We did this tour with the knowledge of occasional wine drinkers and are absolutely delighted! The guide (Remie) was amazing, and we can only recommend him. He answered every question, and due to the microphone in the Van, was able to give us very interesting background information on the region and sights of Bordeaux. The wine tasting and blending in the beginning was very well guided and entertaining. Our group was amazing, of course one can't influence this parameter, but we were six people from around the globe and they attributed to the fact that this will be something we will remember for a long time!

This tour is a must do when you are traveling to the beautiful city of Bordeaux. It is perfect for those with little to no knowledge, as well those who are seasoned in the wine world. Our day started with a wonderful lecture/tasting, followed by a delicious lunch and then off to tour two beautiful vineyards of St. Emilion. Our guide Remi was extremely knowledgable and able to answer any and all questions our group had. His english was very clear and his enthusiasm and passion made this day amazing. Would recommend this tour to anyone, it was truly a wonderful day. Plenty of wine and food provided all day long!

Thanks to Quentin we had amazing tour and day! He is very knowledgeable, we really enjoyed this experience from beginning to the end. The wines we've been presented were excellent, the charcuterie and sandwiches very tasty! Quentin is very passionate, enthusiastic, well prepared and speak English very well. We had 9h tour and he made it very relaxing and enjoyable, even though we have been to 3 vineyards and beautiful town St Emilion! Quentin showed us around St Emilion as well. We'd like to highly recommend this tour!

The morning wine tasting was excellent. Lots of learning and great conversation for wine enthusiasts of all experience. The lunch was a bit informal and light. The park was beautiful although would have liked some more thought into the lumch...blanket, fork, napkins, salad. Afternoin was nice in the wineries and Sant Emilion. Woukd have liked a few minutes to explore the small town though. Great experience all in all.

Recommend an itinerary and more details on what is next on tour. Fairly light on setting structure and expectations. A small sheet of paper or clear timeline would have been a great touch.

Our day started out with a lesson on how to distinguish between wines and it was unexpectedly informative. One of the coolest lessons on wine while drinking wine with a fabulous charcuterie. Our guide was passionate and spoke English very well. We then visited St. Emilion and tasted some delicious vino. We also got a tour of the old town there. This company was super accommodating and helpful as they also made suggestions and even helped call some wineries for the next day so my husband and I could go taste on our own. Thank you to all the staff that made our trip to Bordeaux so memorable!

We did the Wine Discovery Day which was excellent value at EUR 139pp, including morning at the (lovely) Bordovino apartment doing a tasting class, lunch, and then visit to two chateau and St Emilion village itself.

Jerome was a great guide, very informative and happy to answer any questions and also generous with the pours! Came away with some useful materials and tasting notes. The chateau visits were great - one was a larger operation with more formal visitor centre and the other was a smaller operation so good to see two different types of wine production and taste their wares.

We must have tried at least 10 wines (plus top ups!), together with a board of cheese, chocolate, nuts and saucisson for tasting both during the morning and afternoon, as well as quiche, salad, bread and dessert for lunch.

Really enjoyed it and would recommend Bordovino as professional and value for money.

We had a free day during our ships three days in Bordeaux and thought this small group tour with Bordovino sounded like fun. As others have mentioned, easily one of the highpoints of our stay here. Our meeting place was a beautiful apartment set up as a 'Tasting and Education Lab'. When we arrived at 10:30 and were greated by our tour guide and educator Val, with a glass of wine in his hand, I knew we were in the right place. We were escorted in and introduced to the other members of our eight member group for the day. For the next two and a half hours, we were educated about the regional wine appalations of France, the grapes they grew, tasting notes of each, and what to expect when we opened a bottle. We then tasted numerous bottles of different varietals and specific mixes to educate our palates. At the end we were given an 'exam' where we were given four different wines, and by using what we had learned, had to say where each had been produced. Amazingly, we all passed.
We were then fed a wonderful Quiche and Green Salad lunch with a glass of wine and told about plans for the rest of the day. Over 5 hours later, two Chateau tours and tastings and a personal tour of beautiful St. Emilion, we were dropped at our ship to complete our day. I have to say that Val was a wonderful teacher and guide. Warm, friendly, obviously extremely educated about wine and our toured area, and perfect to make the day the great experience that it was. All I can say is 'Thank You'. Do this trip with Val if you have the chance. I can assure you that It too will be a highpoint of your time in Bordeaux.

I had a brilliant day learning all about different Bordeaux wine and styles - and we even got to taste the different styles side-by-side as well see how much they change when the styles are blended together.

Bordovino put on a delicious light lunch for us all that soaked up some of the morning's wine and got us ready for the afternoon!

We traveled to St Emillion and had a walk around the village as well as visited a number of chateaus where it was fascinating to see how wine is made by the different chateaus - and seeing how different each chateua was from each other.

Cannot recommend this tour enough and the team at Bordovino were absolutely fantastic!
