Can see why this tour gets high ratings, Ashley ( I hope I’ve spelled correctly) was a superb guide, engaging, professional and controlled a large group with good humour. Visited 5 bars, all outstanding. Great local history lesson at each stop.

From Guggenheim museum there is a footpath along River Nervión on the western bank. There is an installation before the Zubizuri bridge called Zirgariak/Las Sirgueras. It was created by Dora Salazar is a tribute to the figure of the women who towed boats along the Bilbao Estuary with the only help of a towline. It takes you past Zubizuri Bridge (Basque for “white bridge”) which was commissioned by the city from Santiago Calatrava, an architect from Valencia. It had a glass deck that made it possible to see the structure below that supported the walkway, was further enhanced at night thanks to artificial lighting.
Further along the river and crossing the Udaletxeko Zubia bridge stands the magnificent Gothic old town hall on Campo de Volantín Pasealekua.
A short walk from here down Itxaropen Kalea leads to Foru Kalea and one of the entrances to Plaza Nueva. It was an ancient market but has been transformed in to an arts and music venue with many restaurants and eateries.

My friend and I absolutely loved this tour. Adrià, our guide, was very kind, engaging and knowledgeable which made the experience what it was. We started off with a hot crab pintxos which I adored and this was the perfect start to the tour - we then walked through the business area and it was very exciting to get a glimpse into the life of normal Basque people. We enjoyed the additions to the tour such as looking at photographs and talking about the Basque region - it added to the experience so well. My favourite pintxos was the iberico pork at La Olla, it was so delicious I went back twice more during my stay and made friends with one of their chefs! The group was a good size with a mix of lovely people and I think it’s safe to say we all had an excellent time and enjoyed each others company very much… we ended up staying out late after the tour had ended for more drinks! The cost of the tour was very reasonable considering how much we ate and drank, the variety of food and drink, plus the level of enjoyment we experienced. We were very satisfied with it overall and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Bilbao - a fabulous experience I’ll never forget, thank you.

We've never been to Bilbao before but decided that doing a food tour was an ideal way of finding our way around - being given a guided tour of the city with some local food and wine along the way.
Adria was our guide. There were four of us in the group; the two of us from the UK and a very nice couple from Argentina. Adria had to explain everything in both English and Spanish which he did with ease. He was an excellent guide, and you could tell he was very proud of his Basque heritage and culture.
We really enjoyed the tour, had some great food, wine and conversation along the way. We could not recommend Delight Bilbao enough. It was a superb tour and nothing was too much trouble.

The food was excellent. Adrian, the guide, was knowledgeable and friendly.
There was a lot of food and drink, and some walking. When I bought this, several weeks ago, I was wondering if it was worth the price. Having done it, I say it definitely was. The guide made sure that everyone's food quirks were catered to. I give him high points for patience and cheerfulness.
People talked to each other so I didn't feel isolated as a solo traveller.
The photos are just two of the 10 pintxos I sampled. (I had one more than usual because a fussy vegetarian wouldn't eat the artichoke heart.)

Really great introduction to Bilbao through a well chosen and matched selection of pintxos and wines. Very insightful and interesting local hosts cover history and culture of the city along the way - great fun and a nice sociable way to meet some other visitors to the city. Highly recommended. Arrive hungry.

Wow, this tour really exceeded my expectations! Ina was a fabulous guide. She quickly adapted to the preferences of different members of our group and made the whole experience feel seamless and customized. She was incredibly knowledgeable about local food, wines, history, and culture. Her love for the region really came through during the tour. It even got two thumbs up from our kids, ages 9 and 12, who tried some foods they wouldn’t normally have eaten. We highly recommend this tour and would do it again if we were to return to Bilbao!

Adrian was a fantastic guide. He was informative, engaging, and made his attention was split appropriately in our group. He took us to really great bars. We had a wide variety of food and drinks. I also appreciated how he always made sure that everyone knew they could tell him if they didn't care for something or needed anything else. I really recommend this tour!

How far is the start and finish time from the cruise port? Is it walkable? And if not how long does it take in a cab? We arrive tomorrow on the Sky Princess and we are thinking of booking for 12pm but just concerned the timings won’t with our cruise departure time?

Hi,
Do you allow children (under the age of 3) on the tours and what is the cost for children if you do?

I note that there are no 1100 hrs tours booked on the dates I checked. We are arriving by cruise ship on Tuesday April 28, 2020. The ship is only in port during the day leaving at 1700 hrs. Will there be an 1100 hrs tour that day?
