My daughter and I were looking to experience more of Ireland outside of Dublin. We decided on the day trip to Kilkenny and the Wicklow mountains. We enjoyed our time meandering the streets of Kilkenny after walking around the castle and grabbing a pint and some chips at the historic Kyteler’s Inn. After our visit to Kilkenny our driver Jackie brought us through the countryside to the edge of the Wicklow mountains where we enjoyed a soft Irish day walking the trails to both the lower and upper lakes at Gledalough. He shared a secret vista that overlooked the Guinness family lake that served as a filming location for the Vikings TV series and the ridge that Mel Gibson ran along in Braveheart. Jackie was a fantastic guide whose truthful perspective on the history of his country was refreshing, revealing and hilarious. I highly recommend this trip if you are pressed on time but want to experience life outside of the bustle of Dublin City and the beauty of the Irish countryside. If you can get Jackie - even better. Sláinte!!

Extremely punctual and easy bus ride, amazing scenery and a great 80-90min window for a short hike. Left us wanting much more! There was a small food cart for snacks at our stop too. Bus driver was very lively with the right amount of commentary and we were back in time for lunch.

A relaxing and comfortable morning full of breathtaking views through a part of Ireland that felt remote. Tour guide was interesting and relevant. Time at the abbey was short but we knew that when we booked. Coach left on time and we were delivered back to an alternate location for our safety due to spontaneous protest March downtown. Driver and guide were courteous and friendly.

Terrible, terrible, terrible! We booked this tour months ago, and had a confirmation. On the morning of the trip Monday Aug 30, we showed up before the designated pickup time of 8:15am. Other tour pickups occurred and Paddywagon even had another pickup for a longer multi-day tour, whose operator told us to stand by. After an hour and 3 phone calls to their office (none of which were answered) we left. Contacting them by email, they replied that they had lost our reservation in their system (?) and therefore had not contacted us, but the tour only left on Tuesdays now. 1) they continued, even in their email reply to us, to publish the phone number which they don’t answer. 2) what kind of outfit “loses a reservation in their system”? I do NOT RECOMMEND this company, we were terribly disappointed.

I didn't have the flexibility to do a full day tour, so I was glad to join this tour. Even for a half-day, we still got to enjoy some really spectacular scenery (I ended up taking one of my favorite nature shots ever on this tour). Our guide was insightful and very friendly.

Started with confusion where is the right stop picked up. Our ticket said Paddy’s palace we got there, found a bus just to being told he is not going to Wicklow but to Cork. We panicked then we found another address next to Spire and more Confusion another bus, too many people and not enough seats, driver called somewhere, told us another bus is coming. I think little sign behind the window where the bus is going wouldn’t be a bad idea. After we found our right bus everything was great! JJ our driver and guide for this half day was great! Very funny and full of good stories! Definitely recommend this trip outside of Dublin! Totally worth it! Those scenery, nature, air it is just absolutely amazing and fresh! Thank you JJ for a lovely morning!

This was a perfect half day tour with gorgeous views! The tour guide was a bit more low key, so this was a relaxing morning with a great itinerary. Awesome photo stops of the Lou towns, Guinness Lake, and Glendalough. Being able to explore around Glendalough and surrounding area for an hour was a definite highlight with beautiful scenery! Definitely recommend if you want to get out of this city for a tour but don’t want to commit to a full day.

My daughter and I only had a few days in Dublin, and I'm so glad we took this 1/2 day trip. Despite some very unpredictable weather, we were able to see Guinness Lake and the surrounding countryside, as well as the lakes in Glendalough. Our driver was very friendly, funny & knowledgeable. The views were incredible! I highly recommend this tour.

We booked this tour as we liked the part about seeing where braveheart and p.s I love you was filmed but you don't really get to see this. The tour guide briefly says 'oh this was where braveheart & p.s I love you was filmed but we expected to be shown actually spots and bit more information. So we were disappointed to be honest. Lovely scenery and as expected not much time to walk around but we knew this would be the case before we booked. So if you want longer to explore and enjoy book the full day tour.

No one should visit Dublin without making some time to see Glendalough & the Wicklow Mountains. This is an easy half day tour to one of the most beautiful places you will ever see - Glendalough is breathtakingly pretty, and after the crowds and activity of Dublin, just a very welcome respite. Joe was a most reliable guide - he offered succinct, interesting information on a variety of topics relevant for an understanding of Dublin's development, and Irish history, in general. He is not a guide who feels the need to talk non-stop (we've had many of those lol), and for this, we were grateful. Our tour was relaxing, informative, and scenic in a way that can't really be captured in a brief review. Truly, one of the highlights of of most recent visit!
