      Hidden Gem in Kilkenny
One of the oldest inn’s in Ireland. Site to first witch hunt in Europe. Cute atmosphere located on an adorable street off the main road. Lamb stew and Goat Cheese tart were amazing. The lemon pesto that came with the tart was delicious. Nice variety of whisky to choose from. Have several flights you can try. Did the Spot flight that had green, yellow, and red spot.

We popped in for a drink and to listen to that night’s music, stayed for more drinks because the music was so good.
Great music, food was okay, but you’re not there for the food, you’re here for the music, drinks and comradeship. Go, just go and enjoy!

Wonderful time doing both the Whiskey Tasting and the Irish Coffee tasting
My husband and I came for the Irish Coffee tasting and had such a great time we asked to add on the whiskey tasting. Highly recommend Both! JD is such a wonderful host and knows a lot about coffee, whiskey and Kyteler's. Will definitely stop by again the next time we are in Kilkenny.

      Yes, it's a great pub.
Awesome pub with interesting history. Bangers and mash are amazing. A pint of the relatively new Witches Brew is spot on in the Irish brewing favorites, perfectly balanced between a stout and a lager. A must have experience ehile in or around Kilkenny.

      Physically assaulted by staff
My mom and I were with a bus tour. Royal Irish Tours. It was recommended to come check out this bar. Let’s note that comments had been made the entire tour, especially in Belfast, that Ireland is the only place in the world you can go and listen to live music without expecting to buy a drink. We went in and notice many ppl standing so assuming that it’s just like all the other places we had been in where standing room only with live music. We had listened to one whole song and we’re deciding if we were to stay. Even if we were not staying my intentions were to tip ($) the band in good spirit. A server aggressively came up to us demanding we buy a drink or get out. He then used his body to physically push me out the door way and trapped my mom in to call her rude many times over. He was shouting at us and physically assaulted me. I was scared and left very upset. This man was physical with me, a woman and extremely aggressive. I put in a complaint to our tour and he called but the coward decided not to return the call. I do not recommend here. If we were men it would have never happened like that and he would not have PUSHED me using his hands and body.

      Necessary Stop
What a great place. First, we had dinner upstairs. The food was great and the atmosphere was very nice. Then, we went down to the garden bar to listen to some fantastic traditional Irish music. Downstairs was packed and it was hard to get a seat, but it was well worth it. It is obvious why it was so crowded.

      Excellent Dining
Busy place but delicious food and well worth the wait. The staff were rushing about and yet had time to be kind and cheerful. Thank goodness the noise level was down when we visited.

Irish folk music and good atmosphere
Went here for beer and irish music, and it delivered. Great music and busy bar with friendly partying people. Also have disco in basement and more calm areas.

      Get a new chef
It was absolutely awful. Visited here with our daughters and grandsons on a Sunday out. No problem with the staff they were friendly and efficient. The food was terrible. Ordered cajun chickens pannins which were soggy the chicken was boiled and tough as for cajun some kind of sauce was thrown over them not cajun. Chips were frozen and some not edible. 2 of us had the roast said it was nice but for the price charged it could've been a bigger portion. Will definitely not recommend or be returning, I'd say it's only the friendly staff that people go in for so kudos to them.

      Shocking food.
Interior looks excellent. Staff excellent. Food terrible. Fish and chips, frozen fish, cheap frozen chips, peas in ramekin spooned directly from tin have not encountered as bad previously. Salad sandwich white and flattened and cut in half thrown together. Expected better.

      Wonderful Evening!
We had a wonderful evening that included lamb stew, fish & chips, and roast beef. The appetizer was fast, as was the main course. Our waiters worked to get our food promptly. Pro: - good food - fasts service - good price Cons: - staff seems unhappy - service lacked - poor attitude We would go back, but the wait staff needs to put on a “happy” face, or maybe the management needs to change!

      Fun pub— great music
We popped in here looking for beer, whiskey, music, and a witch. Got the first 3 but never saw a witch. Fun place, staff were nice, plenty of seating in the back room and a good selection of Smithwicks and other beers. Writers Tears whiskey too.

One of the Oldest Pubs in Ireland
The pub is beautiful inside with a covered Beer Garden. The menu is a mix of sandwiches, burgers and traditional Irish food. My lamb stew was good and my wife liked her burger. Service was good even though it was crazy-busy. Worth a stop.

I am so glad to have booked this tour. Was a real highlight of our visit to Kilkenny. Everyone loved the coffee and will be trying it at home.
The owner was friendly and so entertaining. Plus the history of the Kytelers Inn makes this a must due if visiting Kilkenny.
