Overview
This full-day American D-Day beaches tour packs in more sites than other tours and gives you plenty of insight into the history of WWII. Listen to guide commentary full of little-known facts and relax during round-trip transport.
What to Expect
Your full-day American D-Day tour starts with a pickup from central Bayeux. Hop in your vehicle, and get ready to see the American D-Day beaches, as well as the stunning American cemetery.

As you ride, your guide tells you all about the WWII history and D-Day—June 6, 1944. Your main stops include Carentan, Utah Beach, Sainte-Mere-Eglise, Pointe Du Hoc and Omaha Beach. At each stop, your guide goes into great detail about how each location played a huge role in D-Day and the war.

You will also have free time to explore the sites on your own. To conclude this tour, we will finish at the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial. You will be stunned by the magnificence of this tribute to the fallen. Row after row of perfectly aligned crosses of the brave souls who made the ultimate sacrifice. One of the last things you will see on this tour is the lowering of the American flag to the sound of taps. An emotional end to an emotional day!

Your D-Day tour ends with drop-off back in Bayeux.

Initially I intended to rent a car and tour the beaches on my own ... after realizing I didn’t have the requisite foreign drivers permit I reverted to this guided tour. What a fortunate mistake. Not only do you get to see all the key...More

We did visit Utah Beach but the museum was not a part of the tour. However, if my memory is correct, I believe we had some limited free time at Utah Beach so you have some time walk into the museum. But don't count on a... More
