My husband & I were travelling throughout Ireland with our tour group with Gate 1 Travel and we stopped in Kilkenny for a morning break before heading on to Dublin for several days.
Most of the group purchased tickets to ride the Kilkenny City Train hosted by our guide & driver, Paul. Oh, what a sly character he was! Sly in a good way and a big flirt! He flirted with the older ladies in our group and told some hilarious jokes prior to our departure.
The City Tour started at Kilkenny Castle and lasted for 30 minutes.
While on board we heard about the fastinating insight into the history of Kilkenny.

We did this tour as part of a scenic rail tour to Waterford and Kilkenny. We had a fold up wheel chair and driver had no problem putting chair in back. Davey our driver was funny, knowledgeable and kind.
Highly recommend as a way to ride around.
They also have photos posted on their website for free download if you don’t get the perfect snap of any of the sites.

Kilkenny is a small town that can be toured primarily on foot. But don't miss the fun of riding this train (or street trolly) across town to see the sites. The gentleman who runs the train is a wonderful story-teller and really makes for a fun adventure. We got on this tour in front of the Kilkenny castle. Entire tour is 30 min or so.

Visited Kilkenny on a Trafalgar tour and on a free morning had the opportunity to enjoy a tour on a tourist road train led by Paul Matthews. He was so funny we couldn’t stop laughing. This happened before he drove us around Kilkenny on a very interesting half hour tour. Well done Paul , incredibly entertaining.

The O’Neill Centre Enable Ireland Kilkenny had 2 fantastic trips on the Kilkenny City Tours with our preschool children.
Ivan and Paul were very accommodating and helpful when we were booking taking all our needs into consideration, including going to the trouble of turning down the music so that the children were at their ease and enjoyed the experience. During our tour of Kilkenny Paul encouraged people to wave as we passed which added to the fun and excitement for the children some of whom have never been on a train before.
The storage area for buggies, bags and lunches meant we could plan a full day out with the children.
They made this fun tour of Kilkenny a very enjoyable and memorable experience for both the children and staff. We will most definitely do it again next year. Thank you very much Ivan and Paul from the staff and children in Enable Ireland, Kilkenny.

I highly recommend taking a tour on this road train around Kilkenny, whether you are a tourist or a local. It's a great way to learn about history and it's good fun. Paul is so entertaining, we all laughed so much! And Paul is great with all ages - not only entertaining but a great tour all around. Highly recommended!!!

We did the Kilkenny City Tour with the lil train and massive teddy who sat in the passenger seat. It was very good. It's half hour long but we got to see the sights of Kilkenny. Defo recommend it. Good laugh.

We had lots of craic with Paul on the Kilkenny City Tours. Paul was very witty, informative and enthusiastic. Giving us so many interesting tidbits about Kilkenny and a map of the city when the tour was over. People were calling out to him as we drove by made you feel you were so welcomed in Kilkenny. Highly recommend would of loved to have had more time with Paul and his enthusiastic and very interesting stories. Thank you Paul for such a warm welcome to Kilkenny. You are always welcome to come visit Canada 🇨🇦

Jumped on the train after seeing the castle for about an hour. Our driver was crazy funny and really added to the experience.....you can tell he really likes his job. Drove around the city for about 20 min and listened to a pre-recorded audio about various parts of the city. Well worth doing.

After walking around Kilkenny and the castle for hours we decided to try the little train. Paul was our driver and guide. The tour started with a couple of jokes and lots of laughter. Paul kept us all amused and informed during the tour which went smoothly, as he has a knack for being humorous, informative and friendly even with people in the crowds of pedestrians. Probably the most fun you can have with your pants on.

I don’t know, but if you google Kilkenny city tours you will get their email address. In the picture it is the yellow train.
Is this a pay once for a day, hop off at various locations and hop on to the next, etc?
