    Gay old time
We had a gay old time! I learned lots and loved getting to spend time with other queer people in the city. Well worth the time, and it’s a great price.

    Fabulous tour
This tour was a high point of my trip to Dublin. Our guide, Joe, was extremely knowledgeable about Irish history and the city's role in it. I learned so much and want to read more about this subject. Joe's passion and enthusiasm about his subject was in infectious. He is a natural teacher (and entertainer!). I could do this tour everyday.

Loved every minute of the Alternative Side of Dublin walking tour
I loved every minute of the Alternative Side of Dublin (walking) Tour I participated in yesterday. Our tour guide, Joe, was well qualified to lead the tour. He was knowledgable, erudite, insightful and entertaining and I appreciated his humanistic values which shone through in his tour. We gained insight into a number of important historical sites on the north side of the river, along with their contemporary manifestations, which we would otherwise have walked past unknowing. We finished on the south side, at an alternative cultural site which was a privilege to experience. The tour went for longer than planned - I liked that. Although billed as 'free' I would not have felt comfortable about not paying after the generosity of our tour guide in making it such an educational, enjoyable and memorable experience.

Wide view of Dublin but not our cup of tea
I can't remember our tour guide's name, but he was a little too wandering for us. The 1 1/2 hour tour went 2 1/2 hours - which I wouldn't have minded if I was more engaged. He was incredibly knowledgeable, charming, enthusiastic, full of great stories and quirky. However, we all had a tough time following his timeline - he'd start a story in one century and finish in another - we had a tough time figuring out what he was talking about (somehow he always got back to the original story, sometimes after 10 minutes or so). He also had a habit of talking while walking - which wouldn't be too bad, but he was often facing forward, away from us. He stopped doing that after we asked him not to. If you want something a little more focused that follows a clear path and sticks to the time schedule - probably not for you. If you don't mind wandering the streets with someone who knows a lot who you can ask lots of questions that he probably can answer - you might like it.

    Gay whimsy for the win
Omg everything about this tour was so great: fun, enlightening, a wild ride, villains and victors, and charming queer Irish facts. Conor was one of the best storytellers I’ve seen. Do yourself a favor and book this if you come to Dublin!

Funny and enjoyable (even though it rained)
The guide told us about so many whimsical facts and important stories. We really enjoyed the delivery and even though, as you might already suspect, the stories were mostly pretty bleak, there were several light moments and the tour ended on a high note.

    Must-do tour in Dublin
What a fantastic tour! Our favourite history tour in Dublin. Conor was an absolutely fantastic guide and it was amazing to get a queer perspective on Irish history. Loved it and highly recommend.

    Great fun and very interesting
We booked this tour as apart of Dry January. The worst part about a January festival is how cold it is! But I can't blame anyone for that. The tour was great. Liam was oud guide and I found him charming, knowledgeable and funny. The historical element of the tour was really appreciated as my partner was worried it would be a bit too close to home for any living family members of modern crimes. We have no issues in recommending this to people and have already done so! Thanks so much

    Alternative Dublin Tour
I've been living in Dublin for over 5 years, and in my quest for new discoveries, I stumbled upon the "Alternative Dublin" tour. I decided to give it a shot. Conor, our guide, proved to be fantastic with a captivating personality, excellent storytelling skills, and loads of fun. It was undeniably an alternative tour, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

    Great Tour
I did two tours with this group, and they were both awesome. Even though they were free, they were just as good as paid ones. I'm definitely signing up for more tours in the next few months!

Connor, the best tour guide ever!!
First of all, if you get Connor as your tour guide, just be warned he will make your tour the best experience ever! I randomly came across this tour when I was looking for free things to do in Dublin and I was so surprised and amazed by this tour. Connor created a very great environment to wonder and explore the alternative side to Dublin and showed us the quirky and unusual places that you may not come across by yourself or with another tour. He was hilarious and loved to share his own experiences and stories which just made the time fly. Absolutely adored this tour and getting to learn about clockwork doors and their amazing spaces to get to meet people and do some fun activities whilst in Dublin. If I’m ever back, I will definitely be checking them out. Thank you so much alternative Dublin and Connor for an amazing walkabout tour today!!!

Had the free walking tour with Conor on a blowy/drizzly Saturday morning. Great experience seeing parts of Dublin we would never have found. Informative, irreverent and funny - would highly recommend. Thanks Conor!

    Not to be missed!
We are so happy we were able to get on this tour. Our guide Connor was captivating, sharing both acknowledged facts and historical gossip with humour and aplomb. He felt like a friend taking you around to all the best spots and sharing juicy details with you.

5* Fabulous tour around the hidden hotspots of Dublin. Ciaran was our host and brilliant fun with lots of local knowledge on each piece of art. He gave us lots of time to ask questions and take photos. the two hours flew by but we covered loads of areas. I'd highly recommend doing the early 9am tour to see the city as it sleeps...

WOW 5*..... STOP. Thank you so much Debs that's actually the best review we've gotten since we started this touryear ago. I'm glad you enjoyed it and learned lots. It's amazing how we only travel across The Liffey but see so much. 9am is definitely the best tour but the hardest to get people on I'm so glad you got to see that time. Again thank you for such an amazing review it's so sweet! You should also look up The City Speaks it's a street art podcast / interactive tour that covers Smithfield.

Great tour. Ciaran is a fantastic guide who knows his subject, whether it is on the story of the work or the ins and outs of street art. I would no longer see street graffiti in the same way.
If you want to discover or learn more about street art this is definitely a must to do!!

Ciaran was a fantastic guide. Having grown up in Dublin, he is a wealth of knowledge and has some very funny and interesting stories to share. The stories about the street art were fascinating and he's really opened my eyes to what is going on around me.. I'll make sure I look up more going forward and I'm looking forward to joining more of his tours in the future.

This tour was amazing. Very insightful and interesting. Ciaran was a great tour. We saw about 30 pieces around the quays area in town and he gave us so much knowledge of the artists and pieces. I live in Dublin and have been to the city many times and I have walked by and missed so many beautiful things that we were shown in this tour. I highly recommend this tour if you would like to get to know the city from a different angle.

Ciaran was a great guide who knew the ins and outs of Dublin’s street art. Not only does he know the backstories, but he can explain why the pieces are designed the way they are. He also helps you start to see patterns so by the end you can start recognizing the works and different artists, too! It’s a nice way to learn more about your environment and see things that you may have passed by hundreds of times without much notice. Bring your camera!

These guys are absolutely incredible! The walking tours are a one of a kind experience ran by artists and other creatives living in Dublin. You get a first hand look at art work around the city and a really friendly guide to let you in on all the trade secrets! I've been to their other events too and could not recommend them highly enough. A unique experience for absolutely anyone regardless of your artistic background you are always welcomed and the atmosphere and vibes created at their events is unmatched in anything I've been to before 100/10 - check this out ✨🌈

I really enjoyed the Street Art tour with Eoin. Everyone was given a lovely welcome by both Eoin and Diarmuid before heading off on a lovely little wander around side streets and busier thoroughfares alike.

We were introduced to some beautiful street art and given lots of information about the artists and the stories behind the pieces.

Art is all around us. Sometimes we just need to remember to open our eyes, close the phone apps, and look up.

I am a Dub born and bred and still discovered new side streets and alleys to explore.

Thank you guys!!

Look forward to the music tour!!

I was looking for a easygoing Sunday activity and learn more about the city. Owen was our instructor at the tour. He was super nice, professional and well informed about the different art pieces. I would highly recommend this tour for whoever is looking for a fun activity and looking at different parts of the city.

The tour was a pleasant walk and we saw a ton of incredible art. Cieran gave a thorough rundown of the concepts behind the work and the artists themselves. We got to explore some cool alleyways and side streets that had venues and galleries I’d definitely want to go back and visit. Altogether a great experience.
