My two boys got to use the ropes to assist the horse whilst on our travels and it was their favourite thing to do on the holiday. - Louis1422100Wonderful TourHighly recommend the McCarthys for this activity. Damien was a wonderful guide. The carts are covered and when the rain began to blow, he was able to close the sides to protect us from the rain.. This is an excellent way to see the park.
- susavenhe00Nice path, good guideThis was a peaceful ride in the Muckross House park. We began by the Torc waterfall and went through the park and saw Muckross House. The guide was excellent. He could tell about the history of the house and the park and the foundation of the national park. He also knew a lot about the plants and the animals and could answer our questions in general. He left us in the parking place where we had left our car in the morning. This was money well spent (60 e/hour/family), and the horse Bailey was sweet. We could have stayed in the Muckross House gardens for a while and walk around there and then continue with horse but we chose not to. It was ok for the guide.

I booked this tour through trip advisor for myself and my mother. We were collected from our hotel by a lovely young man who introduced himself as Damien and his beloved horse Molly . He took us through Killarney national park at a lovely easy pace, showed us some amazing views and explained the history of the lakes and buildings . We had time to stop off and take photographs where he used this time to feed and check on his horse . The tour was everything I hoped it would be . I would highly recommend this company if looking to book a jaunting cart during your stay. The next time I book Killarney I will be definitely be using the same company once again.

Damien our guide was Great! Provided lots of information and great conversation. It was raining our entire time in killarney, and this was a perfect little trip to see some of the park while also getting out of the rain for a bit. We were also greeted with blankets to keep us warm during our ride. Molly our horse was Beautiful and knew what she was doing(she doesn't like pot holes or puddles).

We were eyeing up a carriage trip and bumped into Damian and Molly. So glad we took the opportunity to do something like this. We were not long in killarney and everyone was tired from a day on the road travelling, but after we had fulfilled our promise to the kids of ice cream, we saw the beautiful Molly with her carriage and we came over to say Hi, Damian was super friendly and told the kids all about his horse (and the cows where their ice cream came from 😉).
We decided to seize the opportunity and go for a tour. So glad we did it there and then as Damian was a wealth of knowledge on all things Kerry and had some great tips for our few days plans and what to do and where to stop in etc.
Damian is passionate about his horse, family business and all things Kerry. A gent, and the kids felt comfortable right away. He even stopped to show our daughter the horse with the blue eye along the way.
The park is fantastic, I feel all setup for our next few days and know what I really want to see more of. The carriage was clean, with gel available. Being outdoors and seizing the rain free moment was great. Although Damian ensured us that he had umbrellas for the light drizzle and the carriage was a convertible if it got worse. We were happy to be in fresh Killarney air.
Beautiful spot complimented greatly by a knowledgeable tour and friendly tour guide. Keep up the great work!

My wife and I went on this tour on a Sunday morning. Martin met us exactly where they told us to meet. He was 5 minutes early and clearly knew who we were because he addressed us by name. The carriage was very comfortable and a pleasure to ride in. Martin is a lifelong resident of the Killarney area and he is a great storyteller! He entertained us the entire tour with stories of the local history of the area and of his ancestors. He also used my camera to take pictures of us at different places. He suggested some places to visit after our tour and he was spot on. It was areal pleasure to meet Martin and we absolutely recommend their tours. You can’t go wrong!

The trip around the park was absolutely beautiful! We were shown the lakes and the mountains, along with being given lots of local history and knowledge.
The tour guide (Damien) was great as he knew a lot about the area and was very friendly. The kids loved him!

Gorgeous ride through the park. Damien was our guide and he was very informative, gave us a lot of history and some great recommendations for other places to visit. He was already really funny. He let us feed Maggie at the end of the tour, which the kids absolutely loved. I would highly recommend this tour. He stopped, so we could take plenty of pics, and he took a few so we could get"one for the mantle". The teens said, "He was awesome," which is the highest rating a teen can give.

It was a lovely ride, all the locations and vistas were amazing. The park was gorgeous and the elderly man who guided us through the whole tour and took photos was very very kind to us.
It was the first time me and my fiancee were in Killarney, that was in November 2021, and I remember it was a cloudy and windy day. We went to Killarney to stay at the glamping site and when we got to town and found out about the tour, we knew we had to give it a go.
We were probably one of the only couple to take the tour that day.
Later that day, We even saw and waved at the man who had taken us to the tour.
It was amazing. That made our short visit to Killarney even better. It's a day we won't forget.
I don't know if that kind elderly man will ever see this review, but if you do, thank you very much for that unforgettable tour.
Those two Brazilians on that quiet day of November were me (Marcos), and my fiancee (Ana).

My wife and I took our 3 grown children and daughter in law for a carriage ride in Killarney National Park with Damien as our host and Molly pulling the carriage. Damien was a wealth of knowledge and taught us a lot about the local history of Killarney. He was very easy to talk to and I honestly don’t think I’ve ever had a more friendly and funny tour guide! In addition to that when we told him that we were heading to Ballyvaughn later that day he told us to check out a local hotel in Ballyvaughn that had the best views around. He also suggested we travel along the Wild Atlantic Way to get to Ballyvaughn as the views were spectacular. Well he was right on both accounts and we would have missed them both if it weren’t for him. And Molly was just as sweet and did a wonderful job pulling the 7 of us effortlessly! A lovely way to spend an hour or 2 seeing Killarney National Park! Two thumbs up Damien and Molly!!

We were so lucky to have the privilege of an early morning carriage ride with Damien and his beautiful & friendly horse, Molly. Damien’s exceptional knowledge and good humor made the ride interesting and fun. We recommend this family-run business to anyone visiting Killarney, and it will be our priority to make a reservation when we return again!

Our host, Damien, was incredible! He was very friendly, informative, and funny. We had a great ride with his horse, Bally, who is among 30 that are on their horse farm. The ride was lovely and scenic and would highly recommend. Thanks for the game-changing recommendations. We ended up switching some of our itinerary around and are very glad we did 😁
