      100% recommend. Fantastic trip!
This was a brilliant day trip. Myself and my family began this trip in Ross Castle and ended in Brandon’s Cottage. The views on the way up through the lakes and river were spectacular, we loved going through the river near the top of the lakes. We also spotted an eagle on the way up which was very cool! The boat driver was very kind, knowledgeable and made the journey extremely enjoyable and fun. I would recommend this trip with this company to anyone visiting Killarney and we are going to be sure to make it a tradition every summer!

Grand… be sure to dress for the possible weather changes
We had a rainy windy boat and hike trip, but it was still beautiful and wonderfully memorable. All of the boatsmen were encouraging cheerful and so accommodating. Next time, I would book it with one of the local sites next time, like O’Connors who coordinate pick up at the end and bring you back to town.ours did not include this and the cab for return charged E50. Highly recommend this , esp if it’s a fair weather day. Jaunty cart fellows were great also

A must do when in Killarney!
We had a great trip to the meeting of the waters and Dinis! Friends were down from Wexford and we brought them down to the boat tour and they loved every minute of it! They can't wait for their next trip to Killarney to try one of the other tours. The Gap Trip is the next one!

      Spectacular boat trip
Our group consisted of two families, 4 adults & 5 children. We cycled from Killarney to Muckross House & onto Dinis Cottage. We had booked our boat trip from Dinis Cottage to Ross Castle with Tony. He said it wasn’t a problem to take our bikes across as well. He was very knowledgeable of the lakes and gave us a wonderful tour of the history and folklore. The weather was spectacular and the views were amazing. Tony was a pleasure to deal with and we will no doubt book with them again. 5 stars for definite.

A fantastic day crossing the lakes of Killarney with Ross Castle boat tours
My friends and I booked with Mike Fleming who was absolutely amazing as our boatman on the lake. He had his fantastic assistant Dean with him and gave us great info about the lake and the flora and fauna. We were a group of girls on a day out in Killarney and got the boat with Mike from the pier at Ross Castle to Lord Brandon‘s cottage at the Gap of Dunloe, here we got off the boat and had coffees and some rest, before walking through the Gap of Dunloe to Kate Kearneys cottage.

      A Beauty Experience!
What an incredible experience! Our captain and tour guide Mike was exceptional. Born into a family of boat operators on the lake, his knowledge of the culture and ecology of the area was extensive, and delivered tastefully with humour and passion. Safety was paramount from the get-go, and although we had some choppy lake conditions at the beginning of the tour, there was never concern for our safety. This day trip is a should be on everyone’s itinerary when in Killarney, and Mike from Ross Castle Boat Tours is the operator you should seek out for this trip. Well done man!

What a day to remember !!!! A huge thank you to Mike for such a great day . It was fun from start to finish Mike had so much knowledge of the lake and we even encountered the White Tale Eagles which was just amazing. From the minute we met Mike we felt safety was his first priority which was so important and his boat was absolutely spotless . Do this trip even if its a rainy day as it made it more fun. Thanks Mike we will be back !!!!! Betsy

      Dream come true!
We were 10 people in total and had a mix of Irish, Canadian, and an American within our group. We had the best time with Mike. He made the whole experience from start to finish super enjoyable…despite the weather. So many highlights from the boat tour but a favourite of everyones would be seeing the white tailed eagles. 100% recommend and ask for Mike!

      Fantastic experience
Our boat trip was a fantastic experience. Charlie was a super guide and he knew so much history which made our trip extra special. He took his time taking us around and stopping at different sites to tell us about them and answering our questions. The views of the lakes and mountains of Killarney were most spectacular,

Best Boat Tour with Tales of Yore and Laughs Galore
Tony was a hoot and made it so much fun! We learned about the geology of the three lakes and the mountains above. It was exciting as the currents changed and as we ducked low or shifted weight - all very mild and of course safe… if future travelers are at all nervous, don’t be & just book it! All along we heard stories including history of Queen Victoria, Ross Castle, and more curent humorous tales. The most beautiful and fun part of our Irish trip so far. Tony makes it a blast! Or was it Patrick? Lol. Inside joke.

      A lovely stroll
An absolutely delightful evening out in the lake. Michael knows the area like the back of his hand. He manages to come across in an informal and yet brilliantly professional way. Would definitely be back for another spin on the lake.

      Highlight of Killarney trip
As a big family group of 30+ we were at first surprised to see 3 little boats for our big crew. As soon as we stepped on board with our captain Mike, we knew we were in for a fantastic trip. Mike was full of knowledge, jokes, tales and overall friendliness throughout the whole journey. We saw the most spectacular views of the lakes and mountains of Killarney that you would not get elsewhere. It was most definitely the highlight of our family weekend in Killarney and I personally will be returning to join the boat tour again! Highly recommended, 10/10.

My wife and our two boys (15,12) had a wonderful time with Mike. He was an excellent tour guide and gave us a great tour of the lake and told us about local history as well. The boat was clean and well maintained and the island was just gorgeous! Just enough time of the island to walk the trail the circles the little island and see the monastery. Very peaceful and serene. Even our boys said it was one of their favorite parts of the trip! Very cool to see such an old part of history. Thanks again Mike for the great experience!

Michael was our tour guide and he was outstanding!! We went out early in the morning and even though we were the only two in the boat he still took us out. When we got to the island we were the only ones there - such a peaceful, serene and sacred experience. Thank you, Michael, for your kind and informative, tour. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland.

Good price for a short boat trip. The island was great to see with the deer and the ancient ruins. Mike was great captain who shared lots of information and is clearly very proud of Killarney, the nature of the park and the surrounding area. Thanks Mike and PS - we managed get a glimpse of the Eagles during our later trip through the woods.

Had an amazing boat tour from Ross castle out to Innisfallen island last Monday evening. First of all the views are spectacular, and the island itself is beautiful, so peaceful and the fact we did the tour later in the evening we actually had the whole island to ourselves which was a nice surprise. We got the chance to explore the island and came across the many deer as we walked through the old ruins of the monastery and church. Mike was a fantastic guide, he told us lots of stories about Ross castle and Innisfallen island on the boat journey, and he even took lots of photos of us which we really appreciated. He also gave us lots of time on the island and we didn't feel under pressure or rushed in any way.
It was the coolest thing we did in Killarney. I couldn't recommend Mike and his tour company enough, 10/10

A last minute decision to take a boat ride was the best part of our day! Departing from Ross Castle, Mike was so nice and gave us all kinds of information about the area during the trip. Went over to Innisfallen Island and he walked us around the monastery, sharing bits of history and taking our picture for us. Then back in the boat and he dropped us at Muckross House & Gardens, walking us up to be sure we found the entrance. Well worth the cost per person and on a nice day, the perfect way to spend a couple of hours. Highly recommend.

Visiting Innisfallen Island is like stepping into a myth. Imagining monks from almost a 1000 years ago walking the same paths around the island, you can't help but feel transported. The kids liked it most of any place we went - said it reminded them of Zelda Breath of the Wild :). Michael was a wonderful boat guide - very kind, very informative, very humorous. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful ride with Mike to the island. It was drizzling but he made sure we stayed dry. He told us about the history and gave us tips in our travels in Killarney. The island was peaceful and quiet, and we saw a herd of dear. We could have spent an entire day there.

Been to the Killarney area many times and found this while looking for something different to do with the family. What a great time. Pretty boat ride to Innisfallen then the loop walk around the island. Saw the deer that live on the island and the ruins. The boat captain was great and funny!
