Definitely recommended for family and solo travellers. The upcoming months should be the best time. - 936zhenn0 contributionsFantastic Day Trip from LimerickFantastic trip and this is highlight of our trip in Ireland. We had an awesome guide who was entertaining the whole way. Beautiful weather, probably the best day since we got here. Only regret is not being able to get to Skellig Michael due to the season. Would love to do this again or hike the Killarney National Park when it’s warmer!Written 4 January 2024
- Devon G0 contributionsBroken PA system/poor customer serviceI was schedule to go on the Ring of Kerry tour on October 12th. When the bus arrived we were informed that both the PA system and radio were not working. Someone was supposed to meet the bus at that location to fix it, but did not come so there would be no sound for the entire tour. We were told there should not be a problem with getting a refund if we got off the bus, so we did. I sent an email immediately to the company explaining the situation and requested a refund. I did not receive a response after 10 days, so I called the company and was told it had been elevated to management and was again assured that it would not be a problem to get a refund. Over the next 3 weeks I did not receive any response to my initial email for a request for follow-up. I called today (6 weeks after the initial incident) and was told the matter was concluded and there would be no refund. They were unable to provide the service that was purchased and did not seem to make much of an effort to fix the PA system for the tour. It is very poor customer service to ignore emails and tell a customer verbally they will receive a refund and then change their mind with no communication to the customer.Written 22 November 2023

- Farah P0 contributionsExcellent tour of the Dingle PeninsulaExcellent tour. Pick up in Arthur’s Quay in Limerick, stop in Killarney to pick up passengers, then off to Dingle Peninsula in an air-conditioned bus with USB ports for charging phones. Time at Inch Beach, Killarney, and Dingle, as well as many stops for taking photos along the way. Absolutely gorgeous vistas. Must see in Ireland!Written 9 July 2023
- fischelsbr0 contributionsGreat Day Trip to DinglePaudie was an excellent guide on our trip to Dingle! This was a marvelous day with a stop in Killarney to shop (the Woolen Mills, jewelry shops, and a music shop were our favs). Dingle was delightful! We didn't make lunch reservations, and even though it was later than usual for lunch, Dingle was a hopping place. We ended up at The Boatyard (no wait) and our food was upscale and very tasty. Dingle was gorgeous and Paudie made sure we stopped for great "photo ops" along the way. We even stopped at Inch Beach to enjoy the ocean and refreshments. Every place we went Paudie had great advice to maximize our time. This was a great trip!Written 24 June 2023
- k p0 contributionsPoor serviceVery poor service. Paddywagon rescheduled my 21 June tour to 22 June. And never notified me the new date was also canceled. I waited for the tour bus for over an hour, trying to contact paddywagon tours via phone, email and Facebook with no response. Only when another tour bus arrived was I rudely told my ring of Kerry tour was canceled and to contact viator. No apology for the lack of contact, just she couldn’t help me because I booked through a third party. I went into the office and Kerrie at least offered to reschedule again and apologized that my tour was canceled because we were the only 2 scheduled. She did have my email and was about to respond. This was after 9 am my tour was scheduled for 8 am. Paddywagon should have a representative at the tour location when the tour is scheduled. 2 days prior we had the 9 am tour and it was 1 1/2 hours late and no representative was around. Multiple people were calling and emailing. TripAdvisor wasn’t much better. They still sent texts and emails with the original date. No way to to contact them or send a complaint. I will get a refund but I lost the entire day I had been looking forward to.Written 23 June 2023

- johnmP2677UA0 contributionsGreat trip! Made the best of the weather.Paudie was an excellent bus driver/tour guide, and made the trip a lot of fun! Although some of the views were hampered by some afternoon fog, we did get to experience the more typical Irish view of the peninsula.Written 12 June 2023

Driver arrived over an hour late and only then were we informed the bus started with a pickup in Cork. Driver was nice but there was little commentary throughout the trip (about 75% of the time we rode in silence minus the occasional singing). All stops were cut down in time and there was no compensation for something that was entirely their fault. No stop at Doolin, instead late lunch at Liscanor. Would not use this tour company nor recommend. It added insult to injury that we paid full price for a tour that was cut by about 1/4 for a once in a lifetime experience.

We arrived 45 minutes early in Limerick and checked in the Paddywagon office. We were told to wait across the street for tour bus marked Paddywagin tours at the city bus area. Different buses came and went. When no paddy wagon bus had come after 10 minutes past pick up time we went back to office to inquire. We were told the bus had already come and gone. It had been an unmarked plain white bus . Not the color ful paddy wagon bus with logo in all the pictures that we were told to look for. We then remembered seeing this bus . The driver did not hold up a a sigh, announce his tour or even approach us or call out names. He just had stood for a moment and drove off. We couldn’t believe how unprofessional and that no effort was made on his part to contact his 4 passengers . He wouldn’t come back for us so we were out the cost and out of a tour.

I would consider this purely as transportation to the Cliffs, rather than a tour. The driver was pleasant and made a little commentary here and there, but the bus did not stop at Bunratty Castle or Doolin, as advertised on the website. The Burren was a 5 minute stretch of the legs. I believe they should update the website to indicate the lunch stop in Liscanoor and that Bunratty is only time allowing dependent on traffic. My bus was only 8 minutes late in Limerick and seats were whatever remained since the bus originated in Cork, where the majority boarded. The lunch stop is at a friendly cafeteria style cafe with minimal communal seating called John P. Holland Centre that was very crowded (2 tour buses) but apparently efficient. Instead, to avoid the crowd, I walked 3 minutes to a nearby pub that was able to get me in and out quickly with a delicious soup and chips. The port to charge your cell phone only worked on one side of the bus. Overall, if you need easy transportation to the cliffs, this is it, but if you have another less expensive or more personalized option, then skip the tour.

The driver-guide was friendly but more like a driver who just talked to the passengers. It's hard to call him a guide. He gave some factual information and tried to make us laugh, but he was not a guide in the complete sense. An hour and a half on the cliffs of Moher was not enough. Instead, we stopped to see Bunratty Castle, which had a paid entrance, and we only had 20 minutes, so no one went there. So we didn't see it. It's not clear why we had to go there.
We were taken to a restaurant with a good atmosphere but nothing special in terms of food.
All in all, a pleasant experience, but not enough time on the cliffs of Moher.

This tour omitted the very segments that especially interested us — in particular, the Burren and the coastal drive. Instead, we drove straight to the Cliffs of Moher, retraced our route to Liscannor for lunch, then continued retracing our route to Bunratty and then back to Limerick, arriving about 3:45 instead of the advertised 4:30 return.
I feel cheated. This tour seemed to be the only practical opportunity for us, as seniors on holiday in Limerick without a car, to experience some of the Burren. I would not have booked this tour had I known that the only significant attraction would be the Cliffs of Moher. (The pause at Bunratty hardly counts. I know a shopping stop when I see one.)
I asked Paddywagon for at least a partial refund and was refused, even after pointing out that their website continues to include the Burren in the tour description. Our driver said that tour bus licenses for the Burren were pulled several weeks ago, so the company is knowingly engaging in false advertising.
Would have given just one star, but the driver and bus were great and deserve credit for the day not being a complete writeoff.
The walk at the Cliffs of Moher was very nice, but the visitor center was a dark, chaotic, claustrophobic mess. Somehow everyone made it work and got what they needed, but I was glad to escape back into the open air.

The Cliffs were fantastic and the views breathtaking. I’ve wanted to see the Cliffs for years and finally was able to do so on a clear day. The lunch stop was great and so was the Burren. Bunratty was ok. The tour was advertised for 8 hrs. We left at 0930 from Limerick and were back by 1600, so it was a bit short. There was also no stop in Doolin. The driver held a very tight timeline and was actually going to leave with 3 people missing from the bus. He pulled away and passengers saw them running so he stopped. He was not happy about it. Do NOT be late getting back to the bus!

We did a few tours during our time in Ireland with different operators and they were all great expect this one. The bus arrived almost 30 minutes late and that made each stop after pretty tense. The driver was very strict on everyone arriving back to the bus not even a minute late otherwise he would leave people stranded. In one of the stops we made it back to the bus at the exact minute he asked and he still made a snide remark. The bus was also quite old and gritty. I wouldn't recommend this operator if you have alternate ones available.

I booked the Cliffs of Moher and Wild Atlantic Way trip from Limerick through a third party. They didn't operate the itinerary advertised on the third party website, skipping out what should have been the most interesting part. The driver claimed this was because authorities had issued new restrictions on where coaches could turn around. The driver extended the stop in Bunratty, but even with an extended stop it was too short to visit the castle. Arrived back in Limerick 1.5 hours earlier than scheduled due to the omitted parts of the tour. I contacted Paddywagon with feedback and they refused to accept any responsibility for failing to operate the tour as advertised. The person who responded to my feedback has very poor customer service skills. He replied like he wanted to start an argument with me and even called me the wrong name.

We had planned a two day stay in Limerick, just so my wife could see the cliffs of Moher. We booked with Paddy wagon days ahead and met at the stop early. The bus showed up late, and was already full of people who had gotten on in Cork. They had overbooked the trip by 6 people, and two couples, along with us, were left on the sidewalk. We spent the rest of the day on multiple public buses to get out to the cliffs on our own. This is no way to run a tour company. Stick with Finn McCool, we had a much better time with them.

The bus was an hour late (in Limerick) and nobody told us/informed us until we started to hysterically call the other offices as the local PWagon office wasn't open. Tour was supposed to start at 9 and finish at 5pm, instead it started at 10 and finished at 4pm. The driver and the guide was OK though, I would've appreciated a bit more info generally about the sites we were visiting and about Ireland itself.
