    A brilliant overview of Dublin
We took a 10am free walking tour and I'm so glad we did. Tara was a brilliant guide, running through the history of Dublin, lots of the sites, plus the cheapest places to find a Guinness! We'll definitely be back to Dublin, if it wasn't our last day in the city we would have tried all of her recommendations. We tipped at the end, and overall a brilliant two and a half hour guide!

    Absolutely must do
This tour is a highlight of our couple of days in Dublin. Kilean has a wealth of knowledge about Dublins history, economics and culture and infuses it with the right amount of passion, humour and drama. If you won’t a deeper context to this beautiful city, I couldn’t recommend this tour enough. If we had time we’d do more.

One of my FAVORITE walking tours!
The tour was fantastic! We did the Women's Tour (which is fairly new) and it was already incredible. It felt seamless, and our tour guide Tara was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable, easy to talk to, easy to follow, and easy to ask questions with. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour!!!!

    Fabulous walking tour with Ciaran!!
We took a walking tour of Dublin with Ciaran of Unearthed Tours. This tour was the best tour we've taken. Ciaran is a born storyteller. He shared the history of Ireland and Dublin in an interesting way. We visited many sites in Dublin that we would not have seen on our own or known the significance of these sites. We highly recommend a tour with Unearthed Tours. Thank you Ciaran for a wonderful tour of Dublin.

You don’t know Dublin till you’ve done an Unearthed Tour
Absolutely loved the tour today with Cairan!! His love and knowledge of his city, its history and things to do is very apparent. A wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm. I have done over 20 free walking tours around the world and this one ranks at the top.

Delivering in-dept historical and city knowlede
Great introduction to Dublin and Irish history. Way more in dept than you would expect, and I even read the great and well deserved reviews before booking, so expectations were high. I cannot recommend this tour enough! And on top of that our guide Ciarán is the most knowledgeable and pleasant guy!

    Stop looking, start booking
A tour that went above and beyond. Cian was fortcoming, knowledgeable and fully engaged as a person. Put Dublin and Ireland into perspective for us. 5 stars seems like underselling the tour. Could simply not have asked for anything more. Want to get to know the city and its political, historical and cultural context? Stop looking, start booking.

    History and politics of Ireland
Wonderful in site. To Irish history and politics. Now that I have the basic background, I will better understand the rest of our tour around Ireland.

    Just do it!
What an amazing tour! Ciaran walked us as much through Irish history as the city itself and showed so much passion and interest that it was hard not to be infected. Despite the drizzle we had an amazing time and would highly recommend this tour to everyone who wants to know more about Dublin and the Irish.

We booked this as part of a trip to Dublin for a friends 30th and can say it was well worth it. Kieron/cieron/keyran… was great and really personable, even in with a bigger group. A really knowledgeable dude. The tour lasted around 2hrs and it flew by, absolutely loads of twisted and humorous stories about the dark side of the city, while also giving a load of historical information. It’s a great way to find out about the city and see some of its sites

Ciarán was a fantastic tour guide and a wonderful story teller! My husband, his friend and I had a blast walking through Dublin for 2 hours this past Saturday and listening to dark stories taking place in Ireland. Gruesome stories with even scarier ends but the jokes were perfectly timed and hilariously delivered which made the tour unique in my eyes. I would do this tour again next time in Dublin just for the fun of it and recommend this tour to everyone looking for a well spent 2 hours walking through some bloody (pun intended) interesting history of Ireland.

Ciaran did an amazing job letting us know about all of the twisted history within Dublin and also was incredibly personable and helpful about regular Dublin tips and tricks. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to hear the history they don’t usually tell you on the tours. You do stay outside the entire time so keep that in mind.

I took this tour as a solo traveler and loved it. Kieran our group guide did an amazing job telling us about the dark past of the city with some humor mixed in. I actually learned a lot of cool things and I would highly recommend anyone who likes a bit of history, especially slightly twisted, told by an amazing storyteller to book it. You won’t be disappointed.

We took the Unearthed free walking tour as soon as we arrived in Dublin from the states after a quick 2 hour nap. It was wonderful. We have taken walking tours all over the world, and Cieran was one of the best guides we have yet to encounter. He was highly informative, entertaining, and helpful. He gave us information we would have never known otherwise. He was very funny and even brought a tear to my eye as he passionately relayed stories from the uprising. We spent a week in Ireland after our tour and even returned to Dublin a day early to take his Dark Dublin tour which did not disappoint. It was highly entertaining and informative as well. We learned so much macabre history that was quite fascinating! Ciaran was also very gregarious and we took him up on his recommendation for a dinner restaurant, a pub for live music, and a bar for a snack on our trip, and all 3 of his recommendations were top notch. I would recommend anyone going to Dublin to take as many of Cieran's tours as possible!

Excellent experience with an absolutely wonderful guide whose knowledge of the city’s and country’s history (glamorous or otherwise) was infinite. We remained engaged, entertained, and highly valued by our guide throughout the entirety of this fantastic tour. Ciaran was the perfect guide. My husband and I would recommend this tour 1,000 times over to anyone looking to enjoy a quintessential European city with a twisted, spooky flare leaving you wanting more.

We found this tour on Trip Advisor when looking for activities in Dublin.
Very reasonable price and it looked different to the usual things on offer.
James, our guide, met us at the location. We were a small group of four. James was very friendly, very knowledgable of the city and added the right amount of humour to his tales.
The tour lasted for two hours and involved walking at a moderate pace around the city.
He was more than happy to give us advice about the best places to eat and drink and ideas for other things to do in the city.

Would highly recommend this tour if you are into dark and gruesome history and would like to see the city from a different perspective with a fun and knowledgable guide.

We had a really good time with Ciaran. He was amazing, funny but also his talking was interesting and based on many facts about history of Ireland and Dublin. We recommend to wear a warm clothes, because the tour will take about 2 hours and in n
November/winter time, you can feel really cold. Ciaran, thanks a lot!

We did the Dark Dublin tour and it was one of the best walking tours I’ve been on anywhere. Ciaran was simultaneously hilarious and informative as to the less happy goings on in Dublin history. It was worth the ticket just to hear about the Irish Family Jewels (not a euphemism), a story we shared with anyone who would listen. Though he said his parents might not have been thrilled about him tour guiding, we’re glad he found it so that we can hear him talk about less publicized history in an entertaining way.

We had an incredible time with Jack on our Dark Dublin Tour. He was very insightful and witty and really kept the crowd engaged in the history of Dublin. I would highly recommend this tour considering we learned so much and got to visit key destinations in the city such as St. Patrick’s cathedral and Dublin Castle.
