    Exceptional experience!!
The Overland Ultimate small group tour we took in June 2024 was terrific. Our group meshed very well, which made it super enjoyable. Our Guide, Mark, was very friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating, positive, and has a great sense of humor. He kept us informed of our itinerary each day, including any changes or options we had. We loved all the sites we visited which included history, culture, scenic landscapes, and fun activities. All of the guides at the various venues were also very good. We were pleased with the accommodations, in fact in most cases they far exceeded our expectations. Ireland is a great place to visit, and Overland made sure that we were comfortable and our itinerary was filled with great stuff. We would highly recommend Overland.

Seeing and doing the most one can do in 10 days.
I have done many large bus tours of european countries. I can't say enough about the small bus as opposed to the large one. You get a total different experience. Getting to know this group of people, interact with the tour director, and see and visit so many places . Sheamus, tour director, provided a scenic and informative insight to Ireland. I have recommended this tour to many already.

    A wonderful tour!
This was a great tour with an amazing group of people. Mark did a wonderful job and was a excellent host throughout the entire trip. He was always considerate and offered flexibility regarding activities. We realize how much organizing goes on behind the scenes on these trips and we are very much appreciative. Thank you.

    Amazing 10 Day Tour
When I was planning to travel to Ireland for 2 weeks with my Mom, I wanted to see as many places as possible without planning. Looking at the options I stumbled upon Overland Ireland and decided to book since it was a small group. I could not be more pleased with the tour, we went to some of the most beautiful places I would have never thought of going to. I completely fell in love with Ireland and cannot wait to go back. Our tour guide Seamus was amazing and exceeded expectations. Seamus is so knowledgeable about all the places we traveled to. He is so engaging, helpful and humorous (kudos to him for putting up with my sarcastic personality)!

    Ireland is a must see
My husband and I have always avoided group tours. We decided to take a chance with Overland and we were very pleasantly surprised. The 10 day tour gave us a great sampling of Ireland highlights. We were fortunate to have Mark as our tour guide. He took great care of the group. He's a wealth of knowledge and was very accommodating to the groups needs/wants. He even snuck in a few extra highlights that were awesome additions.

    It Was Grand!
What a wonderful experience! We had a wonderful tour guide, Cathal, he was kind, considerate, a great driver and great singer🤣. We kissed the Blarney Stone, saw the Cliffs of Moher, walked up to the monastery at the top of Skellig Michael, biked all around the National Park of Killarney and took a bike tour of Galway and lots more. Our tour had such a fun group that made the trip even more wonderful. I would recommend this tour to anyone and I would go again!!

    A Grand Vacation!
My daughter, who had just graduated from college, and I took this tour. The tour was great, the B&B accommodations were always nice and clean- (loved the B&B in Doolan). The time allotments per stop was great- the trip is a well laid out machine. Our visits to Skellig Michael and biking on the Isle of Aran were major highlights. However, the real enjoyment factor of the trip comes from the people in your group. Our group blended seamlessly due largely in part to our fearless and fun leader. Cathal, our tour guide was amazing! He was always cheerful, helpful, funny and kind. He is an excellent driver and doesn’t even mind if you join him singing while he is driving. This trip to Ireland is one of my favorites and will stand out for a long time. Thank you Cathal for providing such an amazing and “grand” welcome to your beautiful country.

    Sampler of Ireland's best
Our guide, Pat, was fun, knowledgeable, attentive and efficient. He made our disparate group feel like a family and that we were long lost relatives come for a visit. Pat made the journey fun, informative and trouble free. He pointed out great places to eat, drink, and find music and was very clear on timetables and degrees of difficulty. I will highly recommend Overland Adventures to friends and family.

    10 Day Dublin to Dublin!
We took the 10 Day excursion and we were on the go for those 10 days seeing all of Ireland had to offer. Between Dublin and all the quaint villages and the beautiful scenery, the bed and breakfasts, castles, kayaking, the Cliffs of Moher, the walking tours, the cycling, the ancient burial grounds of Newgrange, Derry and Belfast (Titanic Experience) it was wonderful. In summary, Seamus our tour guide played an integral role in making our Ireland Overland Tour a remarkable experience. His knowledge, friendliness, organization, storytelling, attentiveness, and adaptability exceeded all our expectations. I feel incredibly fortunate to have had such an exceptional guide and would highly recommend him and the Overland Tour Company to anyone considering a tour of Ireland. His contribution truly elevated our trip, leaving me with lasting memories and a deep appreciation for the Emerald Isle Philip

    Wonderful tour and guide!
I exhaustively researched many tour companies and itineraries before booking with Overland Ireland for the great mix of sights and experiences in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. My expectations were high and I was not disappointed. I expected beautiful scenery, fun active outings, nice hotels, and fascinating history (including compelling tours of Belfast and Derry with guides who had lived through the Troubles and fun tours of Galway and Kinsale). Overland delivered on all of these. What really made the tour exceed my expectations was our guide Mark. He was a great driver and managed to have us see so much without rushing us through sites and meals. Even riding in the van was pleasant because Mark had such interesting things to share about Irish history, geography, culture, government, etc. Stops were well planned and we were never in van too long. Mark was patient and kind also, and made efforts so all of us could have a great time. Highly recommended!

Overland 10 day tour exceeds expectations
Every aspect of this tour exceeded our expectations. Mark, our tour guide was superb; informative, provided great options at various stops, very accommodating as well being an excellent driver. The tour itself offered a variety of activities from seeing spectacular sites, museums, castles, adventures like sea kayaking and e-bike touring. It had something to meet everyone’s interest. We stayed in a wide variety of places, from large cities to small quaint towns and a stunning castle as well. All accommodations were outstanding, beautifully appointed in great locations. Every detail was looked after. This totally took the stress out of travel. An awesome experience!

Rabbies Tour With Marcus Exceeds Expecttions
This 5 day Rabbies tour to the West Coast of Ireland was excellent. We were five adult siblings and two in-laws travelling together . The best part about the tour was our guide, Marcus. He was absolutely professional, making sure we were always safe, but better than that he was full of Irish wit and so much knowledge about the country. He regaled us with tales of his Nan, the fairies and his adventures, He told us ahead of time when we would be stopping and was very perceptive to the group dynamics. The Clonmacnoise monastery gave a wonderful introduction to the religious life of the early Christians in Ireland. Marcus also took us off the main highways so we had a better impression of the rural life .In Galway for the first night we enjoyed the lively ambiance of the town. Marcus always drove us around before dropping us off to point out various places to eat or visit which was very helpful. We enjoyed our visit to the Cliffs of Moher and then we arrived in Killarney. It was great to be able to spend three nights in one place . You could unpack your bags and really relax, Each day we just set out in a different direction to see more beautiful scenery and sites. The stunning vistas of the Dingle Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry certainly showed off the verdant landscape of Ireland.Marcus even arranged for us to see a demonstration of how a sheepdog works, which was delightful. On the last day we visited the Blarney Castle, which had a beautiful set of gardens. The 16 seater Mercedes-Benz van was very comfortable. We switched seats every day so that people would have different views. When you book a Rabbies tour you can choose to book your own accommodations or you can have Rabbies do them for you. We were very pleased with the accommodations that were selected for us. All the places we stayed in were lovely and included a full English breakfast with various choices. Rabbies policy is to try and support local businesses so people stayed in various accommodations. Marcus was the best ambassador for Ireland and for Rabbies and I highly recommend this tour company. Amazing and Memorable Seven Days in Coastal Southwestern Ireland
Hugh O'Reilly was our tour guide, par excellence! He had an amazing ability to relate and read our group of ten - when to explain about our sites, when to listen, when to play Irish music, when to let us sleep, when to quicken or slow the pace! He had a wonderful sense of humor, was always upbeat and smiling and was quite the dapper dresser. Hugh had a wealth of information about Irish history and countable anecdotes about his childhood and his family. Highly professional, at the end of the tour Hugh offered ways to make the tour even better. He mentioned increasing nights to three in Killarney and Galway to use them as bases and not have to pack and unpack each day. This would allow a tour of the Dingle Penninsula, and Westport. All in all, a great tour guide and a very nice and unforgettable person! Felt lucky to have been with him and with our amazing group! I was solo among four couples and a daughter of one of the couples and we all got along fantastically. Five out of five for the tour and the group! Memorable moments: Blarney Castle, Middleton Distillery, Rock of Cashell, Kelmare, Sheep Farm, Skellig Michael and its adorable puffins (not the boat ride, too choppy!), Killarney and Kayaking Killarney Nat'l Park, and the group dynamics. Would highly recommend Hugh O'Reilly and this tour including Dingle!

I did a lot of extensive research before booking this tour since there are so many choices when it comes to tour companies. Overland Ireland did not dissapoint!! This was such a treasured experience for myself and my family. I have to say our tour guide, Eoin (Owen), is such an asset to Overland Ireland. His knowledge, wonderful disposition and insightfulness made our 7-Day tour an exceptional experience. I highly, highly recommend Overland Ireland to anyone who wants to see the real Ireland in a small group setting at a pace that can truly be enjoyed. The hotels were wonderful because they were unique and different and gave you a true sense of the Ireland you were experiencing. The Mercedes van we traveled in was definitely comfortable and even had USB ports so you could charge your phone. Eoin kept us informed of everything we were going to see and do on the given day. He really added that something extra special to the tour. Don't hesitate to book with Overland Ireland. It really is that good.

This was our first tour of Ireland and experience with Overland Tours. It turned out to be one of the best trips we’ve taken. Overland has put together a package that offers an excellent itinerary, accommodations and local experiences that showcase Ireland’s and her people’s warm and welcoming nature.
And, not only did the weather cooperate but our guide, Connor was quite possibly the best host we could have asked for. The history of Ireland, the land, her people and music can best be shared with one that truly loves his country and heritage. We were able to enjoy a number of evenings listening to local music in the perfect setting, enjoying “the water of life.” He’s a great ambassador for Ireland and if one is lucky enough to have him as their guide it will be a great experience.

Great travel experience, led by an incredible tour guide. Conor guided us through his native country, shared stories, taught us Irish, and provided us with a perfect week. We saw Ireland through the perspective of someone who was very proud of his heritage, and that made a world of difference.
Conor's family is well known in the Irish music scene, so he also played some music for us.
I highly recommend Overland, and hopefully you will get Conor as your tour guide.

Our tour of Ireland was phenomenal. We had a week to view the natural beauty with fantastic weather, but most importantly was our tour guide Connor. Connor is native to Ireland and was able to show us the best places to eat, shop, and explore! Connor also provided us with some of his great music playing abilities on multiple occasions. Connor had many stories to supplement his tour from his own life and helped immerse ourselves in such a great country! When I return to Ireland I will be requesting Connor as my tour guide every time, such a great guy that goes above any and all expectations!

The 7-day Emerald Explorer was the perfect way for me, my family and friends to see some of the most exquisite parts of Ireland. It was so nice to not worry about booking accommodations or driving the narrow, winding roads of Ireland. Mark, our guide, was very knowledgeable. He also made sure that all reservations were in order prior to arriving at the various tours. There were a couple of locations in which Overland Ireland had booked a guide at that particular venue who new even more detailed information and tips for getting the most out of that particular place. We had a person with a mobility issue, and Mark went out of his way to make sure he was able to participate as fully as possible. Mark also booked several dinner reservations ahead of time for our group, which was incredibly helpful after a long day of sightseeing. Thanks for a great Irish holiday!

Our 7 day Overland Ireland tour just finished up back in Dublin. It met all our expectations to experience the southern part of Ireland and the varied landscape and associated history. What attributed to that was our guide, Pat O Mara, who was naturally focused on the needs and comfort of the group, was knowledgeable and had a way of sharing that was both creative and flexible to the interests of the group.
We travelled with a group of friendly and compatible people and quickly developed a lovely camaraderie of friendship that lent itself to humor and lite heartedness. We could not have desired for more!

The Overland Emerald Tour was great. EOIN, the tour guide, made it very special with all his expertise. Each day he gave such interesting information about the culture, history, old myths, and the stories were all enjoyable (along with the singing!). The scenery was outstanding.
He answered all our many questions so thoroughly. He was an excellent driver. The van had a smooth ride, seats might be a bit skimpy for some folks, but I think their vans must vary. There was trouble with the door opening at times. We loved all the stops. All the other guides were superb as well. The tasting in Galway was such a nice touch. Hotels were good and the meals gave a good start for each day. What a memorable week!!

We had a great experience on the 7 day, ‘Emerald Explorer’ tour with Mark as our driver/guide (days 1-5), along with Breda (days 6-7). We saw and learned so much about many aspects of the beautiful country, people, language and history.

Every detail of our tour was carefully and thoughtfully organized. We were busy each day with stops along the way to visit multiple sites of historic or geographic significance — with down time in the late afternoons/evenings to explore on our own. We often chose to grab a pint, or share a meal with our traveling companions, all of whom we now consider friends.

Behind the scenes, the office staff (Leah and Cathy) were helpful, responsive and reassuring, answering pre-travel questions via email.

Loved the tour. Our tour guide, Jimmy K, was amazing. He knows every inch of the island. Our bus could have up to 14 people, I think, and we had 11. You have to get used to your group because you are with them on the bus for hours. You generally have breakfast together as well.

Everything is handled for you - all the room arrangements (we had 5 people, 2 adults, 1 recent HS grad, and two elem school kids) are made and ours was complicated. We needed a triple and a double. Admission tickets are included and you get to pass the queue generally. Lunch & dinner suggestions are given, but you are responsible for them. Make sure to keep on eye on the clock so you have time to eat.

It is rough going each morning, so be prepared to pack quickly in the morning. You leave just after breakfast each day, except in Dingle. I would prob like to stay in Kinsale moreso than Dingle.

Jimmy took us to an incredible sheep dog demo - our kids fed the sheep & donkeys. Some of the bus rides are daunting, as you're on cliffs sometimes. The scenery is lovely. There are lots of little opportunities to stop and take pics.

Be prepared for walking and layers for the weather. I get hot, so I often had my jacket around my waist.

Ireland is lovely & Overland is a great way to do it! Highly recommend!

The Emerald Explorer Tour was beyond fabulous. The sights were stunning and the history interesting. Our guide, Eoin, was always professional, organized, efficient, helpful, and knowledgeable. His knowledge about the prehistory, history, geography, literature, music, crafts, climate, culture, dialects, religion, architecture, and social mores was nonpareil. Eoin was passionate about sharing his knowledge of Ireland with us and his humor and insight made the trip delightful. We also appreciated his special efforts to make the trip memorable in so many ways. Many thanks to Eoin and Overland Ireland for far exceeding our expectations of traveling through beautiful Ireland.
