Russafa has been a neighborhood linked to the history of Valencia, from its origin as a recreational village of the Muslim governor, to the place where Jaume I set up his camp before reconquering the city. It was an independent district of Valencia until 1877, at which time it became a neighborhood in the city. Russafa is now known as the "Soho Valenciano", in full cultural effervescence. We will walk its streets and we will know the identity and history of this neighborhood so ours, discovering the peculiarities of this particular neighborhood of our city. With monuments as significant as the Church of San Valero, the convent of Our Lady of the Angels, The Schools of Craftsmen, where they studied distinguished students such as Joaquín Sorolla, or the Ruzafa Market building that defines the heart of this picturesque neighborhood.
