The tour was really great, the landscape is just magnificent and the Eamon did a great job. The tour was informative of Irish history, geography, landscape, historical/cultural significance of the places that we visited. Eamon had a great Irish sense of humor that made the trip fun.

We made a lot of stops to click photographs, walk around capturing the beautiful landscape of Lough Corrib, Inagh Valley and Killary harbour. The tour did not cover Ross Errily Frairy for some reason but it was all made up for by the other places we got to visit.

We spent about an hour exploring the Cong village, another beautiful spot, it's a small village with lots of beautiful sites, that you can walk around , the Cong Abbey is in ruin but makes a beautiful site . Eamon did a great job with the description of The Quite Man and it's relevance to the village. The village has a thorough map of what could be explored. It was worth the visit.

Kylemore abbey is beautiful inside and out. I thought 2 hours was a bit less if you want to cover both Kylemore Abbey and the gardens but it was a great tour anyway. Information brochures are provided at the abbey. The entry tickets provided by the tour cost less than if you buy them online or at the entrance. Since you're given only 2 hours I would recommend to go with what you like, the house, the church and the mausoleum will roughly take an hour and a half if you want to explore properly, the Victorian gardens will take another hour. So it's a matter of choice on how you ration your time. The café in the Abbey is really great too, Covid guidelines are strictly adhered too.

Eamon did a great job being a great guide with his knowledge, wit and experience. The Connemara National park is absolutely stunning that makes the bus ride very pleasant.

We had a great day and the kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Mike was a great driver, navigating us to the various stops with humour and knowledge. I felt the time given on the itinerary was sufficient for us and the trip was worth the money. I would definitely book other tours with GTC the next time we are in Galway.

Brilliant!

Starting with Michael (❣️), the driver/guide, through the Abbey and especially (for me) the TINY side trip and walk down a shortways to a perfect spot near the lake and sheep... it was so worth every penny and every minute. Michael truly was fantastic, sharing so much history and Irish stories.

It's an all day trip so it's a long day on the coach. I would paid just to see Kylemore Abbey and given Cong village a miss. Staying in Cong village for over a hour is way too long as it will take just 10 minutes to go around the whole village! So I felt this was a waste of time especially as I only had limited time in Galway.

Kylemore Abbey is beautiful and well worth going to. It's quite a big area and there's a shuttle bus that will take you to the gardens which has a house museum for the head gardener, pigs, horses and a trail to the woods.

You had 2.5 hours which is plenty of time to explore the grounds and Abbey.

Mike was very chatty and regaled us with stories and information which helped passed the time on the coach.

Highly recommend this tour. The bus driver, Mike, was not only knowledgeable but very friendly and told lots of stories and entertained us as we did this day trip.
We had the pleasure of sitting in the front seats and got to watch him master all the narrow roads and sharp turns of the Irish backcountry.
We had plenty of time at Kylemoore Abbey and in Cong to explore. Overall, a great experience!

Well worth the money! We made quick 8-minute stops about three times (twice on the way to and once after we visited the Kylemore Abbey) during the ride on beautiful photo spots, so that we could take some pictures and stretch our bodies after sitting for hours. Our tour guide was helpful in providing information throughout the ride—I really like the part about "the suicide sheep" (Go to this tour and you'll find out why!)

I got 2.5 hours to explore Kylemore Abbey & Victorian Walled Garden—I sure could do with more, but I managed to see quite all what I wanted to see. (Besides, it's perfect with my train schedule.)

Aside from the majestic Kylemore Abbey, you'll be treated to the mesmerizing view of Connemara along the ride, which is truly a feast for the eyes!

The price for this tour doesn't include the entrance ticket to Kylemore Abbey (as mentioned on their homepage), but don't worry, the tour guide distributed the tickets when we arrived at the Kylemore Abbey! It's cheaper than if you buy it online or at the entrance ... the ticket costs €10 while on the Kylemore website it costs €15 for adults and €12.50 for students. You can pay with cash or card.

I remember phoning the company a day before the tour, asking at what time would we arrive back at the pickup departure point because my train would depart at 6.30, the same time the tour was supposed to end. The coach arrived back at 6.23 and it's a close call, so glad the bus made it in time!

A day and money well spent! MIKE is a very friendly, humorous and well-informed tour guide. He pointed out hundreds of details of Irish histroy, culture and economy that I surely would have missed if I had travelled alone. Very enjoyable!
We made several photostops just for the magnificient views and two longer stops: Kylemore Abbey - definitely get the discounted ticket (10€) from the bus driver. It is absolutely worth it. Also, without a ticket, you have 1.5 hrs to kill in the gift shop and restaurant.
We also stopped at the village of Cong, which I had never heard of. However, the laid-back Irish village has beautiful ruins to explore, and of course also a café and an Aran sweater shop.

Loved Kylemore but it was drizzling & chilly when we stopped in Cong so I found it much less interesting except for the bookstore we visited there. The tour guide will sell you discounted tix to Kylemore before exiting the bus. 10 euro instead of 15 at the gate. A good rate!

This trip was really worth. I reccomend, its a good value for money. Our driver Ray is a lovely person, he entertained us all along the way with very interetsing facts, history about the places, songs and jokes. He stopped at every possible spot for us to take a photo or have some fresh air. The views were fascinating all along the trip. Its a must see when in Ireland. Ray also made sure we are all aboard before departure, and was very flexible with people returning late, he also gave us advices at every stop, where to go what to check out etc. In overall it was a good experience. Thank you

1. Being able to sit and relax on a VERY comfortable bus and see some of the most beautiful scenery in the world.
2. It would cost at least 3 times the amount of money to try and drive oneself.
3. The Driver, was local, knowledgeable, kind, extremely skilled, caring.
4. The locations were "world class" and not to be missed.
5. I could add photos, but they do NO justice.
6. The amount of experience packed into one day can't be matched.
