About
This tour takes in some of the most spectacular scenery Ireland has to offer. drive through charming towns and villages along rugged and breath-taking scenery.
Ireland is all about its people, its stories and slower pace. We love to chat with our visitors in a friendly pub or on quirky streets. We are curious, (some might say nosey) about our visitors and love to listen to where they come from, and where they are going. There is always a story to tell or a secret to share with visitors. There are no strangers to the Irish, just friends they haven't met.
The Beautiful Southwest Tour is the best of scenery, seashore, rolling green pastures and wild Atlantic waves which create a thoroughly memorable experience. The talent of creative chefs all along the western shores has put the Southwest in the forefront as a top food and holiday destination.
Whether you want a relaxing slow-paced holiday or an activity-focused adventure, we are happy to arrange it from start to finish.

About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 391shanar0 contributionsAMAZING Kinsale experience!!!The tour was amazing!!! Kerri our guide was absolutely terrific . . . so knowledgeable, engaging, fun and a pleasure to spend time with! :) From enjoying fabulous food spots throughout Kinsale to learning the incredible history of such a cool town - we enjoyed every minute!!!Written 20 October 2024
- Anonymous3650 contributionsMust-Do!Kerry did an outstanding job on this tour! It was fun, delicious, perfectly paced (neither rushed nor bogged down with waiting), and informative. We learned much about fascinating Cork history as we jumped from vendor to vendor to sample cheeses, sausages, amazing breads, chocolates, meat pies, and of course Irish coffee. At nearly every stop we spoke with the owners and makers themselves. Pickings will be slim for vegans (vegetarians won’t starve) and I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone with mobility issues. Those caveats aside, this was a must-do in Cork, esp. if you’re lucky enough to tour with Kerry, a Cork native and a delightful, witty guide.Written 25 September 2024
- kathydP9956HV0 contributionsGreat Culinary Experience In Cork! Our culinary tour in Cork was one of the highlights of our Ireland trip. Amanda provided an information packed tour. She grew up in Cork and provided so much information about the city and its history as we traveled between our culinary experiences. She was fun and engaging and did an exceptional job of involving the entire group. It was fun to experience and try all the different local specialities. We would highly recommend this tour and especially Amanda!Written 22 September 2024
- NancyKC400 contributionsGreat culinary tourThis was a most enjoyable tour. It covered some history, a view of historic places and a wonderful experience in the food market. We tasted a variety of foods that were delicious. Amanda, our guide, was knowledgeable and fun. I would highly recommend it.Written 13 September 2024
- Kenneth M0 contributionsA Beautiful and Delicious Day in Kinsale!Four of us had only a day to explore Kinsale, and we were very fortunate to have chosen this tour. First and foremost, our tour guide Kerry couldn’t have been nicer, more interesting, and more knowledgeable! Each of our five stops offered a different tasting experience - in each case, a table was waiting for us and we were offered a special selection of delightful food and drink. The tastings were all very local and very fresh, and memorable. In between stops, we were able to explore the beautiful and historic Kinsale in a relaxed fashion, with Kerry’s warm conversation and informative descriptions. Definitely the best way we could have spent our day in Kinsale!Written 12 September 2024

- annabellec6510 contributionsHighlight experience in Cork! Our food tour in Cork was one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland. Kerry was a wonderful guide! There was supposed to be another couple on our tour, but they didn’t show up. We ended up having a private tour with Kerry. She was engaging and knowledgeable, and we appreciated her sharing some of her own experiences as a local. Everything we tried was delicious and we certainly were full by the end of the tour. We highly recommend Kerry and this food tour!Written 9 August 2024

She made ourselves surprised in a good way by singing an Irish song while drinking our Irish coffee. The food was delicious. "I've just returned from my best vacation ever, 2 weeks in Ireland, with the international potter's group (ICAN), arranged by Francis at Bonner travel, for 22 travellers. There were both potters attending workshops and non-potters on our tour of the Emerald Isle, so alternate activities were arranged for workshop times. Francis rose to the challenge of herding so many cats and went beyond expectations to ensure enjoyable experiences were had by all. Frances kept us very informed, advised and entertained during our excursions. She had the best cuisine recommendations, shops to visit and assistance with reservations for our unplanned time. Our tour driver was very knowledgeable about the highways and byways and got us safely and very comfortably shuttled around, from Dublin to Kinsale and the Wild Atlantic Way, with sights to be enjoyed off the beaten path. Our tour was a perfect mix of scheduled itinerary vs spontaneous opportunity, (such as the hilarious and spooky premier return of the Kinsale Ghost tour from Covid hiatus). Our tour would have been a good value at twice the price, for the memories and new friends made. I didn't want to leave Ireland when it was time to go. I'm planning to return soonest. Bonner Travel will be the first call I make to arrange a much longer stay."

Hello Colette, Thank you for the great review. I was delighted to meet all the Potters and you were lovely. It was a good tour, despite the obstacles from a Post Covid hospitality sector and I promise you an even better tour next time around. Take care and keep on potting!!

"I had an amazing first tour of Ireland with Frances and Bonner Travel! Our trip was Pottery based with a bonus of extra time spent learning about Ireland and immersing ourselves in the Irish culture. Frances was a wealth of knowledge, and quickly ascertained what the group wanted and aimed to please. . I loved meeting and working with local artisans and exploring the different counties. The bulk of our time was spent in Kinsale and I would go back in a heartbeat! Thank you Frances for making our trip such a joy!"

The tour and tour guide were the best I've ever been on! Frances was funny, knowledgeable and had a lovely Irish accent and demeanor that made this tour so easy going. The weather was great and the views were amazing. Everything was organized from the airport pick-up to accommodation to great places to visit, Frances's attention to detail went above and beyond. Highly recommended.
