Overview
Making an independent day trip to Tangier from Malaga may mean getting lost or not having time to see all the highlights while there. This trip makes it easy with a panoramic sightseeing drive, guided walks in the souk and medina, lunch at a tried-and-trusted local restaurant, and a camel ride (own expense). Plus, your transport is sorted, with return ferry crossings and Malaga port coach transfers all included.
What to Expect
Depart central Malaga by air-conditioned coach for Tarifa, the ferry port for Morocco, and enjoy a high-speed crossing to Tangier.

On arrival, take a panoramic coach drive around the city’s Ville Nouvelle district, while learning about its colonial history. Then, stroll around the souks and medina (walled town). View the kasbah (old citadel), watch a snake charmer, and try freshly made breads and pastries at a bakery.

After visiting a crafts-and-carpet bazaar, have lunch at a traditional restaurant. Savor staples, such as slow-baked tagine (stew), and enjoy a Berber dance performance as you eat.

Absorb sea views from the Cape Spartel headland and, after mint tea, enjoy a camel ride (own expense) along a stunning beach. Your tour ends with a ferry ride and drop-off at the Malaga location from which you embarked.

Please note: This tour’s itinerary and scheduling are subject to change from December to April, according to ferry timetables and Ramadan.

One of the worst tours ever. Booked through Viator but they contract to Julia for the trip. It is a 4 hour bus ride from Malaga leaving at 530 am. The bus stops dozens of times to pick up people at hotels on the way....More

BEWARE... The reviews are accurate.

This was our second time using Julia Travel and the last. Got picked up at 5:30am from Malaga and was confused how a 2 hour trip to Tarfia, Spain somehow took 3.5 hours... What they don’t tell you is they make multiple stops (around 10)...More

A very long day

Booked an organised trip to Tangier from an agency at Fuengirola bus station which worked out cheaper than through the tour rep. An early morning departure for the ferry 10 am from Tarifa saw us getting to Tangier by 11am. The downside was that passports/entry...More

could have been better advertised as a sales pitch tour

Pick up and coach trip to the port was acceptable, Poorly organised entry visa organisation on the ferry as we were queued up for most of the hour and a half journey waiting to see immigration officers for the passport to be stamped. The coach...More
