So while visiting Waterford we went into the Medieval Museum where we spoke to Gillian (assistant) so while buying a ticket which would have cost €10 euros per person she explained that for €15.00 per person we could buy a three month pass which would gain us access to the following places,
1. Irish Silver Museum
2. Irish Museum of Time.
3. Bishops Palace
5. Medieval Museum
6. 40 minutes walking tour of the medieval quarter
It was a fabulous day of enjoyment and would highly recommend the full pass.

I visited this museum with my husband. The lady at the desk told us about the €15 museum pass that gave entry to four museums one hour walking tour. She allowed us to take a quick peek while waiting for the walking tour to start and then come back the next day to visit again using the pass. The building was used very creatively to display the treasures and exhibits. Highlights included the gold vestments and ancient title deeds and documents on parchment scrolls. The Covid protocols were very thorough and clear. Could not recommend it highly enough. It was obviously a labor of love for the excellent and friendly guides and docents.

No need to worry about lines and DO purchase the Freedom Pass ticket which gives you admission to most of the museums in the Medieval Triangle. It’s only a few Euros more than the single ticket price and you get to see all the important places. All of the staff are welcoming and wonderful. We were there on a Sunday, so basically had few other tourists and could take our time. We also were glad we went to the Bishop’s Palace which is not at all what we thought it would be. We had a wonderful re-enactor perform as the housekeeper to guide us on our tour. So much richer to experience the house this way! I loved the Silver Museum and my husband and I both enjoyed the Time Museum. Thank you to the wonderful staff!

Such an enjoyable experience. The tour guide was super knowledgeable, witty and ready to answer questions about the history of Waterford. He made the experience feel special and it truly felt like an insider's view into the history of the city. I'd highly recommend getting the tour - the tour guide really knew his stuff and had a great personality. He wore his visor at all times and all the visitors wore masks and socially distanced so I had no fears about Covid-19.

We had a lovely time on our staycation on this tour. I didn’t catch the tour guides name but he was really informative, witty and entertaining and everyone on the tour enjoyed themselves. The priest robes are amazing, well worth a visit. Fantastic to be able to discover some museums and galleries within Ireland, places like this have made me really appreciate what we have here.

This was a lovely medieval museum with some very well-preserved artefacts, paintings, and garments. We were lucky to have a free guided tour, which was quite informative. However, our tour guide was a bit excessive, going off on a tangent in far too many instances. The 15th-century wine vault was impressive to see!

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. He conveyed passion for the local history. He brought up challenging topics from history and shared how the population changed over time to be more accepting and supportive of people from other views and affiliations. He inspired us as he informed us!

A well laid out space, where you’re not overwhelmed with museum fatigue. Tells the history and the story of medieval Waterford fantastically. It only had one bathroom (literally 1) so beware of this if you are uncomfortable with. Also, the app they tell you to download and you can scan objects or little pictures on the walls totally did not work for us. Spent most of the visit frustrated with it, but there is loads of interpretation around so you don’t feel lost. A true gem, would recommend.

Really informative, interesting and funny tour explaining the history of Ireland's oldest city. The tour guide was amazing, incredibly witty with lots of interesting facts and really great knowledge. The ornamental vestments were a highlight and one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen in my life. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the city or even someone wanting to do a but of tourism in their own city!

Thank you for coming to see the award winning Medieval Museum, we really appreciate you taking the time to come and visit and for leaving us such a wonderful review.
The guided tour is definitely the best way to see and hear all about the medieval period here in Ireland's oldest city, Waterford. All of our guides, love the interaction with our guests and they have so many stories and tales to tell which help develop the medieval story with all of the artefacts and exhibits here in the museum.
Thank you for giving us five stars and for the 'Highly recommended' tag in your review, we really appreciate it.
We'd love to see you again!
