- 1The long lines attracted by La Sagrada Familia, Antoni Gaudi’s modernist masterpiece, are a testament to its global renown. Spend less time lining up and more time sightseeing with a skip-the-line entry to the cathedral. Our small-group tour is limited to 12 people to ensure an intimate experience with your tour guide. Start your adventure to discover every corner of the UNESCO World Heritage -listed building. You will be first awed by the height of the building and its verticality, then you will admire the first of the façades and will be impressed by its uncountable details. Once inside, be amazed by the height of the vaults and the awesome stain glass. Get ready to immerse yourself in the majestic symphony of colors of the stained glass windows and stroll among tree-shaped columns. Your licensed tour guide will tell you all about the history of this project, its symbolism, and architectural solutions and share little-known anecdotes about its charismatic creator.

- 330murrayb0 contributionsBest of the best bIn all our travels this was the best excursion we have ever taken. Mostly because of our guide Brian. He was so enthusiastic, entertaining and knowledgeable. He brought the history of the region to life, the trip to the mountain and the basilica was wonderful. The museum featured tremendous art. The winery was so unique.the wines, the setting, the lunch and accommodation to our dietary needs was unsurpassed. We got great bang for our buck. We would recommend this trip without reservation.Written 6 December 2024

- Lady76Bug0 contributionsEnjoyable afternoonReally enjoyed this tour with Barcelona Local Experiences! Bruna was our guide and she was an absolute delight. Doing the combined tour is the way to go and worth the price. You could probably do both on your own but a tour is a great way to learn the history behind what you are looking at. Plus, you also get to continue to walk around Sagrada Familia after the tour ends. Highly recommend!Written 6 December 2024

- jimcash0 contributionsGreat way to experience the Tapas cuisine of Barcelona. My wife and I joined six others to visit the evening sites in the gothic neighborhood of Barcelona. We experienced four different stops with food and drink at each one. Berte was our guide and she was very entertaining and kept the whole crowd laughing. There is a moderate amount of walking but most is flat and almost no steps. I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants to sample the food and drink of Barcelona.Written 6 December 2024

From start to finish, their warmth and enthusiasm made our journey unforgettable. Both Angie and Miro went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Their passion for what they do truly shines through, and their easygoing nature made it feel like we were exploring with friends. Really annoyed. Don’t pay extra for “small groups” they just keep adding people. They’re not gonna turn down money.
Philippe was a fantastic tour guide, providing great detail on Sagrada Familia. However - we paid EXTRA to choose the “small group intimate guided tour” that was supposed to be under 15 people - but we were well over 20. The tour was fine, but just a regular tour where you were lost in the crowd. Not worth a penny extra. Everyone on the tour was not happy.

Hello,
Thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent tour with us.
We want to clarify that our small group tours are designed to have a maximum of 15 people per group. The only time when the groups might merge is during the transportation between locations; however, each group has its own guide during the tour. This is to ensure that the experience remains intimate and informative, with personalized attention from our guides.
We're pleased to hear that Philippe was a fantastic guide and provided great detail on the Sagrada Familia.
Thank you again for your feedback, we hope to welcome you soon on another adventure in Barcelona.
Best regards,
BCN Local Experiences Team

Although we toured at the end of August, it was still very busy at La Sagrada Familia, one of Barcelona's premier attractions. We were glad to have purchased a skip the line tour. Our guide arrived on time and identified himself. He was on time, but apologized for not being early - he was a replacement for a colleague who had broken his leg! Actually it was other tourists who were late, and it took about 15 minutes to corral them. Our guide was passionate and knowledgeable about Gaudi and the massive creation that is the Sagrada Familia. He used a microphone system so we could all hear him. After about an hour and a half, he said that his tour was done but that we were welcome to go back through the church at our own speed, or go to Gaudi's tomb. We lacked the time to do any of those things. We enjoyed our guides' passionate expositions concerning the church and its stories. The only thing he did not tell us was that it was possible to go up the towers, but we probably could not have afforded the time to wait in line for that experience anyway.

We paid extra for this queue because it was supposedly a small group with no queues. It was definitely not a small group and the queues were longer ahead. We just paid for insurance. It was very difficult to understand the guide half of the areas of the basilica you can’t go into if you’re in a group we ended up terminating our tour, less than halfway through. Don’t waste your money.

The Sagrada Familia was amazing, but having a local guide with us made the experience especially memorable. You could tell our guide Roberto really had a passion for what he was showing us. There is a lot of hidden symbolism in the details of the building and architecture that you would simply not notice if you didn’t have a guide pointing them out. It was fascinating to learn the history and inspiration of Gaudi and the building, which is still being built. Would highly recommend doing this tour to anyone that goes!

Hola :)
Thank you very much for your lovely feedback.
We are glad that you enjoyed the tour with our great Robert! Hope you learnt a lot about Gaudi, his life and work and will take home some lasting memories:)...
We totally agree, there is a lot of hidden symbolism in the details of the building and architecture that you would never notice if you didn’t have a guide pointing them out.

I could have imagined that the Sagrada Familia would be mind blowing but this tour went to a whole different level. You’re amazed by its height but when you go in and see the colors inside it’s just so emotional. Best thing we’ve done by far! The tour guide was fantastic, she knew everything about every part of the basilica. Definitely a must is you are in Barcelona. Book with them!

Sagrada Familia is amazing and the experience of visiting this iconic structure can be very overwhelming! There are so many places to look, things to see, and tidbits of information to learn so having an experienced guide is necessary. If possible, request Paula (pow-la). She made the experience so enjoyable! She was informative, humorous, and could answer every question thrown her way! Traveler tip…brings small bills for tipping!

Alberto provided us with a well organized tour of Sagrada Familia which is nothing short of spectacular. He was easy to understand and shared both the history of the site and many of the details/ symbolism of Gaudi's formidable achievement. This is a must see, the crowning glory his work. The light within is breathtaking and the scale is overwhelming. Thank you Alberto for your kind attention.

¡Muchas gracias, Marc! Marc was our tour guide and he was friendly, attentive, and overall an excellent guide. Nowadays there are audio recording tours too, but I enjoy more personal guided tours lead by an actual person so it was a great experience for a first timer like me.
My group had 2 couples, a family of 4 and me so was 9 in total and Marc. A good group of people to tour with, and Marc was knowledgeable and entertaining, nearly tricked us with Gauid’s death & burial… I definitely recommend this tour for those who actually want to know about the Sagrada Familia (learned plenty today) rather than purely capturing beautiful photos 😉
