Pass St. Mary’s Cathedral, a charming thatched cottage, and Killarney House Gardens before you clip-clop into Killarney National Park. The country’s last herd of native red deer frequent the deer park, so keep your eyes peeled as you admire the misty mountains across the lake. Fantastic and Entertaining Ride Through Killarney National Park
We had a great time on our jaunting car ride through Killarney National Park on Monday, May 6th. Vishnu drove our car pulled by Casey the horse. Vishnu was fun and funny! He gave us a list of great restaurant options for dinner and shared his extensive knowledge of Killarney and the park. We also got to talk about horses! I highly recommend taking a jaunting car tour from Killarney Jaunting Cars! If you're lucky you'll get Vishnu and Casey!

      Must do in Killarney!
What an amazing 90 mins we had with James and his house Megan We were travelling with two small boys and James was super kind and caring with them and really did not mind their many questions and occasional over excitement. The jaunt around the National Park was so lovely even on a gloomy rainy day in April. The deer were a real treat to see in the wild. The stop at Ross Castle was really lovely too. Short and sweet. HIghly recommend if you are visiting Killarney. We picked the ride up from outside the Outlet Centre/Southern Hotel

      Jaunting with Michael
We did a jaunting car tour around the Killarney National Park. We started and finished at Ross Castle. We struck gold with the combination of Michael and Jessie the horse. The rain clouds cleared and the sun came out at just the right time. Michael had some interesting and humorous banter including local history and plant identification. A very well spent 3/4's of an hour.

      Our Favorite Experience
My husband and I went with two of our daughters to Ireland and saw so many things and all agreed the jaunty car ride was our favorite. The guide was Louis and his horse Sweetie. Louis was funny and quick with stories and information we will always remember. “ABC” was used throughout our trip. We wouldn’t have made the ride at all without Laura who went above and beyond to make sure we made it. Thank you Louis! Highly recommend this company!

      Enjoyable Jaunty Ride
Very interesting and enjoyable tour through part of Killarney National Park. Enjoyed the scenery and the stop at Ross Castle. Jarvey was very hospitable. Visitors to Killarney should experience this.

One of a kind company with a heart!
Let me first start by setting the scene: two older Americans driving only 2.1 miles missing turns rerouting to finally come upon an office with horses nearby. It’s raining we go in to check in only to find out we had booked with a different company! My heart sank a bit but…. They absolutely made it happen for us! The office gals let us park there at the office, arranged a driver Cal and horse Trixie to come and take us on this tour my heart was so set on. Not many establishments would do this and I was deeply touched by it. Thanks to everyone in that company who worked together to make this happen! It truly was awesome!!!

      Best Tour in Killarney
We had an absolute blast with Paul and our lovely horse Benson. The wool blankets are a plus and we took it at the perfect time as it was raining all day. The service is informative, comfortable, and beautiful. Paul was an absolute riot. This is definitely something that you should do to tour parts of the National Park.

Best Part of our Ireland Trip!
I truly can’t say enough good things about our experience with Killarney Jaunting Cars. Our ride was on a particularly cold day, but we were greeted warmly by our driver Calvin and given plenty of wool blankets in the carriage. The ride itself was gorgeous, filled with fun conversation and plenty of great information about wildlife, vegetation, geology, history, and more. Spectacular views, an easy-going and knowledgeable guide, and a sweetheart horse named Calvin pulling us along - this was a smash hit and I would recommend it to absolutely everyone!

So much fun and amazing views.
We had so much fun and really enjoyed the tour. It was a great way to see the park without having to walk the entire thing. And our guide Johnny was very friendly and gave us so much information and history on the park. It was cold out when we went and it was nice to end with hot tea afterwards. We would highly recommend this and we would definitely do it again.

      Loved our jaunt!
We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day! It was a cool but sunny day and the scenery was stunning. Our driver was friendly and knowledgeable. We loved learning about the history of this place and walking around the castle. This was a highlight of our trip and could not have done anything better! Thank you!!!

      Slow down and relax
My mom and I took the tour from Killarney to Ross Castle, we ended up being the only 2 people in the jaunty. On this chilly November day, Paul was a great tour guide, friendly and informative. He offered blankets, answers to our many questions about Ireland and lots of laughs as we travelled through the park. It was convenient to our hotel in town but also to the city centre car park.

      Paul was amazing.
This was worth every breathtaking moment. Paul was our guide and made the trip even that much more special. He was very knowledgeable. Told us a lot about the history of Ireland and the names of the mountains, rivers, and stories about Ross Castle. He was witty, fun, and had a lot of knowledge of places to visit after the tour. We highly recommended Paul and his horse Lady “Di”.

The wind and rain did nothing to dampen the fabulous experience with Shamus guiding us through the fall weather to Ross Castle through the park. Historical information and his sense of humor truly helped us enjoy our Killarney experience. I hope everyone can experience the deer sightings and the changes in the weather as we did. It was fun, entertaining, and well worth our time.

On our last full day in Killarney, we accepted Patrick's offer to take a ride with his "boss" Molly, and we are so glad we did. Patrick was gracious enough to wait for us to get our things and take the last ride of the day, after all the other horses had packed it in. Patrick was friendly, informative and very funny.
He shared with us the history of the park, identified plants, trees, and wildlife, and even shared some personal stories of his own life and family here in Killarney. He owns two other horses, and we highly recommend taking a ride with Patrick if you are staying in Killarney.

I brought my daughter to Killarney this weekend, and our one-hour Jaunting Car trip was the highlight of the whole weekend for her and me! "Moody" Judy our horse has been the talk of the entire weekend. Our guide Eoghan was very knowledgeable and great with my 9-year-old daughter as he taught her about Killarney and made her laugh. I Couldn't recommend this Killarney Jaunting Cars enough!

Kevin was an amazing driver. He has a great knowledge of local history and the park. He was a storyteller in the repeating of Ross Castle history. Visitors love hearing tales of folklore, legends and history. Dusty had returned to service after the Covid break and what a beautiful equine. She was so friendly at the end. Highly recommend Kevin and his tour

We had an amazing ride through the Killarney National Park with our driver pointing out the native fauna as well as introduced plants to the park. He also told us the story of how the park had been donated by a family from Killarney to preserve the green space. We saw the wildlife, the lake and of course Ross Castle. There were also a few of Irelands native deer-the red deer plus a smaller Japanese Sika deer, roaming the woods too. It was a very peaceful and enjoyable ride for all of us plus he made sure to stop at great spots for many wonderful photos!

One of our tour excursions during our coach tour stop in Killarney, was to take a jaunting car ride, through Killarney National Park, and out to where to see Ross Castle. It was an awesome experience, through a beautiful park. But what made the trip the best experience, was our jarvie (guide), who called himself "Magic Mike". He was full of information, telling stories and explaining things we were seeing, pretty much the entire time we were touring. This one was included in our tour, so I'm not sure what it would cost to do it. But whatever it is, it would be worth it. It's a couple hours you will thoroughly enjoy.

I can't say enough about the company. From the moment I began making inquiries, everyone was helpful, patient and thorough, especially Laura. We had a party of 9 who needed different tours, 5 of us across the Gap and over the lakes, and 4 who merely wished to go up the Gap and back from Kate Kearney's cottage. Communication was flawless. Everyone was waiting for us just as promised- since the first party had 3 separate guides. All were knowledgeable, friendly and thorough. The tours were comfortable, safe and exciting. The Gap is a place you don't want to miss, and if you can see it with Killarney Jaunting Cars.

Killarney Jaunty car tours is a must when visiting the area. Our daughter absolutely loved it and great memories were created. The driver Mike was great and very informative and the horse Casey was very placid and loved to pose for pictures.

The tour operator was excellent and very kindly rebooked my tour last minute when I realised I had booked the wrong date.

A warning as there are other tour operators who are not as good and their poor feedback can sometimes be wrongly attributed to Killarney Jaunty tours. Please ONLY book through Killarney Jaunty tours as they are unrivalled in price but more importantly offer a much better experience.

We had a tour group of 35 people from the US. One of our stops was two nights in Killarney. On our first morning our group split across 6 jaunting cars and we had a lovely tour of part of the national park. Our driver, Johnnie, was extremely pleasant, told us information about the park and sights along the way, and even told a few jokes. It was a great experience and Johnnie was terrific! If I return I may do one of their other tours. Well worth the time and money!
