- SPr0ut790 contributionsBest Dublin Tour Guide You’ll Find. Highly Recommend Eamonn! We visited Dublin over New Years, and Eamonn took our family of four (including 2 boys 12 and 15) on two separate tours. First he took us on the 5 hour tour around Dublin. He is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to his country. We saw castles, seals, pubs, and even a donkey! Then later in our trip he took us into the mountains to see a farm where sheep dogs are trained, afterwards we stopped for coffee in Hollywood, then Eamonn took us to Phoenix Park and taught us how to play the Gaelic sports of hurling and football. The kids absolutely loved this! We ended our tour at one of the oldest pubs in Dublin frequented by the gravediggers that worked at the cemetery next door. Highly recommend Eamonn and we can’t wait to visit again!Written 10 February 2025
- lisagN8631LG0 contributionsTrue Gift of a Guide in Dublin!Eammon was a true gift! He was flexible and knowledgeable and fun! He made our trip interesting (always offering lots of tidbits) - he listened to our interests (big U2 fans so took us to some U2 spots) made our restaurant reservations (great recommendations and got us prime seats!) and took away travel stress - taking us door to door - which was key since we were traveling with our 82 year old dad. I have already recommended him to anyone I know traveling to Dublin !Written 10 February 2025
- Julie V0 contributionsWonderful Day in DublinEamonn was a great guide, considered our group’s varying ages and speeds and made it comfortable for everyone . He was informative, fun, and gave us a wonderful history of Dublin! He made recommendations for our visit. The best part of our trip!Written 10 February 2025
- FarAway4796920 contributionsThe best tour ever!Eamonn took us to so many of the wonderful historic sites all the way from Dublin to Monaghan. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour and a better guide. He filled our day full of stories, laughter and music! Newgrange was one of the most fascinating historic sites we’ve ever explored!! We highly recommend Eamonn! Thanks again !!Written 21 December 2024
- Daydream8119020 contributionsVisit to Dalkey, Glendalough and KilkennyMy wife and I spent the full day with Eamonn visiting the Glendalough, Wicklow and the city of Kilkenny. It was a memorable day touring the area outside of Dublin. Eamonn was the best guide and host you could ask for. Also, we wanted to visit the Dalkey area on our way to Wicklow and again Eamonn made this happen. Great tour, superb experience, well done!Written 14 November 2024
- manfredhR3775MY0 contributionsPremium tour!Dublin is an amazing city. It was our first time visiting and we will come back for sure. The tour was meant to be a kick start to both give us some orientation and insights. And what can I say: It was a perfect day all the way. Thank you very much for the great time! Fully recommend!Written 11 November 2024
- D5861CBstevem0 contributionsLife changing family heritage tour for mom’s 75thWe took a trip to Ireland for my mom’s 75th birthday. We were looking for a driver/tour guide for a series of day trips. Our most important trip was to the west of Ireland to look for the homes where our ancestors were born. Eamon was incredible and made what would have already been a life-changing trip that much better. His passion and knowledge of Irish history was incredible. Wherever you go, he has connections and experience to improve your stay. We toured Belfast, Howth and Ireland, at each stop Eamon knowing the absolutely best pubs and restaurants in addition to navigating traffic and providing history along the way. In Dublin, he arranged a special table for live music and arranged for the band to sing happy birthday to my mom. When we moved from Dublin to Galway, Eamon still had a vast network to make sure we had the best time possible. Eamon does a great job of getting to know everyone in your group and modifying itineraries based on the needs of the group. His focus is on an authentic experience and avoids some of the cliche tourist destinations. When we went to find our ancestors homes, he literally knocked on doors and chatted up strangers in pubs helping to piece everything together. Tell him what you want to accomplish and let him do his thing. I cannot recommend him more highly.Written 8 October 2024
- londons20 contributionsFABULOUS!!!!!!!We had a great day with our driver!! Fun, educational, scenic and authentic. We had whiskey tasting overlooking a coast, lunch at a great local place and a wonderful pint of Guinness in an old, out of the way pub full of locals, not tourists. We also stopped an a fabulous whiskey distillery with a tasting and one final pub to wrap up our great day! He will set up the day however you want it, we wanted it this way, so it met and exceeding our requests!! Overall, A+++++ BOOK NOW!Written 25 September 2024
- RemyV_110 contributionsAuthentic Dublin City & Bay private tour with a true DublinerMy family and friends booked a tour with ChaperoneVIP tours in Dublin for September 3, 2024. Our contact was Eamonn. He was fully booked for that date, but he was kind enough to offer to do the tour himself. He picked us up at the cruise port on the day of our tour. We all had a fantastic day in Dublin Eamonn explained about the history of Dublin and we visited some of the Victorian era pubs where we had lunch and a pint of beer and Guinness stout. Lunch was fantastic we all enjoyed the food. After lunch we visited the Teeling Whiskey Distillery where we sampled whiskey. Eamonn made our day fun and enjoyable and I would recommend ChaperoneVIP Private Tours if you are planning to visit Dublin.Written 16 September 2024
- Tate05080 contributionsPhenomenal private tour in Dublin with Eamonn!Eamonn was an amazing guide! He picked us up from the train station to begin our tour. We quickly discovered that this tour would be a highlight on our trip! Eamonn was a wealth of information from the history of Dublin to the best pubs and pints in town. He gave us recommendations on local pubs and restaurants. He was personable, flexible, and witty. He listened to what we were interested in doing and brought us to places that we never would have found on our own! His love for his country is contagious and brought us closer to our Irish heritage! I highly recommend choosing Eamonn for your guide if he deserves an A++. We loved every minute of our tour!Written 11 September 2024
- martha b0 contributionsThe best guide ever!Eamonn is a terrific guide! He has extensive knowledge of historical events as well as the local area. - 955tracyc0 contributionsIncredible Private Tour Designed Just for Us!What a fantastic experience, from booking to the tour itself. Eamonn took the time to find out what we were interested in and plan a tour that fit those desires. At the same time, he was very flexible and changed some stops the day of the tour based upon our comments, requests and knowledge he gained from simply taking the time to get to know us. The tour was filled with information on Dublin and Ireland in general combine with stops at some great pubs in the city. He made sure every need was taken care of that all of our questions were answered. I cannot say enough about Eamonn and the incredible service he provided!Written 27 August 2024
- dennissV7697HE0 contributionsLove Eamon! We really enjoyed our day with Eamon. We booked a 5 hour tour of Dublin and learned so much about Dublins history. We asked Eamon to show us “his Dublin” which he did indeed. We went to places I would not have thought to add to our original itinerary and we had a blast. Eamon showed us some off the beaten path places of Dublin and when I return I will call him again. I highly recommend!Written 18 July 2024
- michaelrS8007JN0 contributionsCong “The Quiet Man” countryside tourEamonn seriously made the most amazing day we could have asked for. Our tour was across the countryside to the city of Cong. We did so many amazing things that Eamonn planned for us. It truly made my Mother-In-Laws whole trip to Ireland getting to see where the John Wayne movie was filmed. We were able to pack so much into one day. Our family will definitely be back to visit again and will use him for another tour!Written 17 July 2024
- aprilsM7829AU0 contributionsExceptional Tour Guide - Dublin to Galway to Killarney and Everything In BetweenEamonn was amazing. We did a seven day private tour around Ireland and requested that we see the true Ireland. He hit it out of the park and gave us such an adventure and so many avenues to see and experience every aspect of his country. He was so knowledgeable sharing history, architecture, and geography. As we got to know one another better (very quickly) he adapted and fine tuned our tour to maximize our experience. Eamonn is an exceptional tour guide and will become your new Irish Friend who shares his homeland with great pride and enthusiasm. 10 out 10 for Eamonn our new Irish Friend!Written 11 June 2024

This was our 2nd visit to Dublin, so we decided to take a private tour with Eamonn. It was Awesome! We did bus tours the last time we were there. The bus tours were decent; I have no complaints, but Eamonn really took it to a whole different level. He showed up at the hotel to pick us up, right away he was very personable and a connection was formed between us. I mention that because without it, 12-13 hours with a stranger can be a very stressful thing! My daughters and my wife Catherine had nothing but great things to say about Eamonn when we returned to the hotel. If you knew my daughters, that alone would impress you:-)
During the ride to Galway Eamonn provided historical details, facts, fiction, fun, and music. He did take a couple of breaks to give us time to reflect:-)
Eamonn suggested we do Galway first because of the weather. It was a good call. My family loved Galway. In fact, if we go back again they suggest staying in Galway.
The ride to the Cliffs of Moher Eamonn continued to educate and entertain. We stopped for lunch in a small town/village, it was the best stew I've had in a very long time. Catherine doesn't really do stews, but I think she's going to start:-) We pretty much had the Cliffs to ourselves (there were just a few other people there at that time). The weather was great except the windchill dropped the temperature about 20 degrees, but visibility was unrestricted for miles!!! It was a truly unique experience, and if we go back we'll do it again!
I'm still working through the photos we took, but I'll add a few (which Eamonn took). My suggestion is you go and make your own memories. In case you are wondering Catherine's grand mother was Irish, and my daughters are 17% Irish. As for me, I do have Irish in my blood, but I really like Guinness:-)

Eammon was just fantastic. From the get go, he communicated well, was flexible, timely and a great guide. Living in Dublin, he started the tour information in a very conversational way talking us through a couple highlights on the way out of the city. Our tour was 7 people going to the Cliffs of Moher and Galway and back, with a stop in a traditional Irish pub for lunch. He played lots of different Irish music and discussed along the way, which was a great use of time and stopped to show us several other local and non-touristy stops along the way. He answered our questions, both historical and cultural, with great knowledge and was a delight to converse with. The van was very comfortable. Highly recommended!

Hi Casey,
Thanks a million for the lovely review, it’s very motivating for me to hear such satisfaction. I really enjoyed our chats as we headed west to the cliffs and explored old Ireland.

Eamonn was amazing! Full of stores and knowledge of the local area. He found out my husband family is from county Claire and had a wealth of antidote and little stories to share. We got to have a personalized schedule to do what we wanted on the day and spend our time taking in the sites as if we were driving without the stress of actually driving. I would absolutely recommend this tour!

A private day tour with Eamonn must be on everybody’s TO DO list when visiting Ireland! Our full day privately curated experience completely surpassed our family’s
expectations! Eamonn is an exceptional tour guide- he provided not only a history lesson regarding the trials and tribulations of Ireland’s ancestors; but also about the landscape, architecture and culture of the areas we visited along the West Coast. In addition to choosing two spectacular pubs for our lunch and dinner; he recommended our south-to-north hike along the Cliffs of Mohr (therefore avoiding the crowds). Our 17yr old & 15yr old teens also loved Eamonn and we plan to hire him again in the near future! We HIGHLY recommend any tour with Eamonn!!

While traveling to Ireland with our 18 and 20 year old sons, we were lucky enough to spend two days touring with Eamonn and enjoyed every minute of it. Our trip could have gone sour because our airline lost all of our luggage for several days, but Eamonn saved the day with his cheerful disposition, kind heart, and fun tours! I really appreciated how easily he made my sons smile and how quickly we forgot about our luggage issues as we enjoyed our adventures with Eamonn. He took us to some beautiful locations, we had the most delicious pub food, and met the nicest people. Eamonn always seemed to know the best photo locations, best places to eat (take his recommendations when ordering food- he knows what he is talking about), and even managed to call over a group of cows in a field so that we could pet them (my sons called him the cow whisperer). Overall, being with Eamonn was a great experience and I highly recommend him to anyone wanting to experience the best of Ireland!

Hey Carmen, apologies for my late response. I had such a great time in the company of your family and I must say after the luggage issues you faced, your family was an absolute credit to you and we had a lot of fun on our adventures.

If you want a full Ireland experience with a proud local, learn about the way of life, the history of the Irish, eat good food and feel relaxed all in a day then this tour comes highly recommended. Eamonn was very good at talking to us and getting our interest early in the morning and shaping the day trip to the Cliffs around what we liked all while keeping things moving. In addition to our tour to the Cliffs we spent 2 days with him and also did a tour of Dublin. We only had 2 days in Dublin and he helped us make the most of them. My goal was to give my family a trip of a lifetime and Eamonn delivered. He arranged dinner reservations for us and we even got to meet his wonderful wife! Thanks from Texas!

Where do I even start! We had planned a girls trip to ireland for 5 and I could not have been happier that Eamonn was there to show us around. He is a dublin-er through and through but is so passionate about his country and the history. I loved how he incorporated music into his tours. He made everyone feel safe on our trips and truly went above and beyond giving us candy and even offering neck pillows for the ride back from doolin. I would recommend him time and time again to friends and family because I know they would be in great hands! Made the trip so special and personalized to our interest.

We were a family of seven and we had Eamon with us for five days and we toured almost the whole country together. he helped us create the itinerary and he was also flexible when we had a change of plans. We did it all. From Big city Dublin to the uninhabited wilds of the Wild Atlantic Coast. And, along the way, we learned about the history and culture of Ireland. Highly recommended.

You are in great hands with Eamonn! From our first exchange during the pre-planning I knew we hit the jackpot. His suggestions set the course to optimize every minute we had in Ireland. We especially enjoyed hearing stories of the rich history, coupled with songs which really enhanced his storytelling. Leave it to Eamonn to map out a trip you will never forget!!

Amazing tour, the best tour guide i have ever hired. We were with Eamonn for 3 days while in Dublin. He is thoughtful, knowledgeable, and dedicated to his group. He shared stories, history, music and much of his own life experience with us. this was a great adventure, Ireland without Eamonn would not have been nearly as wonderful. He knows everyone and there are no tourist traps. He always adds a special touch and hated for this time to end.

Thanks,
