- juliajN6567NA0 contributionsA memorable experience, felt like a private tourOur driver John was so incredibly fantastic! It was the "off-season" so we only had ~15 people total in our tour and it was the best experience ever. John was so incredibly knowledgeable about the entire area. Learning about the areas he grew up on with family and what life was like when he was a child really helped put into perspective how things have changed (or not changed) since then. Being able to see the absolutely stunning sites and to hear the rich history from someone who experienced it is something that I've never been able to get on a tour. I could listen to him all day, the way he explains things is so captivating that it almost makes you feel like you were also there. He was consistently stopping for bathroom breaks for anyone who needed to go, or needed to stretch their legs. I absolutely would recommend Deros Tours over any other tour. It felt much more personable than any other tour I have been on. Thank you John and Deros Tours! I'll be sure to come back again for the other tours when the full season is back!!!Written 28 November 2024

Friendly staff that provide an efficient, informative and affordable service. Michael was an excellent driver and gave plenty of details about local landmarks. Several rest breaks along the route gave us a chance to use nearby facilities.Written 26 November 2024

Thanks to our driver Mike for a great day trip! Overall a great tour featuring highlights of the Ring of Kerry. If you happen to have a car (like we did) I always recommend a day tour which will provide an overview of sites, then you can drive yourself another day and take a little longer at sights. Deros is a great local tour operator and we always favor the smaller buses.

Deros Coach Tours was easy to book and the location to join the tour was in the City Centre. Denis, our guide was wonderful! Knowledgeable and very witty. I would highly recommend any tour he gives. He loves County Kerry and Killarney.

I chose to book this tour despite having a rental car, and I'm so glad I did!! Honestly after a few harrowing drives along Ireland's beautiful west coast, I was ready for a break and a chance to just enjoy the scenery of the Ring of Kerry. This tour was perfect. We loved our driver/guide Batt and all his fun and informational stories. An unexpected highlight was the stop at a working sheep farm with a demo of the sheep and dogs -- amazing!! I would highly recommend this tour, a relaxing way to enjoy the beautiful Ring of Kerry.

Stunningly spectacular views on this scenic tour. I highly recommend doing the private tour — it is 100% worth it. You get to go at your own pace and your guide can take you places the buses cannot. Piotr Jawniak was a fantastic guide who went out of his way to accommodate our desires. He was extremely knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor.
Pro tip: do not drink too much the night before your tour. The winding back roads can be difficult on the stomach and even harder to manage an emergency pull over! 🥴

We went on a day trip tour of the ring of kerry which was very good the only thing was, our coach broke down & our driver managed to get us a lift on another coach with another company called Paddywagon who did a good job of fitting us on the coach.
This tour was very good the driver who's name I cannot remember was excellent his knowledge & humor was very good & made the trip worth while . Lots to see on this tour , I would recommend this trip as its good value for money.

Beautiful tour! Was so glad we ended up booking this instead of driving ourselves since these roads definitely require a little more experience driving on these roads. My father ended up leaving his bag at one of the stops (with his passport in it) and our driver, Micheal, was such a huge help in getting it back to us. Cannot thank him enough!
Only suggestion I have if you are considering this your is to have some dramamine on hand as some of the second half of the trip was a little tough if you get motion sick easily.
Overall had a 10/10 experience, would definitely recommend!

We took this trip as part of our honeymoon and the tour was great. Michael couldn’t have been any better for a driver. He gave bits of information throughout and also had a few conversations with us during the stops. Stopped for coffee and lunch and then frequent stops throughout to take pictures of the amazing views along the way. Highly recommend if you wanted to take a day to see various spots of what makes Ireland so beautiful.

The scenery was amazing, Michael, the tour guide was a huge disappointment. He offered very little information on the history and culture of the region. He seemed to be in a hurry to get the tour over with, provided only basic information and failed to engage the passengers. Stops were way too short and he was adamant about getting back on the bus and consistently started driving before people were in their seats. He drove way too fast.

First tip, don't try to drive it on your own. We hired a guide through Deros Coach Tours and had a fantastic time, enjoying spectacular views and learned so much. The Ring is 111 miles which without stopping would take 3.5 hours. It took us almost 6 hours and the time flew by. It's very narrow in some places so good to have someone with experience driving you. Plus you have the advantage of enjoying the ride. Highly recommend.

Hi, I wanted to know if we have any breaks where we can get off the bus and admire the surroundings? 😊
I think it's a good way to travel, but I don't want to spend all day looking out the window.
Thank you 😊

How long would we be at the Ring of Kerry in total, off the bus? I'd like to have plenty of time to walk around, explore, take photos, hike, etc. Thank you in advance!

The stopovers are quite quick, 20 to 30 minutes at the most.

The overview says includes Dingle Bay but not in the tour name and no reviewer commented on the Bay.
Written 1 July 2019
You look out over the Dingle bay from the coast portion of the North side of the Ring of Kerry drive. You can see the Dingle Peninsula across the bay but too far to make out any details but it is a beautiful scenic view.

Is there a place to park in Killarney close to the pick up location?
Written 6 June 2019
Hi there, There ar4e car parks close by, however they are Pay& Display and might not provide the length of parking necessary for any day long tour, We parked on the road behind the Cathedral, which is Free parking all day and it's only a 10 minute walk from the centre of Killarney.
Written 26 July 2019
I don't believe so...at least the large coach bus we got on didn't seem to have anything available. They do have smaller buses that do Dingle Peninsula, which could have room for a wheelchair. Your best bet is to contact the tour company in advance to confirm.
Written 23 May 2019
Does this company (Deros Tour Co.) offer small group tours - as in smaller vehicles? In other words, there are two of us who wish to do the Ring of Kerry tour with a small group, rather than a large coach.
Written 18 January 2019
Hello, while driving the ring do they stop and allow you out to ale pictures? If so how often?
Written 14 January 2019
Yes they stop at select points. It is not your choice where they stop, but you'll get a decent amount of stops to take a few photos. Of course if you drive your own car you have flexibility to stop anywhere you like. /the bus route was great so we didn't have to worry about driving narrow windy roads alone.
