An excellent small museum in an interesting house set in lovely gardens. Stopped for coffee and cake in the delightful cafe. We spent two hours there and, after a month's journey in Europe, ranked this museum in our top five most enjoyable things to do.
Not far from the Sacre Coeur is the Musee de Montmartre which provides a very good history of the Montmartre area, the evolution of the cabaret and the painters associated with the area including Renoir and Toulouse Lautrec.
