Kieron was an excellent tour guide that took us around parts of Dublin explaining the dark history of the city with lots of enthusiasm. We would really recommend going on this tour as it was very interesting and great value for money. It was pouring down with rain throughout the tour but still amuzing and worth getting drenched for

I recently took the Dark Dublin walking tour with Cillian. The tour was incredibly detailed and informative, and despite the subject matter - at times really funny! Cillian did an excellent job of managing the group; both directing us through the hustle and bustle of Dublin and keeping us safe, and also sensing when we needed a bit of a lighter story to break up some of the death and murder.

It was clear that Cillian is extremely passionate about both Ireland and history, and I got the feeling he had many more stories that there wasn't time to share. He answered all of our questions and told some supplemental stories based on the interests of the group.

I highly recommend this company to anyone visiting Dublin and wish I'd had the time to take the other tours this company offered.

We found this tour on Trip Advisor when looking for activities in Dublin.
Very reasonable price and it looked different to the usual things on offer.
James, our guide, met us at the location. We were a small group of four. James was very friendly, very knowledgable of the city and added the right amount of humour to his tales.
The tour lasted for two hours and involved walking at a moderate pace around the city.
He was more than happy to give us advice about the best places to eat and drink and ideas for other things to do in the city.

Would highly recommend this tour if you are into dark and gruesome history and would like to see the city from a different perspective with a fun and knowledgable guide.

We had an incredible time with Jack on our Dark Dublin Tour. He was very insightful and witty and really kept the crowd engaged in the history of Dublin. I would highly recommend this tour considering we learned so much and got to visit key destinations in the city such as St. Patrick’s cathedral and Dublin Castle.

We have been to Dublin on a number of occasions and have always enjoyed doing the real ‘touristy’ things. We thought this time we would try something different and we were not disappointed.

The meeting point is on a little square by Dublin castle. We were a small group of 4 which ensured that we had an engagingly and personal guided tour.

James was fantastic, he really is a great story teller, giving us lots of stories about what happened in Dublin in years gone by. James took us down roads and alley ways that we hadn’t notice before, all at a moderate walking pace.

It was a little chilly so if attending in the winter months make sure you wrap up warm.

Really good value, would highly recommend.

Ciarán was a fantastic tour guide and a wonderful story teller! My husband, his friend and I had a blast walking through Dublin for 2 hours this past Saturday and listening to dark stories taking place in Ireland. Gruesome stories with even scarier ends but the jokes were perfectly timed and hilariously delivered which made the tour unique in my eyes. I would do this tour again next time in Dublin just for the fun of it and recommend this tour to everyone looking for a well spent 2 hours walking through some bloody (pun intended) interesting history of Ireland.

We had James running our tour, who was brilliant, funny, and confident; it was a really great way to kick-start our evening. You get to walk around Dublin see some great sights and hear some strange and wonderful stories. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to do a walking tour but wants to hear some untold, darker stories of the city. Just make sure you're in comfy clothes and shoes and it's a fair bit of walking!

We booked this as part of a trip to Dublin for a friends 30th and can say it was well worth it. Kieron/cieron/keyran… was great and really personable, even in with a bigger group. A really knowledgeable dude. The tour lasted around 2hrs and it flew by, absolutely loads of twisted and humorous stories about the dark side of the city, while also giving a load of historical information. It’s a great way to find out about the city and see some of its sites

James is engaging and funny as he leads the group all over Dublin sharing dark histories and stories.

He is takes time to slowly complete the tour, no rush and is very generous with all the stories even recapping what was covered in the earlier parts of the tour.

A must try for anyone who takes a trip to Dublin, Ireland!

Ciaran was great and he has a perfect tour guide voice, bc even if the traffic was sometimes loud you could hear him perfectly. I am not a native english speaker but everything was so well explained that it was no trouble for me to understand. The dark side tour was a great experience, so we decided to book the free walking tour for the next day - we didn't regret it. Interesting facts and stories, irish history briefly and with some humor explained, beautiful walk through the city and some recommendations for restaurants, pubs and cafes.
