About
This expertly guided road trip, along 1100km of ever-changing landscape, along The Wild Atlantic Way is a great way to explore Ireland. Take in Clonmacnoise, once a huge monastic city; kiss the Blarney Stone and get the gift of the ‘gab’ (talk); handy for getting to know your small tour group. Then how about Kinsale harbour where wild, Red Snapper and John Dory fight it out to be your catch of the day and into The Ring of Kerry, with only the Atlantic separating the 40 shades from the 50 U.S. states. Cool down with Fungie, Dingle’s resident dolphin who came for the fish in 1984 and stayed for the craic or stand on The Cliffs of Moher and feel you’re at the edge of the world. And in between the heritage and culture, there’ll be ceol agus craic (music and boldness), seafood and banter, city (Galway) and island hopping (Aran)and an epic road-trip you’ll never forget.

Whole heartedly recommend this company

I can't say enough about this tour company. We had a small intimate group. Inspire of cancellations (TY COVID), they proceeded with the tour. They picked a variety of spots to see. The guide, Finn, was fantastic. Answered all my questions and I feel sometimes like I am the queen of questions. Finn balanced the needs of the group superbly. I was sorry when it ended. We had some options during the tour. The Castle was the best! West Kerry Sheep Dog demonstrations actually was even better.

Tour showed us things we never would've found on our own!
Sep 2019
Just returned from a wonderful first trip to Ireland. I've heard so many good things about traveling there, but there was absolutely no letdown. On my first non-business trip by myself, I took a small-group tour with Pat of Overland Ireland. He was wonderful! So well-versed, funny and interesting every day, he led us to experience a feel for Ireland that is far from the big Dublin (which I loved as well). We visited an intriguing woman who owned and ran her family business of sheep. Her sheepdogs and sheep compete in national events and are amazingly trained. We got to sit in her home (charming) and meet her sheep, new lambs (we bottle-fed them), and her amazing sheepdogs (including a brand new pup). She was a wonderful speaker, and so charming. We met a weaver who started a second career in an old craft, heard wonderful traditional Irish music, toured the awesome Atlantic coast. We also hiked two days, ate and drank a bit in lots of small local pubs, and saw the amazingly beautiful scenery of Ireland. My group was mixed age/sex and we really had a wonderful time together! I was leery of it, but it was absolutely the smart decision. I thoroughly recommend Overland Ireland. They were helpful before the trip with recommendations for connections, hotel for before and after tour, and anything I needed help with. Pat was charming and led such a great group over his beautiful Ireland - his love for it was contagious. Go next Spring!

Amazing tour, stunning views and Pat is the GREATEST tour guide!!

This tour was amazing, we had a wonderful small bus, just 6 of us on the tour together. We enjoyed lunches together, hikes, kayaking, boat trips, dinners, drinks, live music. Pat even sang song for us!

There was never a quiet moment on the bus, Pat made sure to tell us everything about where we were, he has great local knowledge, great knowledge of trees, plants and animals too. He is HILARIOUS, and a great singer! Although I have lived in Ireland most of my life Pat taught me so many things I didn't already know.

It was my first time to the Aran Islands, Cliffs of Moher and many other places. I was so awe struck by the beauty. I would highly recommend this tour, friends for life, lots of laughing, stunning pictures and SO much learning.
