- nathanlH216AS0 contributionsMagical experience! We couldn’t have asked for a better way to explore Paris. The tour was a feast for the senses, with incredible food and stories about the area’s heritage. Walking through such an iconic part of the city while indulging in gourmet treats was magical.Written 11 January 2025
- kellyhL7417ZQ0 contributionsGood luck finding the correct class/location!This experience was terrible. 3 different locations, none of the emails have the correct address in them, the tickets do not have the address and when you click on the “meeting details” it gives no address. When we showed up to the address for Maison Fleuret, we barely found it because the sign was the size of a cell phone and when the check in person came out and told us it was the wrong address/class, she was nice enough to call and let the correct place know we would not be able to make it, looked at our tickets and commented how odd it was there was no address and assured us we would be refunded as we were on time and not able to take the class. The office got back to me and refused to refund our money, offered to reschedule us for the next day, which was our travel home day. Full of excuses why the could not refund our money. Would suggest they update their information much more clearly on the tickets, emails and app. Terrible and patronizing.Written 7 January 2025
- FlourBouquet0 contributionsFun but overpriced and minimal instructionFor the price and description, we really expected to learn how to make macarons. The actual instruction was minimal, and we were left with many questions. However, it was a fun night and we did leave with several boxes of beautiful macarons that we made. My two teens enjoyed it, even though one had no interest going into the class. First, they changed locations on us due to a situation at our chosen location. That’s fine, emergencies happen, but it did change the plan for our day and should be noted. The class itself was lovely. A small group, well prepared. But so many things were already done for us (didn’t get to sift our own flour, or make our own meringue) so when we went home to try to follow their recipe, it didn’t go well. The recipe is provided via a link to a pdf later. It says it makes 40 cookies but it makes 40 halves. There were inconsistencies with what we did in class and what the recipe says. The instructions for the fillings are very curt and non descriptive. There are typos, and the pictures are just drawn graphics that are unhelpful. The pdf itself is not able to be printed — the text comes out as gibberish so I had to transcribe it in order to print it. I emailed clarifying questions afterwards but never got a response. The timing of the class was unclear. When we registered it said 4:30-7:30. Later they said 4:30-7. We were done in about 90 minutes. Some of the issues could be solved if they provided the recipe during the class so students could ask questions and take notes. They could also provide a paper template to take home. If you think of this as a theater experience, it’s fine. If you want to actually learn and go home and make macarons, it’s insufficient and could be improved significantly, even with some small changes.Written 20 December 2024

- JacobFDC0 contributionsI would recommend this class! We took their Macaron baking class and had a great time. The class was small, and the instructor was super helpful, patient, and had great tips for us. I always thought Macarons were intimidating, but after this class, I feel like can make them at home. I would sign up for another class with Maison Fleuret.Written 30 November 2024
- isabellegL6739AB0 contributionsFinally perfect macaronsI attended a macaron class at the Maison Fleuret Notre Dame site (other reviews are correct - you can book the Saint Germain de Pres location and are then informed it is not open and asked to attend another site). It was a lovely way to spend an afternoon - our instructor (Amelie) gave really clear instructions and made sure everyone left with a box of macarons they had made themselves. If you're travelling solo, I'd recommend this activity - I was the only solo traveller in a group of 9 (everyone else was family/friends travelling in pairs) and it was a really friendly group.Written 24 November 2024
- annaw5370 contributionsREAD THIS BEFORE BOOKINGThe Germain de Pres location is currently under renovation. If you select this location when booking your class, you will actually have to go to one of their other locations. Some people do not know this and show up at the wrong spot, as the ticketing system still allows you to book the closed location. I emailed them after booking to confirm all is okay for my upcoming class, and they notified me of the location change. Otherwise, I would have showed up at the wrong spot!Written 7 October 2024
- 3mochagirl0 contributionsChocolate & Coffee Eclairs - Delicious & EasyMarcel, the instructor greeted us. She is an amazing pastry chef and awesome teacher. She was very organized having all the ingredients measured out and ready. She was kind, patient and helpful when teaching. She went over each step carefully explaining and showing. Our eclairs turned out beautifully and delicious. We got to talk a ball home each plus a bag of delicious Sugettes. It was a wonderful class and we will remember it fondly especially when we make eclairs when we are home. Thank you, MarcelWritten 1 October 2024
- gracefultraveller0 contributionsFun, but not quite as advertisedThe instructor was great. We learned a lot and enjoyed the result—delicious macaroons. Note: The corner building does not yet have signage, but they were at the door looking for us. Also, the description says “snacks and apron provided.” If water, tea, and coffee are snacks, then it’s a good thing we stopped for a light lunch in advance or we would have been hangry. The apron provided was a plastic, one-use apron, so don’t think you’ll walk away with a nice souvenir to show your friends and family when you make macaroons for them. That is a missed opportunity, as it would be a nice way to drum up additional business. The class was not inexpensive, but we had a great time. I would recommend it, but be aware this seems to be a newer business working out the kinks.Written 30 September 2024
- lauramC2833EP0 contributionsSunday MacaronsI attended the macaron baking class in Paris in August when I had a couple of solo days. The people who ran the class were awesome, because I booked an early class, then couldn't get transportation there in time, so they added me to a later class in the day. I was so relieved! The class was great. The instructor was funny, charming and knowledgeable. We happened to all be American, and she spoke very good English. The macarons came out delicious and I can't wait to make them here at home in Indiana. I just need to request the recipe again, because I can't find the link on my phone!!!Written 10 September 2024

- jacoba8960 contributionsCrooked company- BEWARE- Do not bookI would give them 0 stars if I could. This company is incompetent, when we booked the class we went to the location and the doors were locked. I messaged them on the Viator Tripadvisor app, and the person on the app said "knock on the doors and they will come out" well no one ever did. I contacted Tripadvisor and they stated that they couldn't do anything since they were just a venue. The company refused to refund us. Fortunately I paid with paypal and I'm fighting to reverse the charge. I'd avoid this company.Written 20 July 2024
- D1461JKkarenk0 contributionsHighly recommend. Great way to spend an afternoonWhat a fun afternoon! Morgan was a great teacher- so friendly and helpful. I loved that everyone was able to choose their own color for the shell and flavor for the ganache filling. And take home all the leftover macarons!Written 28 June 2024

We had a very enjoyable session learning about French baking with Delphine. The actual process to make croissants from scratch takes 8+ hours, but she has a very innovative way of having you experience all the steps but keeps it to a reasonable 2.5 hours. We did this with my 15 year old daughter and she loved it. The cost is certainly high, but if you love baking the experience and resulting product was worth it. Also the class size was small so there was lots of attention and guidance — and Delphine shared her recommendations of top Paris spots from a local’s point of view too. Would recommend.

We had a fabulous time baking crossaints and pan au chocolat with Felix! My two teenage daughters and mother-in-law joined me and we learned every step of the process in a modern, cool, clean, and open kitchen space. Felix was approachable, comfortable, and welcoming, telling us stories of his baking experience and tips for places to visit in the city. With 10 people in the class, we had plenty of space and everyone was involved with every step of the process. I would highly recommend this location for learning to bake in Paris!!

This was such a fun activity. We took our three kids, ages 11, 8 & 6, to this class. Chef Lauren was wonderful. She was patient and kind as she explained all about making croissants. I loved the process of how we went through the class, as it was not in order, but allowed for us make croissants and have time to rise and bake, and then we made the dough for the next class. It made sense and gave us a full understanding of how to make croissants. I would highly recommend this activity for families with kids, friends, couples or even solo travelers.

Delphine was a great instructor. She took the time to get to know everyone by asking questions. This made us all feel like a group of friends getting together to bake. Delphine showed us the tricks of the trade and explained why croissants in France are so delicious. She had a great sense of humour that made the class fun and her knowledge of baking was exceptional. I would definitely recommend this experience when you’re in Paris!!

Great experience that made croissant making seem a lot less daunting. My only gripe with the class is the “detailed” instructions they give you. Does not nearly go into enough detail, also notes ingredients we didn’t use like honey for instance, nor does it not talk about the substitutions. They use natural yeast, which apparently you can substitute the same amount of dry yeast. They use a certain flour, but said you can use a 50/50 mixture of other flours. Little details that make a big difference when you get home and try to recreate it. It’s not that hard to take photos of actual people doing the work and mention those things. Otherwise, I’d recommend it if you are prepared to take some detailed notes, otherwise you’ll forget everything.

I did the Making croissant class and enjoyed every second of it. Delphine was great from the start ass she was waiting outside for us to make sure we find the place and to my class in time.
The class was fun and instructional from start to finish. Delphine answered every question I asked her and always with a smile.
Making croissants and pain au chocolat is an art form and was very keen in learning exactly how it's all done. What better place than a baking school in Paris!!
I highly recommend Maison Fleuret Baking School. Communication was quick. I enjoyed this class so much that I was back for the macarons class two days later!
I really appreciated the fact that they could fit me in last minute.
Merci Delphine, Mathieu et l'équipe !

I wasn't sure whether to go for this experience or not because it was pricier than other activities I was looking at, but I am SO glad I did. The two leading the class were so friendly and were very clearly experts. It is worth mentioning that you get to do every stage of the process, but you don't do the process from start to finish because that would take something like 9 hours. But the finished croissants and pain au chocolat you have gotten to work on and shape quite a bit, so you don't feel like you have missed out at all. The end product is just absolutely delicious and cooking it in the class is an unreplicable experience, I cannot recommend it enough.

My experience with the croissant-making class by Delphine at Maison Fleuret was truly wonderful. Despite a scheduling mix-up that changed the location from one conveniently near our hotel to one a quick train ride and ten-minute walk away, everything was well worth it. A tip for future participants: make sure to check your emails in case of a change like this.
Delphine was kind and warm, with a gentle sense of humor. Originally aspiring to be an English teacher, she is perfectly suited to instruct English speakers. Since making croissants from start to finish takes over 8 hours, the school has today's class use yesterday's dough while we create the dough for tomorrow. This allows us to go through every step of the process, albeit out of order. Delphine ensured we understood each step and weren't confused, making the intimidating task of creating French croissants from scratch seem achievable at home.
By the end of the class, everyone had made two each of croissants, pain au chocolat, and raisin rolls, along with a cinnamon roll from the leftover scraps of dough. A word of advice: eat them within hours. My husband and I are now looking forward to creating croissants with our young children.

I really enjoyed this class. I wanted to learn how to make croissants better than the ones I had attempted in the past, and she gave detailed advice and made the process so straightforward. She was great about helping us get good pictures. It was so nice to have an American teaching the class, as she shared her views as an expat in Paris. The class is not in a bakery, but in a large room that has all the equipment needed. There is a large counter that we all gathered around. I do think I benefited from the fact that part of the class were so late from the Paris Olympics security closures that we only had 3 people, so lots of personalized attention!
You will make croissants in a sort of reverse order. First you take the refrigerated dough and form your rolls, then while they are rising, you make the dough for the next day's class. Each person in the class made 2 croissants, 2 pain au chocolat and 1 pain au raisin and she gives you a bag to take these home. You are sent a link to the recipes. I think that this class would be best for aspiring bakers as it is mainly about technique: I think young children might be unable to do the steps or might get bored.
