We had the pleasure of Gerry as our tour guide for the day. He knows his stuff. Gave a running commentary for the duration of the trip. Plenty of stops along the way at points of interest and photo opportunities. The main event was the hike up Diamond Hill in Connemara National Park. We had great weather for a January in Ireland. Clear skies and the sun was out. The 3 hour stop was ample time to complete the longest route to the top and back down, but there are shorter options for the less adventurous. Gerry, who has done the hike himself many times, understood we may be tired on the drive back, so had the Irish tunes playing, stopping them only to point out further info and for scenic photo stops. Great day from start to finish. My only disappointment was Gerry only sang the 1 song for us, but it was one of the best renditions of Fields of Athenry I've heard. Cheers for the great day!!

Hi Paul, thank you for taking the time to review our Connemara National Park Day Tour. Delighted to read that the weather and Gerry were at their best. The Fields of Athenry is one of Gerry's favourites and I agree, he sings it well.

This is the ONLY tour that actually gives you the amount of time you need to get up Diamond Hill and enjoy it! The other tours only offer two hours which means you are running up and down the hill (if you want to make it to the top) and have no time to enjoy the beautiful views of Kylemore Abbey from above. Definitely come prepared for the hike - pack a small bag have plenty of water and grab a sandwich from the visitor café before heading up! Having lunch at the top of Diamond Hill was definitely one of my major highlights for my entire trip!

Jerry was the best guide to Connemara! I have been going on multiple tours to Connemara while visiting Galway and this one was the absolute best. Jerry was not only very knowledgeable (also very funny jokes!) and helpful to answer any questions he went above and beyond offering photos and getting all the angles to best capture the beauty that was surrounding us!

I couldn't have said it better myself, thank you. You are correct that we are the only operator to offer a 3 hour stop in the Connemara National Park. We are also the only operator currently licenced to stop at the Connemara National Park but that's an issue for the licencing authority. If you could post some of your photos to our social media accounts, that would be great.

I was blown away at this tour of Connemara and so much more. Jerry our guide was absolutely AMAZING! So knowledgeable and genuine. He felt like a long lost relative you could listen to all day. He even serenaded us with a traditional Irish tune while driving through the beautiful countryside. 10/10 would recommend.

A lovely day out in Connemara! The weather was very typical west of Ireland weather but that only added to the atmosphere. The place feels like it’s full of magic. Our tour guide Mike was amazing! His knowledge of the area Is unparalleled and he is a fantastic story teller. We laughed a lot and he was great craic, well able for us and our daft questions. Hanging out with Mike feels like hanging out with an old friend. Can’t wait to come back. Thanks for making the day so special Mike.

Our driver Mike picked us up at our hotel in Galway and we spent the day driving through the most incredible scenery I have ever seen.
Our tour took us along the coast of Galway and Connemara to our of the way sites.
Mike is not only a terrific driver he told us all about the places we were seeing and answered our questions with enthusiasm.
He explained exactly what to do to make the most of our time at Kylemore Abbey which was very helpful since time gets away from you there.
We were absolutely delighted with the day.
Thank you Mike and wild Atlantic day tours for a most memorable day of great fun.

We did the Wild Atlantic Way Day Tour from Galway and got to see the best spots in Connemara and the sourroundings. I believe our tour guide Gerry was brilliant as he explained a lot in a very interesting way, enabled us to enjoy the best views over an amazing landscape and gave us enough time to discover every place in my opinion.
We really enjoyed our tour and therefore I would highly recommend it!
It was an absolute enrichment and we're very happy we chose this tour.
Thank you again Gerry, it was a pleasure!

Our tour guide was Gerry, and he was fantastic. Not only did he seem to really enjoy his job, but he also very knowledgeable of Irish history and local customs. There were only three of us on the tour (I am sure Covid and the time of year had something to do with it) so we had a very "intimate" experience. My favorite part of the trip was driving through the small villages and trying to image how their lives' must be. I have never seen the Atlantic Ocean from the east so that was a real treat. The park was nice but nothing extra special. I will say that we did go in February and it rained and was really windy so that could have clouded how I felt about the park.

I for sure would take this tour again.

We had an amazing time on our tour of connemara. The beutiful views of the atlantic were the highlight of our trip. Even though it rained, our tour guide, Gerry, made sure to keep us entertained with his vast knowledge of the region and his witty remarks. Overall, would recommend.

We went with wild atlantic way tours in Storm Ciera! The wind and rain made it impossible to see most of the natural attractions, so we weren't able to see the beauty of the natural park on the day. However, we did two hours at Kylemore Abbey and it was amazing even in torrential downpour. The garden and estate are beautiful in absolutely any weather, and I would highly recommend visiting.

Mike was wonderful guide and driver. He pointed out and explained many sights that gave me a good grounding of the area. The views of the Atlantic and the lovely scenery and villages on route to Connemara National Park were fantastic. There were many short but well-chosen stops to take photos and breath in our surroundings. I chose to hike at the National Park instead of visiting Kylemore Abbey and am happy with my choice. I'd certainly go with this company again.
