Paul is a wonderful host, outstanding presenter and gifted guide. We learnt a lot and thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Paul was one of the true highlights on our six week stay in Spain. He went out of his way to engage, entertain and educate our 13 year old son and 11 year old daughter. They learnt and laughed a lot and have not stopping talking about Paul. It was one of the most engaging tours we have experienced and recommend it without hesitation. The only downside every tour since has been a little disappointing in comparison to our experience with Paul in Madrid. Paul, thank you again for a wonderful experience and kind regards. Brett and family from Sydney.

Amazing tour from Paul. Whenever the tour guide makes the audience laugh right off the bat then they listen to him more and more interested in hearing about Madrid. Since it was Oscar season, he definitely deserved an Oscar on how he captivated many stories of Madrid into a walking tour with his astonishing acting/ performance. I loved how he made the tour very interactive and quizzed us. It’s very rare to have a tour guide that makes the tour interactive. He’s also very approachable if you have any questions or comments. Close to the end of the tour some of us got caught by sprinklers very lightly (not planned at all) just about when he was talking about the pope blessing the cathedral near the palace so extra points for adding the 4d effect as if the pope was there with holy water :)

I'm from Madrid and me and my boyfriend took this free tour so that I could show him around my city and teach him some of the history of Madrid. Our guide, Javier, was a fantastic tour guide: funny and charming whilst being informative and kept us engaged for a whole 2.5h despite the hot sun, the crowds and the fact that we were a pretty large group. I've done a fair few free tours before, and this by far has been one of my favourites (bonus point I even learnt things from my city I didn't know about!)
I will definitely recommend Tourstilla if you're thinking of doing a free tour in Madrid!

This was one of the best tours ever! The tour guide Melissa is an absolute rock star; She had a really big group but managed it very well, speaking clearly and providing the complex history of old Madrid while showing the relevant sightseeing. The best part is that she did this in a fun way with many great jokes and bits. Her delivery was incredible and added a lot to the understanding of the tour. If you visit Madrid, I highly recommend you take this historic tour, especially with tour guide Melissa :)

Javier's tour was incredible! He shared great details about the amazing history of Madrid while still making it very interesting for the entire crowd. Javier's tours really go above and beyond, it's very clear how much he cares about the city, its history, and most importantly sharing all that with you. I can't recommend these tours enough, they are immersive, entertaining, and knowledgeable.

Melisia was our tourguide and told us enthousiastic about the history of Madrid. In 2.5 hour walk she combined historical facts with funny facts which made the tour easy to understand and enjoyable. When necessary she could improvise, due to sound of the surrounding or other guides talking. Unfortunately not enough time to do her other guided tour of modern Madrid. Highly recommend Melisia and supporting her to be the first Mexican girl who lives in the royal Palace. ;)

5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️’s!!!! My husband and I recently joined the free walking tour in Madrid, and it was an unforgettable experience! Our tour guide Idan, was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the city's history and culture. We explored iconic landmarks like the Royal Palace, Puerta del Sol, and Plaza Mayor, all while learning fascinating stories and fun facts. The pace of the tour was perfect, allowing us to take in the sights without feeling rushed and out your guide Idan was funny and provided some great local tips for eating and exploring more of the Spanish culture!I especially appreciated the insider tips on the best places to eat and visit. This tour was a fantastic introduction to Madrid, and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to discover the city in an engaging and informative way. Thank you for an amazing experience, Idan! 🙏🏽😊

She ( Rocio) was a great guide before everything and she was also knowing how to keep up with the kids , more than 2 hours with 2 kids (6-10) we have spent great time, learnt great history of Madrid , saw a lots of important spots in Madrid. Before start visiting specific locations I recommend to join free tour and get the insides of Madrid then plan your trip accordingly. Thank you once more !

First of all, as an American, I have traveled to 10+ countries and many US states with a plethora of tours. I would give this tour in March of 2024 6 stars if possible. Paul was a beyond exceptional tour guide who took tour guiding to the next level. His ability to bring people together, connect with a global audience, and explain history in fast-paced tour that is memorable remains unique. Auba, our tour guide was excellent! She was well organized, friendly, enthusiastic, and extremely knowledgeable about all points of interest and history relating to the walk in central Madrid. She related to the group in a manner that kept the members engaged and stimulated. One of the best walking tours that I have ever taken, I strongly recommend it for any first-time visitor to Madrid.
