Highlights
  • Immerse in Barcelona’s Jewish Quarter as you stroll the city streets by foot
  • Visit lesser-known sites and discover the city’s rich cultural heritage
  • Benefit from your private guide’s undivided attention and expertise

What to Expect
Start your tour at the center of the historic Jewish Quarter. Walk with your personal guide to the Ancient Synagogue of Barcelona, and visit the house of Rabbi Shlomo ben Aderet. Stroll by the old gates and wall, and view the former Synagogue Poca, now a church. Wander on to the historic Plaza del Rey, the site where Columbus supposedly announced his “discovery” of a New World, and as you stroll, notice the many Hebrew inscriptions throughout the city, many hidden in plain sight. Locate the sites of three former synagogues, before visiting the city’s dedication to Samuel Hasefardi. Explore the newly discovered medieval ceremonial Jewish bath (mikveh), before concluding your tour in the Placa de Sant Jaume.

We went on three tours in Barcelona. The other two were fabulous! This one was extremely boring. Our tour guide kept showing us pictures and talking for 30 minutes at a time. I told her we would like to see more and have less talking but she didn’t seem to care what we wanted.

I am so sorry to hear about your negative experience - especially when the other two were such great tour experiences. We will definitely speak to the guide and try to understand what happened and perhaps she misunderstood the situation. In any case, we will do what we can to prevent this from happening again. It is our goal to ensure our tours are interesting, enlightening, and fun. Thank you for your feedback to help us improve our services.
