Highly recommend the McCarthys for this activity. Damien was a wonderful guide. The carts are covered and when the rain began to blow, he was able to close the sides to protect us from the rain.. This is an excellent way to see the park.

If I could give Damien and his horse Molly ten stars I would. Damien couldn’t have been nicer or friendlier and he provided so much information about the park and its history, as well as some Irish history as well. The park itself is indescribably beautiful. I had high expectations and both Damien and the park exceeded them a hundred fold. Everywhere you look the beauty of the park is breathtaking. As soon as you think you’ve seen it all there is more beauty around the bend. 100% must do. Be sure to ask for Damien!

Amazing trip around Killarney National Park. The weather was great and the views were stunning. Damien our driver was a fantastic knowledgeable guide and took the time to stop along the way so we could take photos and admire the views.
Molly was such a lovely sweet horse and we were very happy to see Damien taking such good care of her, letting her go at her own pace, leaving other jaunting cars pass! Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

We had the most amazing time haunting with our guide, Damien! We saw all sorts of wildlife, learned about the regions history and he even took some wonderful family pictures for us. Even with a storm coming, it was a comfortable, gorgeous experience that we would highly recommend if you’re in the area. We would definitely do it again!

Fabulous tour around the lake! Damien was an excellent guide sharing the history of the area and pointing out key spots of interest and stopping for a great photo with Ross castle in the background. He also gave great advice for other parts of our trip that really helped us after we left Killarney. Highly recommend!

The McCarthys have a family history on this land running back centuries and they used that family history and knowledge to provide a witty and informative tour. This was a highlight not only of our stay in Killarney, but of our entire visit to Ireland. Can’t recommend enough!

This was a wonderful way to see Killarney National Park and also benefit from a knowledgeable, articulate guide who had grown up in and was connected with the area. He knew all the places to stop and get the best pictures of the beautiful scenery. The entire family was so welcoming. I can’t imagine a better way to see this magnificent place!

We booked a jaunting car tour for Saturday, April 27th with McCarthys based on online reviews. It far exceeded our expectations. Damien, our guide/driver, was friendly, polite and knowledgeable. We enjoyed talking with him and would highly recommend McCarthy Killarney carriage rides.

This is a fun experience and will give you opportunities to get some photographs of Ross castle reflected in the lake that you could not get unless you took a long hike through the park. The drivers are all very entertaining and knowledgeable about the area, the park and the sites. The entire ride takes less than an hour.

Damien and Molly were superstars on our trip today, 26 October. Damien was very knowledgeable not only about the geography, but of the history of some of the sites that we were able to view. He was funny, witty, and helped us with whatever he could, including taking pictures of us in the middle and end of the ride. Molly (the horse) was absolutely wonderful and let us scratch her behind the ear.
I hope Damien reaches out to us soon as we hope to buy him a Guinness and a local beer when he travels abroad again. Thanks again, Damien! We owe you!
