I was undecided which museum to visit and I opted for Hunt museum. It’s the personal, eclectic collection of John and Gertrude Hunt across 3 levels. The staff are knowledgeable - thank you Mike.

Its a well kept older building which adds a lot of charm to the exhibition, personally I found 12,50 per adult a bit much for what you get to see. I have been in many museums over the years and while I appreciate keeping local history alive I think its a little expensive for what you get.

Well worth the small admission price this museum is full of history from unusual and local places. The volunteers were very knowledgeable about the items as they told stories and history about what we were seeing. I was especially impressed with their efforts to mage the exhibit items “see-able” to those with vision impairments. Detailed replicas of the items are available to touch and feel along with audio explanations. Look for the Picasso that is easily missed!

What an experience! Wonderful artifacts and very interesting display. We also had a knowledgeable and curious docent. She helped us enjoy the experience for two hours and was included in admission.

If in Limerick be sure to spend a few hours in this amazing museum! Though small when thinking of museums, their collection was extensive, impressive and just amazing! I also enjoyed lunch in the cafe and was approached by a docent who shared more details on the exhibit I was viewing at the time. Every staff member was friendly and the exhibits were beautifully presented and explained. Don't miss this museum - it's small, but mighty!

Excellent museum. I really enjoyed my 2 hours at The Hunt. Set across three floors, it's the perfect size, small enough to be homely and doable, big enough to keep you engaged. There's a ceramic exhibition in the basement to start with a good virtual reality show and a superb ineractive world map. As you continue there's such an eclectic mix. There are Jack B Yeats paintings, a Picasso and other world masters. The Captain's Room is especially striking. Then there are archaeological treasures from early Christians back through the Viking age, Iron Age and earlier. It's actually hard to describe the variety of exhibits and so many eclectic and niche items. I really loved it, €12 cheap at the price. Nice coffee shop a d gift shop. No parking on site but plenty of places in nearby streets. Easily walkable from King John's Castle and the High Street shopping area.

We had read about this small musuem housed in the historic Customs House, and it did not disappoint. Our only regret is that we could have spent far more time there than we had. Highly recommnded.

Had some extra time in Limerick so went to this museum. Consist of 3 floor with mostly old artifacts from Irleland and the area.

Passing by we decided to visit this well-known Limerick landmark. Senior rates are available. Reception told us that a free tour had just begun and we said we'd join it. What a great decision that turned out to be. Brendan, our guide was super knowledgeable in all areas of the exhibition. He made the visit for us.

Looking forward to visiting this museum but sadly checked website after trip advisor said open & it doesn’t open Mondays so never got to go.

I toured the Hunt Museum during the A Wild Atlantic Way exhibition. The exhibition was definitely the highlight and showcased some amazing pieces. However, I enjoyed the rest of the museum, too. I found the docents to be very friendly and knowledgeable.

The museum was amazing, the art is something you must see. The staff was so great the were exactly helpful and happy, Eamonn was so nice and and helpful he greeted us at the door and showed the first room and explained the history of the collectors.

The first visit here, many years ago, was somewhat rushed. Fortunately, not this time. Also had the benefit of two terrific tour guides. St. Mary's Cathedral and the Limerick Museum were both closed on the day, but the Hunt did'nt disappoint.

I have ben to the museum on a number of occasions. They are warm and friendly and welcome the art lover together with casual visitor. There's always an interesting exhibition to see as well as the more permanent exhibits. And when you have finished you can have a coffee or a tasty lunch in the museum's café - with views over the River Shannon.
