- 382PeterL3820 contributionsGirona GoT tourTour was excellent , Pau did a great job providing information with interesting facts on the locations and behind the scenes explanation about the filming . Great tour for GoT fans but included history of Girona and the old townWritten 19 September 2024
- JowJane0 contributionsExceptional tourWe were met by Mike, the most enjoyable, entertaining and incredibly intelligent, knowledgeable guide. We learned so much from him about the Jewish experience though out the history of Girona and about the Catalonian identity and much moreWritten 17 September 2024
- maryjane460 contributionsExcellent TourMy friend and i from the Uk,did this tour on Day 2 of our break to Girona ,on 16/09/24. Our tour guide Mike was excellent. He is extremely knowledgeable about Girona's history and has a fabulous sense of humour. The tour was 3hrs and covered the main sights in the old town. The time flew by. Mike was happy to answer any questions. I would reccomend this tour.Written 17 September 2024
- 553angellp0 contributionsOur guide Pau was fantastic! Our GOT tour was spectacular. Pau, our guide, was very patient and knowledgeable. He showed us pictures and videos of the scenes and the locations where it happened.Written 17 September 2024
- TheFlyingBuffalo0 contributionsGreat introduction to Girona and the rich historyHad a great tour with Mike. He was personable and extremely knowledgeable. Our three hour tour went by quickly and was packed with history, stories and some fun. Fortunately everyone in our group was fairly fit so we could all go the same pace. Lots of stairs and moderate climbing on this walk. Take your camera and some water.Written 13 September 2024
- betsyr4720 contributionsExcellent Jewish history tours of Girona and Besalu. Our tour guide was Mike, and he was a wealth of knowledge, and so much fun. Half way through the tour we stopped for lunch. Mike’s suggestions for restaurants was excellent. Regarding the tour itself, learning about the 1,000 year history and extensive contributions of the Jewish people in Girona and Besalu was eye-opening. It was disturbing to learn of the persecution and ghettoization of the Jewish people through the centuries, in spite of the fact that they were financial advisors and physicians to the elite of Spanish society. Particularly moving was the beauty of these two Medieval cities. Walking the narrow, winding streets was like being in a Time Machine. Our guide filled us in on the religious history of the cities, both Christian and Jewish. We saw where the synagogues used to be, and at the end of the tour, we visited the Jewish History museum of Girona. Fascinating! Our guide’s breadth of information was breathtaking. Suggestions: Bring good walking shoes!Written 13 September 2024
- KingRoute660 contributionsDali, Cadaqués & Cap de CruzPeter was our tour guide and Alex our driver, we were lucky enough to have the tour to ourselves, Peter was so informative and knowledgeable and we learnt so much during the course of the day. All delivered with interest and good humour. We couldn’t recommend more highly. Alex was also a superb driver throughout the day. Book now!Written 9 September 2024
- BobofSM0 contributionsWonderful GIRONA Jewish Quarter and Jewish History Museum TourOur guide, Ona, was terrific. The tour included much of the Old City in addition to the Jewish Quarter. I had wondered, in advance, why we would want a tour guide to take us through the Jewish Museum when we could read the explanations accompanying the exhibits on our own. I was wrong. Ona’s extensive knowledge of Jewish history and the stories behind the exhibits made the experience far more interesting and informative than it would have been without her. Similarly, her stories about the Jewish Quarter brought it to life in a way we couldn’t have experienced on our own.Written 9 September 2024
- neonl1570 contributionsBeautiful tour with a very knowledgeable and charming guide! Highly recommendMy partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Miguel, who impressed us with his huge wealth of knowledge and love of his city! He is (in his own words) both a history and Game of Thrones nerd, and it really shows as he easily answered every question that was fired at him, no matter the subject. I would highly recommend this tour for Game of Thrones fans and non-fans alike. We got hundreds of photos, I wish I could post them all 😬Written 8 September 2024
- Wendy D0 contributionsHighly recommend for GoT fans!We had a brilliant guide called Miguel who we were thrilled to learn had been an extra in GoT season 6! Very knowledge and entertaining tour of all the GoT scenes in Girona with a lovely small group of people. Would highly recommend.Written 7 September 2024
- Scot11100 contributionsPerfect Day OutA great experience visiting the small picturesque medieval towns - Besalu, Santa Pau, Castellfollit De La Roca - hiking up a volcano and having a 4 course lunch, and to finish off, a short stroll along the Banyoles lake. The towns were what I was most looking forward to and they surely did not disappoint! What a stunning part of the country steeped in so much history! Our guide Pete did not stutter in telling us all about the history here, he was perfect, charismatic, funny, and very passionate about the historical and present day Catalonia! If ever we are back in Girona this company will be first choice for exploring! Save the Castle! Thanks for a great day Pete! Ailsa & ChristianWritten 6 September 2024
- TerryOAZ0 contributionsHighly recommendedA thoroughly enjoyable tour! Pete our guide was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and great company. We learned so much about Dalí and his works but also the region and its economy. Carme was also lovely patiently driving us around. The tour was professional and efficiently organized.Written 5 September 2024

He also is very funny. he was patient with all of us and pointed out many, many amazing things. It was a great tour and you would be lucky to have Miguel as your guide.Written 3 September 2024
- Erd340000 contributionsAmazing Private tour of Jewish Girona. Fascinating and well informed.Miguel gave our family including 2 teens and an 11 year old) a private tour of the Jewish history in Girona. Miguel was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging-and extremely passionate about the topic. We are pretty well informed about Jewish history and we learned a ton. Even our children were engaged. Thank you Miguel for an amazing tour!Written 1 September 2024
- Elizabeth L0 contributionsGirona GoT walking tour.We had an excellent walking tour today. Eduardo was interesting and informative. I especially liked the clips from GoT he showed on his laptop. He was kind enough to make contact the day before and that made contact on the day really easy.Written 31 August 2024

Fantastic experience! We were picked up promptly from our hotel and enjoyed comfortable transportation throughout the trip in a convenient minivan. Julia, our guide, shared fascinating details about the region and Girona. The breakfast was delightful, and we savored every wine we tasted. The highlight was visiting Terra Remota winery: the architecture, equipment, scattered pieces of art, and the passionate staff made it truly exceptional. The excursion was amazing, and the wines we tried were so so good. Thanks for creating such wonderful memories for us.

Absolutely incredible half day with Marc and Carme to Empordalia and then onto the breathtaking and majestic Terra Remota where we were welcomed graciously by Joan Frei. This amazing vineyard is truly a slice of heaven and an experience that will make an incredible memory for years to come. When we return to Spain, this is definitely a "repeat" trip!

We enjoyed a fantastic half day tour of two contrasting wineries which was exactly what we were looking for as we explored the wine and food of this region. Marc and Carme were excellent hosts and guides and the wineries welcoming and open to enjoyable conversation about their wines and approaches to wine making. The brunch was a nice touch and accompanied one of the tastings. Marc took the lead as guide and was very engaging and very knowledgeable and interesting about Girona and the region. Efficient from the outset of our enquiry to booking to a very enjoyable experience on the tour.

We really appreciate your review and your kind words. In Spain we have excelent wines, but not many people know about the Emporda Wine Region since our winneries don't produce as much as Rioja or Priorat. We like to start the day with a traditional catalan breakfast, try some wines and later visit one of the most special wine cellars in Catalonia. Not many people in the world can say that have been to one of those cellars.
All the best,
Marc

I did a half day tour with Marc and Carmen to the Emporda wine region (2 wineries and can thoroughly recommend it. I had a great time, the hosts were informative and charming and the wineries were receptive with fine wines and a very tasty brunch. Expensive but worth it.

Hello Marianne!
Thank you for your review :) We are happy to know that you and your family enjoyed the wine tour with us. We like to share real and local experiences with people, just like what we do with friends and relatives when they visit the beautiful province of Girona :)
Some good local cheese, Mediterranean anxoves, good wine, beautiful landscapes... Everything sounds good!
See you soon and enjoy your time in Cadaqués :)
Best regards,
Marc

Hi,
We would like to make a reservation for a guided tour through your wine garden. But we had a question in our mind
because we now live in these strange corona times, we would like to know if it is still available to make a reservation for a guided-tour?
We had in mind to make a reservation between 16 - 25 july.
Kind regards
Wessel Rooth

Hello. We are a group of four who would like to do your wine tour Saturday July 21st. However, we arrive in Girona that morning and find 0930 to be a bit early to start, as we come from LlaFranc. Would it be possible to start later in the day? Best, Marianne
