A wonderful way to learn a bit about Kilkenny and Irish history in general, including the dark bits. Sharon, who also works at the local museum, was our guide. She was delightfully engaging, informative and enthusiastic as we walked through the streets and alleys of Kilkenny. So fun to know a bit of history about the place as we spent the next few days there. Highly recommended and such a deal!

What a fantastic tour of Kilkenny! The tour guide, Sharon, was so full of life and passion and was an excellent story teller and clearly knew Kilkenny and Irish history incredibly well. It was just my partner and I for our tour time and she still went forward with it, which made it even more special. We highly recommend this tour - perfect mix of history and spookiness.

We had a great time with our wonderful guide Sharon. We were not looking for a crazy, spooky tour but very much interested in the (dark) history of Kilkenny. Sharon made our wish come true. She had such a vast knowledge of the whole history of Kilkenny and Ireland as a whole. We would very much recommend this tour for people interested in history combined with a bit of humour and cynism 😀

Sharon was brilliant with the history, stories, and ability to provide feedback on our extensive questions. She showed up even though it was raining and we ended up being the only couple to show for the tour. It is amazing the difference between self guided tours and a tour from a tour guide who is knowledgeable, personable, and very passion about history/culture. Thank You Sharon - Paul/Colleen

Our tour was fun, pleasant and interesting experience. We did this tour on our first night in Kilkenny and it helped highlight some of the places we should visit during our stay. It’s a dark history tour and is only 60-75 minutes. It’s not too much walking as you stop at certain spots to hear dark historical stories. This is a great way to get acquainted with the city.

If you're on the fence, go on this tour! Even if you're not on the fence you should still go on this tour. I don't always find history interesting, but Sharon's complete enthusiasm, engaging storytelling, and infinite knowledge about Kilkenny made for a fantastic evening. We learned much about the last ~1000 years of Ireland but also what's current with Kilkenny because Sharon is from there. A definite highlight of our trip around Ireland and would highly recommend if anyone I knew was headed to Kilkenny.

Lots of history (more history than ghosts) which was fine with us. Our guide was on-time, friendly, easily answered any question about Ireland, Kilkenny...or ghosts! It was fun, one hour walking tour and I highly recco it.

We loved this tour!! It was a fantastic introduction to Kilkenny and its history. Just the right amount of time and level of detail. Our tour guide was amazing. Funny, dramatic, entertaining, and so much fun. It was so much fun to learn the dark history of Kilkenny and visit all the interesting sights. I'd highly recommend.

I'm travelling alone and am in Kilkenny only for one night. I first saw that it was minimum two people to book so I didn't.
