- Paynela0 contributionsWonderful museumWe loved this experience, everything was so easy and there is so much to look at. Wonderful museum and we learned a lot! Lots of cafes to choose from, lacking in ladies toilets though which was a bit disappointing as queues in every one.Written 9 September 2024
- brelda0 contributionsFalse advertisement, daylight experience.Totally disappointed, description states "experience the sites illuminated along the Seine" with beautiful lights in the evening. My first clue should have been in the instructions to meet at 6:45 pm to board the boat. I inquired "why be here do early, it isn't going to be dark until later?" I was told that was the later cruise...Really so pissed. I call that "bait and switch". No illuminated lights!!!!! When we ordered from the menu, we were informed that the item would cost $8.00 / person more and charged $8.00/person for water because the only drink offered was the one 4 oz of champagne each. I gave the salad one☆.Written 8 September 2024
- Ashley19690 contributionsAverage at bestUnsure if paying extra for skip the line (Eiffel Tower) was worth it. There was basically no-one there when we joined the tour at 11am. Tour guide was helpful in advising where we were to go & as well as the Seine cruise & bus tour. Better signage for the cruise would be nice as we missed the cruise by 2 mons & had to wait 30 mins for the next one. What REALLY annoyed us was that the bus tour took 45 mins longer than advised, they didn't allow us to alight from the bus even though we drove directly past our hotel at the other end of the city, and we missed our dinner reservation. I suggest, even for the first time visitor, do the hop on hop off bus instead & don't use this business.Written 7 September 2024
- CarissaMD0 contributionsSuch a great day!Manuela our guide was fantastic! She was very nice and knowledgeable. The ride was great and comfortable. And it was just amazing seeing Giverny and Versailles. My only complaints were we could’ve left Giverny a tad bit earlier for more time at Versailles. And lunch wasn’t great. No one in my group ate most of the first course and the rest of lunch was just okay.Written 7 September 2024
- Sara72golf0 contributionsWonderful from start to finishWe booked a lunch time cruise with champagne option. The day before we were contacted to say due to the Olympics our cruise couldn’t go ahead at lunch, but we were given the option of two times later that day for dinner. We opted for the 6:45pm. We were seated at the front of the boat with window view, spectacular!! The food and drink were wonderful. The staff very attentive. The lady singer was an added bonus and made the ambiance even more lovely. Highly recommend this cruise. A perfect birthday treat!Written 5 September 2024
- Camper8300660 contributionsHorrible customer serviceHorrible customer service! I booked a Seine River tour, however my son fell very sick and they refused to refund my money. Unfortunately, we lost $170. There are other more humane service providers than Paris City Vision.Written 4 September 2024
- U6918JRmattl0 contributionsPerfect night!Perfect night. Staff was excellent and friendly. Food was decent. Not crowded because I think they intentionally limited attendance. Easy to find and everything ran like clockwork. Captain spun the boat twice so that all seats could get a good view of the statue of liberty. Paid a little extra to get the front table (only two) and it was worth it. Some reviews mentioned not being able to order a second drink. We had no issues with drink service.Written 4 September 2024
- Alesya B0 contributionsLove itGreat dinner, lovely singer and beautiful views. Will do it again. Love it and will recommend to my friends. Price is modest.Written 30 August 2024
- 222deepaka0 contributionsBeautiful surroundings but awfully crowdedA lovely place to visit but masses of visitors allowed into the gardens at the same time marred ones appreciation and enjoyment of the surroundings. This a place which lends itself for contemplative reflection of the Monet, the artist, and his works.Written 24 August 2024
- X A0 contributionsAugust 2024 VersaillesAugust 15th 2024- Nati was very nice, soft spoken and knowledgable. She guided us through the museum and gave us good points to tour the gardens and see the most after her tour. Very convenient to go from Paris in a bus.Written 16 August 2024
- Todd S0 contributionsGreat tour of history without the sidetracksBooked this tour from Paris after the Olympics, it’s a must do. Solo traveler from NY. You hit all the main spots, there are many so they are relatively short, but all are important. Lunch spot is a beautiful town on the beach with plenty of shops. There aren’t any irrelevant stops at wineries or any of the other places that the other companies go to. I wanted to see history, not taste wine. Nice bus, tour guide spoke good English and had a good knowledge of events, everything went well, recommend.Written 14 August 2024
- 740kimberlyl0 contributionsAverage experience for a tour overallThe site was lovely and I am glad I got to see Monet's house and gardens. The tour seemed a little pricey. But it is a 90 min drive out to the Normandy region. Our price included the ticket I to the Monet estate. I do get irritated at being charged extra for an audio guide that I have to download on my phone to listen to. Most of the time the audio takes forever to download and eats up my battery on the phone. I would rather they provide a device that I can listen to.Written 9 August 2024
- rachelhT9241UV0 contributionsProfessionalA lovely cruise. Excellent meal and wine and professional waiters. Altogether worth paying a little more for. Slightly hard to find the departure point as we went during the Olympics and most of the streets surrounding the Seine had been closed for the cycling and tri-athlon.Written 8 August 2024
- owenf8350 contributionsA great experience, would recommendThis group provides different tour types, some with an audio guide, some with a guide and others with a do it yourself kind of experience. We chose the do it yourself and provided was transport to the location, entrance to the site with a generous amount of time to walk around the site and take in the sights. We managed to do the whole gardens and house at a leisurely pace. We were then dropped of just outside of the Eiffel Tower in the evening which meant we could see the lights. Would recommend though that you book this for a day with good weather to best enjoy the colours and garden, as most of the site is outside. Overall a great experience!Written 7 August 2024

The tour guides were great and very informative. Unfortunately the trip was too short and we found ourselves running around to try and see the gardens. The bus driver wasn't very good and made us feel a bit sick by jerking the bus all the time. Personally if I was to recommend Versailles to anyone I would suggest they hire a car and take their time to enjoy the palace with the audio book the palace provide

Because of problems on my end getting to the drop off point, I missed the bus to Versailles. However, I was able to take a cab and meet the group at the entrance. The tour group was helpful in telling me what to look for and helping me find my group, and the guide was very sweet and extremely knowledgeable.
I had a great time, and I would recommend this tour. If you're interested in spending extra time in the gardens (which I recommend), you don't *have* to return with the group, you can simply stay and get other transportation back to the city. (The cab fare wasn't outrageous; less than getting to the airport.)

Easy to find meeting spot and bus to Versailles was air conditioned and comfortable. It was a very hot day so the skip the line part was perfect. However that is where the positive experiences ended. Within 10 mins we lost radio contact with our tour guide and had no way to find them. Unlike other guided tours I have been on, the guide did not wear anything to make it easy to find them, nor carry a small flag that could be easily seen above the crowds. This was so disappointing as we basically missed all the narrative. The only way to contact Paris City was an email address found on the ticket - sent an email right away to see if they could help reunite us with the guide - but never got any reply from them. We happened to bump into our guide just as they were finishing the tour and when we told them what happened they said the tour company wouldn't let them carry any sort of flag.
The gardens are beautiful but there was not nearly enough time allowed to explore them. This was advertised as a 5 hour tour starting at 2pm, yet we had to meet the tour bus by 5pm for 5:20 departure back to Paris. We arrived back at the starting point at 6 pm. Also, there is no "Fountains Show". There are fountains - I think only 4 of the larger ones operate in the summer but you'd likely only see them in operation by accident as they activate every 15 mins or so but the gardens are so big it would be very easy to miss the timing of the fountains. Versailles is beautiful and we will plan to go back on our own so we can have more time. This was not worth the $538 paid for 4 people.

A very disappointing and unprofessional tour. While other subgroups on our bus entered the palace, our group waited outside while our guide, Alexandro, chatted with people and wandered around for over an hour before bothering to give us our tickets and headsets and allow us to enter the palace. He then unapologetically rushed us through the palace tour, sprinkling in vague information as we went. While other groups with different guides may have had a different experience, spending your money here is certainly not worth the risk of having this person guide your tour.

We booked this tour at the last minute on our first arrival day in Paris and they managed to include us in the English half-day tour the next morning. Corrine was our guide and she was very thorough with the information and history of the palace providing a glimpse into the lives of the royalties, especially Louis XIV, Louis XV and the ill-fated couple Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette. It was a short tour of the important rooms and chambers of the huge palace. Since we visited at winter, the garden was not as colorful. But a short walking tour by Corrine was enough to give us an idea of the huge expanse of the gardens and its fountains and statues and would sparked our interest in another visit at a different time of the year. This is a great tour conducted by people who know the history and who love their culture. Thank you for a great day!

It was appallingly unseasonal weather of 17C with wind driven drizzle when we went. Our guide was fabulous and her knowledge of Versailles was outstanding. Unfortunately her microphone was often distorted in our headphones which made it difficult to understand her sometimes. The venue was very overcrowded making appreciating the amazingly beautiful palace and even moving, difficult. The gardens are totally beyond belief but the weather was a bit too extreme to explore them in depth which was just bad luck. So we retired to the “restaurant” were we found the most appalling food I think I have ever consumed in France and staff who had zero interest in serving customers other than taking their money. It was a wonder to see with my own eyes but I’m sure I would have a much better experience watching a documentary on Versailles on YouTube or the History Channel from the comfort of my own home!

This was not really worth the drive and the time. All the rooms are similar with different paintings of the kings and methodologies. We thought we could’ve been better if in this time we went to the Louvre because all what’s in the palace is different rooms with similar furniture. Don’t get me wrong of course the elegance and beauty is there in the way the marbles and paintings add they royal touch everywhere. But is it worth it during a short visit to Paris? I would say no. Also half the palace is under construction. The tour guide was very nice but was very low and the headset didn’t really help considering the crowds and many groups at the same time. The palace needs to be more organised in how they allow the groups despite the bookings.

Our tour started off in the typical way with a bunch of people trying to check in by name around one person with a clipboard. It seemed to be okay when we got a number and were sent to a bus to head off for our destination. Unfortunately that was not the case…we got to Versailles and were dropped off at the gates where we proceeded to wait in the rain for 25 minutes while our guide went in to get our tickets and headsets. We were then ushered into a dark lobby where he handed out headsets and then told us we would have a 10 minute bathroom break. Finally the tour began and we moved through the rooms in what seemed to be like a race for our guide. We moved through each room with a two minute unenthusiastic and dull explanation of what was there, no background , no little “fun facts” just a rote recitation of clearly the same spiel he gives every time. It never seemed like he enjoyed what he was doing or had any interest in being there. In fact he repeatedly said he had another tour he had to do after ours and before we headed back to Paris.
The tour lasted less than 45 minutes and at 10:40 we were told to meet our guide at the front gate at noon.
At this point were thankful to be able to go off on our own for a bit and we did enjoy exploring a couple of the rooms that we passed right by on the tour. We also had a wonderful visit to Angelina’s for drinks and pastries. We visited one of the gift shops and were headed for the gate just before noon…with no guidance as to how to exit the building (it was very deceiving to say the least as you must go to the right facing the parking lot), and so we arrived at the parking lot at 12:04 and our bus had left already! Two of our party had made it to the bus and one was almost closed in the door as she was getting on the bus, but when they asked about the other 3 of us they were told they had to go! Our family texted us the bus had left and where were we? We had been left behind! Thankfully we were able to catch another bus back to Paris but that was just by luck. Our guide was no where to be found and had told us to be at the meeting point at noon, not that the bus was leaving at 12:00 pm sharp. There was no consideration for the guests of this tour, it was clearly just get our money and that was it, move onto the next group. I understand that tours need to maintain a schedule but a small grace period for those paying at the gift shop or using the restroom isn’t a lot to ask. Sad to say I would not recommend this tour at all, find something else!

Isabel was a great tour guide. We learned so much about the palace and the people who lived there. Isabel was able to manage multiple crises and still give us a great tour and time to explore the gardens on our own. I do wish we had more time to explore the garden but it was very hot and we were delayed getting to the location (not the tour's fault; there was an accident on the road). The audio machines were helpful, although they would get staticky. If it is a very sunny day, I would recommend bringing umbrellas and sunhats so that you can enjoy the outdoors more. The palace is beautiful but the gardens are STUNNING. Pictures don't do it justice. You must see them in person. We met the bus and tour guides in a central location in Paris, and they did their best to start and end on time. Overall a great experience!

We toured with Julian on Friday 8:15am trip. Bus left around 8:30 after everyone was checked in and we entered Versailles at 9:30 shortly after arriving. The tour was great and informative with Julian. After the tour ended around 10:45 we had one hour on our own to visit additional rooms, the garden, gift shop and cafe. Bus left to go back to Paris at 11:50am. Recommend the tour and Julian to anyone that wants to visit Versailles.

I have a power wheelchair but can walk very short distances. It folds up like a stroller. Would I be able to take this tour?
Written 2 September 2022
I believe there is an elevator so once you get to the top floor you would then continue in your wheelchair to see everything.

Hi, I'm thinking of taking my 84 year old mum. She's fine to walk, she's just a little slow. Would this be a suitable tour for her?
Written 25 July 2022
I would say no. There's quite a bit of walking and a measure of urgency to see everything and finish the tour by a certain time so there's not a lot of resting time in between. Also as you move from room to room there's a throng of people and a general forward momentum from the crowd to move along which I think could possibly be overwhelming.
