About the operator
- CSalpini00Beautiful castle, not enough to do on the tourNeuschwanstein itself was lovely — the tour of the castle is quite short and was only given by audio guide, but they are given by the government so the tour company can’t do anything about that. Our tour guide was great, but the trip itself was way too long for the number of things there are to do. We had an hour and a half for lunch, then an hour and a half before our tour of the castle and then an hour to get back to the bus after that. It ended up feeling like a trip that easily could have been a half day. Or, it would have been good to book ourselves tickets to Hohenschwangau Castle so we had something to do with all of our extra free time, but we weren’t given an itinerary in advance so there wasn’t a way to plan for that. Also the tour company ended up short by one ticket, so one of the people on our tour was unable to tour the castle. The outside of the castle is cooler than the tour of the inside anyway, but seeing as guaranteed tickets is one of the services of this tour, that should have been locked up.
- 125691200Great Tour!Josh was a great and very knowledgeable tour guide. He was very informative and patient with our group. The tour fully met our expectations.
- TrailBlazer2747600EnlighteningSobering and informative. Josh had wonderful photos to help make his points. There is so much to learn about this topic!
- Counselor202200Magical fairytale castleThe tour of the castle is an amazing experience. Tour guides, Stephanie and Michele were enthusiastic with stories and historical perspectives. Take the horse drawn carriage of you have ANY reservations about climbing up or down the mountain!
- X9728HCmarciah00Go to the Castle! We enjoyed a lovely day with Stephanie, our guide with Radius tours. The bus ride from Munich to the castle was comfortable and informative. We chose to walk with Stephanie up the hill to the castle. The walk is steep at times, but the view from the bridge is gorgeous! The castle itself is beautiful as is the Bavarian countryside. Our day was wonderful. We highly recommend Radius and Stephanie.
- MariaSMoore00Perfect way to visit SalzburgFantastic day! It’s perfect whether you are solo or a group. They basically escort you to Salzburg (train , then city bus). You get the basic lay of the land with a mini tour, then you get to explore, shop, dine …on your own. At the end of the day, you meet up again and the escort you back to the starting point. For those that don’t love being stuck with a group all day, it’s perfect. You get there (without thinking, planning or buying the train tickets), then you are on your own u til it’s time to go back. Plus, the guide Lucia was just perfect. Funny, informative, conversational, friendly.
- 484meghat00Yas Girls!Michelle & Stephanie were absolutely 💯 wonderful tour guides. The stories they told of Ludvig II provided an adventurous, historical backdrop to our Neuschwanstein visit that was simply not provided during the castle tour. Listening to Wagner's Flight of the Valkyrie's during our ride to the castle was a particular treat as was the lagerbier they offered on our ride home. I would highly recommend this dynamic, well-balanced duo to anyone as one is an accomplished linguist and the other an observant tour guide who will well take care of your needs. -Washingtonian (DC-ite)
- 370kelliw00Excellent castle tripDay visit to the castle. From the moment we got to the office and we greeted by the Office lady everything went smoothly !We thoroughly enjoyed my day to the Castle with Michelle and Stephanie and Samir the bus driver. It was amazing. His driving was smooth and calm and so great !!Both tour guides were amazing. We learnt so many things about the history of Bavaria and the Castle and not only that they were like mother ducks making sure we were all okay and doing what we wanted to. I really wanted to go on a horse ride up the hill walking is no good for anybody And she organised me,she got me to the right place at the right time. Great day
- syjkan00Highly recommendedOur guide, Eric, was informative and humorous. It was a enjoyable way to revisit history you read while meandering around the city at where it happened. More of the focus was put in how Hitler raised into power, and that was interesting. Group size, pace and volume of the guide were all nice.
- davegH7321JV00Dachau - A must see tourWe would highly recommend the Dachau Concentration Camp tour. This chronicles an important part of history that no society should ever repeat. Our guide, Mat, did an outstanding job of providing the context for what happened at Dachau in a way that demonstrated his passion and deep sense of history. He set an appropriately somber tone for the tour itself, but was personable and interactive with the tour group to still make it enjoyable. He was a wealth of knowledge of the Munich area as well!
- Adventure0654660210800Most interesting tour for history buffsThird Reich walking tour with Josh was interesting and informative. Josh was an excellent guide who made sure no one was left behind and took care of everyone’s safety. Would not have seen or known all that if not for the tour as the buildings were not marked in any way. Highly recommended for anyone interested in history!
- F8767YPjamesc00Walking requirements are high, but worth it.A wonderful experience. Not Quite sure why we stopped at a village on the way, but once we got to the castle it was jaw dropping. The is a lot of uphill walking so be prepared for that. We strolled back towards the entrance for our meal and struck gold , Hauptgerichte.
- John C00Excellent tourExcellent informative tour. Guide was very knowledgeable and very easy to understand and friendly. Great insights regarding Hitler and the 3rd Reich.
- birmfamily00TremendousOutstanding. Our guide (Steven) was amazing. His passion and knowledge for the subject and the area were second to none Can’t thank him enough for this. The snow didn’t stop us (not even the massive slab that dropped off the top of the old Gestapo building…….. A tremendous few hours and a must for anyone visiting Munich
- S9366IJjohno00Hitler’s rise and fall in 2.5 hours!!Our tour guide, Eric is second to none! Encyclopedic knowledge of German history with many references to current events. He has his facts straight and presents the historical perspective of the lead up to WWII in such depth that it is like a college level history course. Stopped at all of the key historical sites along the way - in a 17 inch snowfall!! Highly recommended!

Our tour guide did not consider the abilities and walking speeds of all member of the group. We almost lost him in several occasions in crowded train stations. The museum was at the top of a very steep, very narrow, theee story flight of stairs, which prevented many in our group from seeing.

Sorry you felt we could have done better on this tour. We are always looking to improve, and will certainly take your comments on board. We must emphasise, however, that we are a walking tour company, and most of our tours do involve a reasonable amount of walking at a reasonable pace.

We went on the beer and food tour with Thomas from Radius. He shared history of the city, Oktoberfest, and the beer tradition. We started at the terminal with a bottle of beer and then on to the other fun German beer pubs to sample beer and food of the region. Everything was very good, and Thomas was fun and informative. We also met interesting people who were in our group. We ended the evening at the beer hall, which was a lively and fun place. They had a live polka band and lots of beer. We reccomend this tour for a fun time in Munich.

I do not recommend this tour because even after advising the staff of a food allergy at 500pm, which they said could easily be accommodated when they called the restaurant, I NEVER received a meal! We sat and waited over an hour with only a bowl of cream cheese and a pretzel while everyone else enjoyed large platters of food. The guide was too busy stuffing his face & drinking beer to notice that two of his group had NO DINNER!!!! A complete waste of time and money. We had to spend another 60 euros to get dinner due to the Munich birthday party that was happening at Marienplatz.

Thank you for your honest opinion on our Bavarian Beer Tour that you joined. I do apologize if you felt like this tour was for not you. The bavarian cusine is a very meat centric one, that is true and the intention of the tour is to share a local perspective on how bavarian culture is lived. There are vegetaian options, which one of them is the Obazda, the Go To dish that you have in a traditional beer garden, which you eat with the bavarian pretzels.
I certainly apologize that our guide did not communicate with you that this is the vegetarian option that is provided, but this is the traditional bavarian go to dish for vegetarians.

I took a weekend trip to Munich while in Germany on business and was by myself so I thought it'd be great to join up with some fellow travelers and drink and learn about beer. There were about 8 of us total and Dani (sp?) was our guide. Half the group was German and half American (the half German was unusual from what I was told, but because of COVID a lot of Europeans are domestically travelling). Dani handled the diverse group like a champion translating when we needed to though the Germans spoke English pretty well so there wasn't too much of a need. There were only two of us there as singles, but we were soon laughing and toasting each other as a group the whole night. Dani provided easy going education about each of the stops and the various beers. Best decision of my Munich weekend was doing this tour! My only advice would be for the guide to have one last beer in the Hofbrauhaus as it is a little awkward ending the night right outside. Other then that small recommendation, five stars!

We do food tours all over the world and this focuses more on the beer culture of Munich, but the food did not disappoint! As with all great tours, the guide sets the tempo, and Thomas was just fantastic, attentive, kind and made a point to talk with each of our little groups...asking questions and ensuring all were doing great. Meeting other travelers is so much fun and you become fast friends. When you end a tour at Hofbrauhaus...there is nothing better. To say we had a great time is an understatement. Book this tour!

Our guide Dani was outstanding being the part of the evening to remember. We joined the tour late coming from another tour meeting the group at the Beer museum where Dani a font of information & my husband much enjoyed tasting beers in historic setting. I have Celiac disease. Dani did find me a glass of wine.
Sadly the balance of evening was a disappointment. We were only able to peek into Hofbrau House
Dani went across street bought a case of Aying beer in glass bottles to carry and drink to next stop. Doubt anyone had time to drink a beer on the short walk. My husband uses a cane. It was drizzling rain so he couldn't drink his beer in a bottle.. No wine for me. At the next stop we were to order drinks and have Bavarian tasting platter. My wine came after others in the group had left! We DID NOT get our food at all. Dani tried to get it for us. We waited well over an hour for nothing Again Dani good guide We believe some refund would be appropriate.

Thank you very much for your honest comments on this tour. The fact that you arrived around 1,5 hours late to the tour really made this very complication to alligne this with the regular intinerary on this tour. That also caused the confustion within our restaurant as nobody know when and if you would be coming. I am very sorry that this did not work out as schedule, I apologize for this inconveinience.

Fun evening! Our guide Kevin started us off with a bottle of Paulaner at the meeting point (it's perfectly legal to drink a beer on the street in Bavaria!), and then off we went to learn about (and drink, and experience) Munich's beer heritage. On a balmy summer evening, the beer was delicious and refreshing. After sampling several styles of Augustiner at a beer museum and enjoying wheat beer (Weißbier/Weizenbier/Hefeweizen) at a lovely old restaurant with our meal, we were escorted to the historic Hofbräuhaus, where Kevin left us and the eight of us guests (who were already good friends by then) carried on! Highly recommended. Munich is a beer-centric city, so why not start with a beer-centric tour?

Kevin was our tour guide and did a great job showing us around the city. We started off with a beer, went to the Oktoberfest Museum for a tasting and pretzel, stopped at Schneider Weisse Gasthaus for a Bavarian style meal, and finally ended up at Hofbrauhaus for a final liter. It was so much more enjoyable with Kevin showing us around the museum and explaining the history of the city and foods we were enjoying, all in all a great experience to kick off our visit to Munch!

The tour was a WONDERFUL experience! Worth every cent. Jax was a fantastic tour guide, very knowledgeable and funny. We started the tour with a bottle of beer, took the train to the Oktoberfest museum where we toured the museum and had 3 samples of beer and a pretzel, then we walked to the next restaurant where we had a meat and cheese plate that was more than enough for dinner, then ended the tour walking to Hofbrauhaus where our whole group ended up sitting together to enjoy more beer. Would absolutely recommend doing this if you’re in Munich!

Took the tour 30 August 2022. The tour did not go to Beer and Oktoberfest museum as shown on the sample itinerary. We went to Augustiner am Dom, Hofbrauhaus and Altes Hacker Haus. Guide didn't really address the group with educational facts. He worked his way through the group talking to small groups at various times. He was enjoyable and knowledgeable, but this wasn't really a tour - t was more like meeting a group of people and going to several restaurants together.

Thanks for the review of our Bavarian Beer and Food Evening Tour in Munich. We are sorry to read the tour did not meet your expectations. Unfortunately the beer and oktoberfest museum has been closed for a short period over the summer due to extensive restoration works. Our guides take groups to an alternative extra beer garden or beer hall in place of this stop and guests are provided with drinks there instead. The nauture of the beer tour is to be led to various beerhalls/ restaurants and be provided some stories and histoy of beer along the way. Its sounds like our guide delivered on this but just didnt quite meet your expectations.
