- Sherpa7661120 contributionsSemi Private Tour of the Louvre with Guide Emily of Babylon Tours. Our Babylon tour guide was excellent, an art history student who grew up in the Latin quarter of Paris. Emily, who had in depth knowledge of all the art in the Louvre, took our group on a deep dive into specific important paintings and sculptures rather than try to cover too many, told their stories with incredible informative details with a great breadth of subjects and time periods as well as a fine sense of humor. She was simply marvelous amidst the crowds and bustle of the museum, we could have not been more happily educated.Written 15 September 2024

- 208tashag0 contributions⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for François! What a tour!! François was such a delight, and was filled with historical knowledge of Paris. Our tour group was incredibly intimate (one other person including myself and my husband) so we were able to ask every single question we could think of and get an in depth answer. It truly felt like we were walking the streets of Paris with an incredibly knowledgeable friend. François also took my special request to see a part of the city that I had wanted to explore! Worth every Euro!Written 15 September 2024

Very good overview of the Impressionist period of painting .
Our guide, Sunday , was very knowledgeable and passionate about the painters, their art and their way of life.
We were able to get to the paintings and listen to the descriptions of the artwork and be able to flow from one area to another.
I feel it was worth the cost to avoid the crowds and learn from our guide and able to ask questions.

Our guide Marcel did a wonderful job. Our group included three generations and Marcel shared engaging stories about the artwork that both educated and entertained the whole group. Also, we toured on a Thursday evening when the museum was pleasantly quiet.

Amazing time with a great guide who was very informative and very engaging. She also seemed very passionate about what she was talking about and really cared about the art. I would definitely recommend going to the Louvre first since the art in here picks up after the art in the Louvre. Afterwords got to walk around and explore a bit on our own.

I purchased tickets a few months prior to our trip to Paris through Babylon Tours for a semi-private tour of the Musee D’Orsay. I received excellent communications from Babylon confirming tickets and how to meet our guide.
Our guide was Saskia and with her outstanding background and knowledge of art history, she provided us with a wonderful and interesting tour of the Orsay Museum. At one point my husband was not feeling well (from not eating all day and lack of hydration) and Saskia handled the issue in a highly professional manner. We were both so thankful for her concern and staying with us to make sure he was alright. We could not have had a better guide !!
I would highly recommend booking with Babylon Tours and hopefully, you will be as fortunate as we were to have Saskia as your tour guide in Paris !!!

Eduardo was simply spectacular as a tour guide of my favorite museum in the world. His insights and the way he led from decade to decade as the art of the 19th century progressed was extraordinary. I brought my 12 year old granddaughter to Paris for the first time, and she loved the d'Orsay enough to take photos of some of the paintings - a first! Eduardo was able to entertain a party of 5 Americans with disparate ages and interests. Truly a 5 start experience!

Our guide Malaika was very knowledgeable and enriched our visit by telling us about the history and evolution of art from academic to Impressionism and post Impressionism. Though I had seen many of the pieces before, she brought new perspectives. I would recommend this and other guided museum tours, especially if you are visiting for the first time.

Our guide, Eduardo, was outstanding. He was very knowledgeable, came prepared with the backstory for each of the artists and their masterpieces and very patient to allow us to ask additional questions or take photos. The only drawback is how busy it was, there were people bumping into us in every room. Still worth it since there are so many incredible pieces housed here.

This was our last tour on our vacation to Paris in Sept 2023. Romain was our guide with 6 other people. I chose the 5:00-7:30 time slot, which I highly recommend as the museum was not as crowded as the morning.
Romain was our guide and very knowledgeable. We spent most of our time on the 5th Floor with the Impressionist's art, which is what we were there to see. My only criticism is that as Romain talked, he was constantly waving his arms around and it became quite distracting. Then again, maybe I was just tired :)

Daniel was an incredible guide! Highly recommend this tour. We got a deeply informed history about the artists and the museum's itself. There were only five people on the tour and despite it being a very busy day at the d'Orsay, it was also easy to hear and understand the guide throughout.

Gracias
