    Enjoyed this Tour!
The Mythology & Folklore Tour was very interesting. Our guide, Alan, was very knowledgeable and was attentive to the whole group. Learning the key mythology and other details about Ireland from this good story teller was very enjoyable.

    Stag group explores Irish folklore!
Came to Dublin on a stag trip but decided the walking tour sounded fun as a way to get to see a little of the city. It was a really great evening. Our tour guide Emily was brilliant, a fantastic combination of entertaining, friendly and very knowledgeable. Everyone on the tour said afterwards they had really enjoyed it - and as Emily predicted we remembered the salmon of knowledge and the little fellow with the horses head for a great excuse for getting back late from the pub!! Thoroughly recommended. And thanks again Emily!

The tour with Helena was a wonderful and entertaining jaunt through Dublin! She told fun and interesting stories about the city and we thoroughly enjoyed being her company. Will do a tour with her again.

    Lovely experience !
I did this tour with Emily who was super engaging and caring to check in on the group since it was a bit chilly out. She is extremely knowledgeable and intelligent, with witty delivery. I loved this tour! Highly recommend!

Take this tour! We loved every second of it
I lived this tour. Emily was fantastic. Funny and informative, she has so much knowledge and delivered it in such a charming way. Might have been my favorite 2 hours of the 10 days I spent in Ireland. Highly recommend.

    Great walking tour!
I went on the free walking tour that was hosted by Barry and Dan. We had a larger group so we’re split into two smaller groups of 20 or so. Barry was our tour guide and he was great. It was fun to see all the different sites and hear about the Irish history. Barry did a good job with explaining and answering any of our questions. He kept the group engaged. I would highly recommend this to anyone especially solo travelers. A walking tour should be on your list whenever visiting a new city.

The very soul of Ireland: interesting, funny and a whiff of Guinness
A walking tour is always a bit of a gamble, as it depends heavily on the guide. We were really lucky with Keith as our guide: local, historian, young and someone who emanates the soul of Dublin and Ireland as a whole. We enjoyed every minute of his jokes, historic anecdotes (Veronica Guerin!) and even songs. When he told us about where to best drink your pint of Guinness, I believed this man. Be generous after the tour, you won’t find better paid tours.

    Brilliant
Dan our tour guide provided us with lots of stories and fun tales of Dublin past and present. He also gave us lots of great recommendations of places to eat and drink. Well worth it.

    Definitely recommend!!
We went on a folklore tour with Emily. The tour was great! My daughter initially didn’t want to go on the tour at all. I talked her into trying it and if she didn’t enjoy it I promised we would leave early. Luckily for me, our guide Emily was absolutely amazing. My daughter immediately was hooked and wanted to follow our guide around. Emily was super patient and answered all her questions (my daughter just turned 16 and had about a million questions and comments). She’s thanked me about 20 times for booking it and making her go. 10/10 recommend, especially with Emily as the guide!!

A real class act, best tour I've ever taken
Booked the Mythology walking tour with a group of friends, and what an absolute GEM of a time! Easily the highlight of the day. Only book with Original Dublin if you're looking for an excellent experience. As a guide, Alan was AMAZING, friendly, funny, knowledgeable. The tour itself was highly walkable and INCREDIBLY engaging. A bit chilly, but you know, January usually is. The best part for me was a section on ~weird Dubliners~ which I wish was a tour unto itself. Love that they were included as living/contemporaneous mythology. Though it was my favorite part, the other sections of the tour were also great. I'd expect the other tours they offer are equally excellent, and I'm planning to come back for their Queer Dublin tour at least. Would DEFINITELY and CONFIDENTLY recommend Original Dublin to anyone looking for walking tours. This is a real class act.

This tour was fantastic! We only had 24 hours in Dublin - so we wanted to learn as much as possible and Keith from Original Dublin was terrific. He not only told our group the historical facts and figures, but wove humor about Irish stereotypes and traditions into the mix. He also stopped by some smaller statues and told very a poignant stories that made me want to learn MORE about Ireland. He was also very helpful in giving us suggestions on how to maximize our time in the city - including his opinion on what was worth the cost of admission and what wasn't. Even if you have more than 24 hours in Dublin - start with THIS tour!

We absolutely loved participating in this walking tour and recommend it for any first-time or even returning visitors to Dublin!

Ian took us on a historical journey through Dublin which may not sound interesting at first, but I promise you the execution made the entire tour seem like he was telling a story. We laughed at countless jokes sprinkled into the tour and were able to ask Ian additional questions about Dublin. The historical context of the tour made the experience very unique to any other city tour we’ve taken elsewhere.

The tour group was a bit larger than we were used to for walking tours, but Ian made sure everyone was accounted for before he began presenting at each stop.

Our guide Dan was absolutely brilliant. We learned so much about Dublin’s history, culture’ politics and psyche - from a local who is clearly passionate about his city and optimistic for its future.
This was advertised as a 2 hour tour but it ran to nearly 2.5 hours and finished with applause from everyone.
I’d highly recommend doing this on your first day in Dublin as a good way to get a feel for the city centre.

We had a very informative tour with Alan and enjoyed learning a great deal about Irish history. He has an incredible wealth of knowledge and it's obvious that he clearly takes pride in his heritage. He walked at a comfortable pace and made sure everyone was present before stopping to give us information. He spotted a rainbow when we were on the bridge and made it a point to stop to give us the opportunity to take a photo of it
I highly recommend this tour!

Alan was a fantastic tour guide to show us round Dublin. He gave us a good insight into the historical and comedic stories of the city and made himself available to offer local advice and recommendations. It was just over three hours with a short pub-break in the middle. I would highly recommend it to anyone first visiting the city as a good way to orientate yourselves with the main sights and meet new people along the way!

3 of us went to dublin, just take a shuttle bus that will bring you to the city from the airport...just buy one way for €6 /person....as the bus going to the airport is not reliable. If booking for hotels make sure to find out if its near the shuttle bus stops route. Going back to airport we took a taxi for €30 , ask first for the price.

This tour is appropriately titled and the one of the gems( though not so hidden!) was our tour guide Ali ! She was animated, lively knowledgeable and a great storyteller.
The two hours passed really quickly and we learnt a tremendous amount both about the history and landmarks of the city but more importantly about Dublin life and culture through the family history of a Dublin woman.
Totally recommend fun, informative and refreshingly alive snapshot of the city

Excellent tour on Saturday, 3/4. Unfortunately, I don't remember my tour guide's name but he was fabulous. An actor by trade, he was extremely knowledgeable, informative and entertaining. I highly recommend this tour if you want an introduction into the history of Ireland and the historical landmarks of Dublin. 90min-2hours, it's just long enough to get a thorough foundation and feel like you've a more intimate relationship with the city, yet short enough to be able to fit it into your day.

I highly recommend!!!

Ian was probably one of the best tour guides we have ever had. He easily kept a large group engaged and interested in the history of Ireland for 2 hours, and we felt like we truly learned about the history of the country. I would recommend to anyone visiting Dublin as a must!

Very informative and engaging throughout. Dan is so full of knowledge and talks with such passion it is mesmerising. We wish there were a few more stops with some hidden gems. That said I would still fully recommend this informative walking tour to learn about the history of the country with a few laughs throughout.
