With so much great food in East Berlin, it can be difficult to choose the best places to eat. This walking tour lets you try a variety of dishes, without the need for extensive research. Try staples like currywurst, flammenkuchen, and Turkish sweets. You’ll learn about Berlin’s history and see famous landmarks along the way, and because it's a small-group tour, you can ask plenty of questions.

What to Expect
Begin your culinary adventure by meeting your guide and heading to the RAW's market. You’ll learn about the history of the area and then stop at one of its kebab shops. Discover why the city is home to so many artists as you pass intricate street art and East Berlin’s popular galleries.

You’ll taste flammenkuchen, a pizzalike tart; stop at a boutique bakery for some treats; and sample currywurst, a German favorite. Then enjoy a Turkish sweet while learning about Berlin’s Turkish community. Throughout the trip, listen to important historical commentary from your guide.

Your day ends at the East Side Gallery, where you’ll see a remaining section of the Berlin Wall and try one last food sample.

What a great tour!

Many delicious things to eat in this cosmopolitan city in a neighborhood that is off the usual tourist path.. And with the food came lots of great conversation about Germany, Berlin, history and politics. The tour leader (Alex) couldn't have been better!

Our guide, Marigold, was passionate about food and also about showing us some parts of Berlin the normal tourist guides don't. She had selected the places we visited with care and they all were absolutely fabulous. The whole fibe during the tour was great!More
