walking in Capri were very nice (lots of high-end shops and places to have a meal), and swimming next to our boat after was a highlight. Agatha and our Captain made the day extra special, serving drinks and explaining the landscape. Unfortunately the Blue Grotto was closed due to high water levels but we still had a great day. I highly recommend this excursion and you do not need to overspend by booking a private boat. We were a family of four and paired with four other strangers, and it felt like our own private boat. Finally notes: Bring your own towels or else you’ll have to overpay at a shop near the dock. And TIP your crew. They work hard and this was truly a highlight of our trip.

      A Charter Worth Every Penny
MBS is amazing! I took a private boat with them in 2017 so I looked into using them again for this trip and I'm so glad I did. I did contact other companies to inquire on pricing and availability and hands down, MBS was the most responsive and thorough answering all of my many questions through the whole process. I felt confident booking with them again but I felt even more confident the more they continued to be very responsive and thorough to answer all of my questions through the day of our charter. We booked a private charted to take us (and luggage) from Sorrento to Praiano with a stop in Capri. They offered a fair price and it was worth every penny. The day before our charter, we received a reminder of exact directions. The day of the charter, Sebastiano and Pasquale were fantastic! Turns out Sebastiano was a captain on our 2017 charter. They were very flexible and extremely helpful all day making sure water taxis were arranged, photos were taken, prosecco was poured, and that we had a fantastic time on the boat! It was truly a day at leisure on the sea. I would absolutely recommend them to everyone and will use them again.

Simply superb! It was my wife’s birthday and these guys made it very special! From the start to finish, they were engaging, fun and friendly. It was an uncle and nephew team who were first class (I didn’t remember their names but it was the 18th May and a 50th birthday in the name of Thomas so please pass on out thanks again). We went to capri and the blue grotto which were amazing but it was much more than that. They took time to go around the capri coast line taking us in and out of different costal cliff areas and explaining each part of it. We stopped off for a swim, provided refreshments and some food, then off it Capri to explore for about 3 hours. They even let my wife steer the boat as a birthday treat whilst everyone sang happy birthday to her. Blue grotto was amazing and a must do (even thought it looks a bit scary, the guys who run it are experts, so it’s perfectly safe). The guy who took us in also sung happy birthday and serenaded our group in Italian. Absolutely brilliant and highly entertaining tour, highlight of our holidays

We would highly recommend this trip to any one who wants to experience a private charter tour. We had reached last minute and yet they were kind enough to accommodate us on their Santa Maria boat!
From meeting up point to the boat Francesca who was our guide and host took us. There we were introduced to Gian Luca our captain. They both were kind and knowledgeable to show us around the places as well as answer all our questions. The spots for swimming, to the blue grotto tour everything fell right in place. One thing I liked the most is their understanding of how quick the line for the grotto gets busy. In order for the best experience for their guests they ensured we reached there as soon as possible in the morning so that we have the priority to enjoy the grotto tour.

If you are still thinking if you should be taking a tour with them or not, just TAKE IT!! It is a must and you should definitely take their tours!!

A fantastic tour. Ours set off early (8am) from Sorrento so we arrived at the blue grotto early before the row boats arrived so we didn't have to queue, in fact we were first in of the day.
The tour around Capri was well described by Ferdinando our guide, with lots of information.
We had a couple of hours to explore Capri and our guide pointed the way to the bus and taxi area and recommend a couple of places to see.
We than had lunch on the boat and pulled into a bay to swim. The sea was so blue and inviting.
We continued on around the island through the big natural arch and into a couple of other grottos.
Our captain was very skilled and kept out of the wash of other boats so the ride was smooth and gentle.
Highly recommend and with only a dozen on the boat there was plenty of room.
Ferdinando and the captain were a great double act and we had great fun.

Wouldn't recommend this tour for the price we paid, we have had better tours at a lower rate. Your odds of entering the blue grotto is 50/50 depending on the weather. We had "tour guide" Alessandro treated this tour like his own party boat. Blasting the music to deafening levels, we requested for the music to be turned down on multiple occasions. He initially made efforts to turn down the music but towards the end he kept blasting his playlist (poor taste music) on repeat. We were seated next to the speakers as there were no other seats on top of the boat and when we requested him to turn down the music again his response was "why are you sitting next to the speakers" and "you are on the wrong boat". When we arrived in Capri 45 mins early due to missing out on the Blue Grotto he dropped us off in Capri and provided us with unhelpful instructions on catching Capri's public transport to Ani Capri, leading the rest of us tour guests baffled and confused waiting at a bus stop not knowing if transport would arrive. The "tour guide" could have spent the time to bring us all to the bus stop. The tour guide should have enabled us to spend more time exploring Capri due to skipping the Blue grotto. Upon returning back to the boat we became lost and contacted him to request for some assistance. On the phone call his response was "just meet me where I told you at the small marina" despite us explaining that we were lost. Obviously if we knew where small Marina was we wouldn't have called him. The only positive thing about this tour was that the boat was new.

Check in was a little hectic as they originally could not find my party of 3 on their lists, but they eventually worked it out after 10 min. They have multiple small boats that hold about 12 ppl each and we were lucky to have Capt Luigi and his first mate Erika for our day trip to Capri. The boats race to the Blue Grotto to get us in "line" on the water as quickly as possible. You wait for the canoes to come and get you then they have you pay your 18euro entrance fee and you get to spend 5 min in the grotto.
Then back in the boat and you get dropped off at Marina Piccolo in Anacapri and have 3 hours to do whatever you want. We chose to do the chairlift to the top. Had time for a little food, brief shopping then back on the boat. When you are back on the boat they sail you around the island, seeing the gorgeous views and then they stop for a Mediterranean swim! They make sure to show you more caves, a waterfall, give you water, Peroni , lemon soda, and Prosecco towards the end. Erika spoke perfect English and explained everything. On the way back to Sorrento they sail close to the Sorrento coast to show you even more landmarks. Overall a wonderful day exploring Capri by water!

This was our favourite day so far! We got to the blue grotto early but as the sea was really choppy it looked like we wouldn’t be able to enter as it’s through a very small cave where row boats take you through. Luckily our tour guide Flavio was brilliant and kept checking the website, and as soon as it opened we sailed over and managed to get in. You get about 5 minutes in the cave from the boat. It does get quite busy in there which can spoil the atmosphere as there were too many boats around as we were leaving, so I was glad we were near the front of the queue. You do have to pay €15pp to get into the cave and the person rowing our boat also tried to demand a tip but other boats didn’t so I think he was just a bit off.

We had two opportunities to stop and swim and floats were provided. The atmosphere on the boat was really nice and we could help ourselves to a fridge of beer, wine and soft drinks.

The sandwich provided was lovely - we ate it whilst strolling round Capri. The free time in Capri is just enough to have a quick look at some of the shopping area and we did the Augustus Gardens too. Wouldn’t recommend climbing the stairs like we did as we were struggling by the end! There’s a lift somewhere so take that instead - or apparently you can get a cab for €2 from the port.

The tour of the island from the boat was really interesting and our tour guide gave lots of historical information which brought the landscape to life. He gave us loads of recommendations too which came in handy.

    Overall a great day!

A great day out with great swims in the sea and an overall good vibe on the boat!

Sceneries are breathtaking and the water is just so blue it's magical. Even had a little snorkeling moment.

Just bear in mind 2 things:
    1. the Blue Grotto can get very busy and feel like a tourist trap, even our guide on the boat was very much like "if it was just me we wouldn't even stop there and waste time"
    2. once docked on Capri, the town is inside the land so you'll need a short bus ride that seemed very busy. We decided to spend our couple hours enjoying the sea by the beach and ended up not regretting it based on the feedback of our boat companions

But overall a very fun day.

Overall we had a great trip to Capri on the boat which included a trip round the island, stop off for swimming and free time on the island as well.

The boat itself was spacious, had WC facilities and variety of cold drinks on board which were all included in the price.

We had a group of 12 onboard which was perfect to get some great photos and videos and not feel totally cramped and overwhelmed.

What really made the trip special though was our skipper Francesco. His knowledge of the island was excellent, he knew all of the best places to stop for swimming and managed to get us to the front of queue for the blue grotto.

We stopped by the blue grotto early, but unfortunately it was not open at that time due to the high tide. However, Francesco took us a different route around Capri than the other boats meaning we would have a second chance to enter which we fortunately managed to.

He was very accommodating with drinks and fresh fruit, had snorkelling equipment and food for the fish so we got a great experience as they all swam to the surface for us to see.

Also, his boat driving skills were totally epic! We always felt safe and comfortable even in the tightest of squeezes.

We left around 8:00 and we were back at marina piccolo by 16:30.

Thank you so much, highly recommend this trip to all!

Erica and Luigi made our trip amazing, both were fantastic hosts and made sure we got to do and experience everything despite the tour warning us about the choppy sea due to high winds and offering us the chance to cancel as they weren't sure we would be able to leave the coast of Sorrento.

We took a risk as we thought it would be nice to be on a boat anyway rather than rearrange to something else and that risk paid off a thousand fold.

The tour is fantastic, the start was a bit hectic as people were cancelling and having to be explained the risk so we did a lot of waiting and the company offers multiple boat tours on the same day so you wait with a huge group of people even though your group will be small.

After that it went a lot better, Luigi our boat driver made sure we experienced everything, the white grotto, the blue grotto Capri, the lovers arch a cave with a heart in it and even swimming at the end.

The seas were sometimes quite rough due to the wind and I got very wet and salty 😂 but it was all part of the fun and Erica did an amazing job of shouting over the high wind and waves to tell us what we could see and provide us drinks

Here's a good tip, try to sit at the back of the boat. I'm sure the front is amazing but they always make sure you can get pictures at the back also.

If you sit at the back you will have more interaction with your guide, he she will be able to more easily offer to take photos with you etc.

It's the best spot if you don't mind getting waves in your face

If you’re interested in a day out on the water while being able to visit Capri, look no further as this trip is for you. Starting with a nice ride out to the island, our tour guide Dario took us straight to the blue grotto so we were first in line when it opened at 9:00. For €14 you can enter the blue grotto on tiny little row boats operated by a guide. It’s a quick look inside and then back out, but was a cool experience. Then we were back on our boat for a tour around the shoreline seeing the spectacular cliff-sides and clear waters. Plentiful insta-worthy photo ops! We docked at Marina Piccolo where we were able to go on shore for 3 hours. Enjoy the city square for shopping, have lunch, hike to the top of Capri, or go on the chair lift. I’d recommend getting a pair of custom sandals made! Then we met back at the boat and took us to a swimming spot where we could swim and hang out for an hour or so before heading back to port in Sorrento. Overall it was a great day out on the water and a good way to get to/from Capri. Highly recommend!!
