      Bring the umbrella
The tour narration was very limited. We didn’t hear much info about the places we went and region we visited. Time in each town was very short. Everything felt rushed. Time in Rothenburg was cut short one hour because bus driver wanted to return to Munich sooner, so instead of 11 hours excursion we barely had 10.

      Beautiful
We took a 2 hour train from Munich to Füssen, and then another 15min bus ride up to the castle path. You will have to walk about ~30min up to the castle (probably shorter if you don’t take breaks like we did😅)but was definitely worth the view and photos though !

      Beautiful castle!
A fabulous castle! We did the 2 castle stop and tbh it was just too much. Our tour guides were fantastic but doing it in July is crazy! There were so many buses and people there that by the time we got there for lunch there was no food left at any of the food stops. The tour operator recommended Muellers Bistro - there was a long queue so we were committed. There was one person serving and checking the kitchen sittings. All that was left was truly disgusting hotdogs which I couldn't eat! We then had to run up to see the castle. I hate giving a bad review but my tip is - take food with you and spend time at the bridge and the castle instead - and don't do the 2 castle trip, do Neuschwanstein only. It's incredibly beautiful.

      Mom & daughter castle tour
The tour was fantastic! It included two stops on the way- another gorgeous smaller castle and a quaint little town! I would love to return to hike the grounds surrounding Neuschwanstein castle-it is truly breathtaking!

      Superb experience
We were provided with all kinds of drinks and snacks on the bus, even was surprised with a beer at the end of the day. The guide was courteous and considerate. The arrangement of two castles were just right for one like me who need rest in between.

Great trip to Linderhof and Neuschwanstein castles
We did the tour on a doubledecker bus to Linderhof castle, Oberammergau village, and Neuschwanstein castle on 5 July 2024. Special thanks go to our tour guide Frau Monica, who is super well prepared, organized, friendly, and speaks clearly while presenting all relevant information about the places we were about to see and about everything else. Her organization skills and her ability to deliver the information clearlymust be the standard in this profession. The tour guides inside Linderhof and Neuschwanstein castles spoke either too quietly or simply mumbled, so it was hard to understand what they were saying. So big thanks for Frau Monica for guiding us so well and for all her suggestions on how to make the most of our time in Schwangau. If I hadn't had her advise, I would have definitely missed either on visiting Marienbrucke or having lunch. Many thanks, Frau Monica! I also want to thank our wonderful bus driver Herr Dragan. He was patient and kind and drove a huge bus safely. Overall, our group of tourists were in very good hands! Even though my family all had monthly transportation passes, going on a tour was worth every penny.

      A long, but wonderful day
Johni, our tour guide, and the driver, Mr. Seneca (not sure of spelling) took great care of us. They made us feel safe on a long, interesting day even as we hit traffic or had to navigate a narrow winding road up into the Bavarian Alps. We were almost late because we were confused about the meeting point, but they we so patient and kind. It was a great day.

      Very poor
Got on at stop 6 of tour with intention of staying on bus to complete stops 1-7, was told to get off bus at change over point and get onto 8-11 bus, only to discover this was a repeat of previous bus, driver not interested waste of 58 Euro. Never been told on previous bus tour to get off bus

I felt like I was in Shrek!
This has been on my bucket list of places to see since I was a kid. Today I crossed it off! While we covered a lot of ground, the tour was relaxed and easy. The two castle tours did not disappoint, and the short stop in the Bavarian village Oberammergau gave a little taste of the tradition and culture of the region. Everything looked straight out of a fairy tale! Our tour guide Alberto was enthusiastic and accommodating. He provided some fun and interesting background on our way to the sites, and Yolenko, our driver was pleasant and professional. They made a great team, and made sure everyone was enjoying themselves. I will add that you need to make sure you are on time. They were clear about the schedule and the importance of being back to the bus when we were set to leave. One person on our trip ignored the schedule and they were never seen again.

      Romantic Road Rocks
The trip takes you to 2 spots on the Romantic road, one in which you tour a castle/fortress in Harburg and a 3-hour stint in the remarkable Rothenburg. The guide was funny and able to corral the full tour to be prompt and on time, hastening everyone's experience. There was an accident on the autobahn that impeded traffic by 1/2 hour but the guide kept us all amused.

      Nice, Convenient Tour
Alberto was an excellent guide! He managed our large group well and took the time to personally ask what we thought of the stops. He was patient and provided answers to all questions. We got stuck on Auto Bahn due to a heavy down pour and it being shut down for three hours. Such a pain, but overall the tour was great.

      Good trip - too rushed
Really good trip. A little bit too rushed. They could cut out the short stop in the small town and allow more time at the castles.

We were very lucky to have caught a clear day up in Zugspitze and the weather and views were fantastic! We had a great time with Sven who got me so excited about what to expect whilst on the bus ride up from Munich! And all my expectations were certainly met! Sven’s bubbly commentary has certainly made this entire trip worthwhile and one of the highlights of our trip! His vast knowledge of the area around Zugspitze and Munich certainly has inspired us to return back to Zugspitze and the surrounding towns too! Splendid tour, and will highly recommend it for family trips and couple trips too! :)

This was an amazing day trip! A nice break the busy feel of München, this tour was great. Our guide, Sven, did a wonderful job of speaking both English and German fluently to inform us of things to look out for on the way to Zugspitze on the bus, as well as the best way to spend our time at the mountain itself. The cable cars and cog wheel trains all have amazing views & the beer tastes even better up in the clouds! Highly recommend this tour & especially this tour group - mainly Sven!!

Elisabeth, our guide, was informative and well prepared. Not only did she provide information about Zugspitze and the area, but she told us the important stuff... where the restrooms were and where we could eat. She had pictures of our meeting areas and times. Zugspitze itself was very picturesque and we had adequate time on the peak. We are happy we went.

We absolutely loved our trip with Sven, our guide, to the summit of Zugspitze. It was stunning and our guide provided so much information about the surrounding area. the instructions were clear and we felt like there was plenty of time to take in the views of the summit and the glacier.

The surrounding town was very beautiful & scenic with all the old traditional houses & restaurants.

This was a wonder trip that I fully enjoyed at Mt. Zugspitze! Our tour guide Elizabeth and driver Andrea were great hosts with their hospitality and knowledge about history around the Bavaria area. They were very organized and respectful to the group and made sure we had all the information we needed to have a successful and comfortable trip. I will definitely recommend others to go to Mt. Zugspitze with this guided service!

My family of four went on this tour in July 2022 while visiting Munich. With two teenage boys, this is an excellent excursion particularly on a Sunday when many businesses and shops are closed in Munich. The tour bus was clean, our guide pleasant, and the tickets for the gondola and mountain train included in the price. The highlight, as it should be, was Zugspitze. It was an unforgettable day with gorgeous views and my family absolutely enjoyed it. I highly recommend and Gray Line makes the trip to Zugspitze easy and carefree.

This tour was absolutely amazing and worth the trip. I want to especially mention Barbara (Tour Guide) and Adrian (Driver) for their fantastic efforts.
Barbara is a treasure with her kind hearted approach and knowledge about all things related to the tour (probably all things German/Bavaria as well). She speaks with a good relaxed tone and is very thoughtful about allowing tourists to feel safe, informed and excited about the visit to Zugspitze. She really is a national treasure - I mean it from the heart.
Adrian was an expert in getting us from Munich to Zugspitze, smoothly and without fanfare. Punctual and patient.
We loved and appreciated our time with them on the tour. The mountain is absolutely worth visiting - along with the cable car and cogwheel, and you get to see it from Germany and Austria sides.
One last point on Barbara, if I had more days available - I would have gone on just about every upcoming tour she was going to take in the following days, to Salzburg, etc. She was that amazing a tour guide.
I hope the travel company recognises and rewards her with great honour.
Thank you once again Barbara and Adrian! God bless you guys.

Definitely a must see/do for your trip to Munich. The bus trip, while long, offers views of the beautiful Bavarian hills. Dress warmly for the top of the mountain and bring a good camera. It's amazing. I wish there was a it more time at the peek or some time to see the village below but others great experience.
